Hello everyone. First of all, i must say that i have experience with Android phones, but i never had such a big problem. I simply can't unlock the bootloader of my P760. I have tried all the methods available in this forum and other forums, tried many open KDZ's [now using V20B Europe open], had a lot of tries....Nothing worked. At the adb command "reboot oem-unlock", from the pc or from the terminal emulator it just reboots the phone.
Everytime I installed a new kdz i waited 30-60 minutes, or even 2 hours. It just didn't work.
I tried with installing V10A, hard reset and then V20B, tried reinstalling drivers, tried different computer with different OS.
I lost like....ten hours today trying different combinations to make it work....nothing!
I've read that the bootloader unlocking is something you can't redo. So, tehnically, somewhere there is a 1 which will be converted to a 0, and then erased. Maybe someone know's where is that code situated...Just saying...
EDIT: I forgot that my phone is locked in Orange Romania. Is this a possible reason?
Have you tried these drivers? http://www.driverscape.com/download/lg-p760

Yes, I did.
I'm having trouble too. I read somewhere that after flashing euro 20B, if you hard reset the phone semi-locks the bootloader. Maybe you need to flash it twice using the offline tool?

Are y'all able to root your phones?
Yes, i have rooted my phone with the LGpwn.apk and installed recovery with artas installer.
About the semi-unlocking i really doubt that installing the same kdz will do anything.
I will try v20c....hope it will work.

This is leading me to believe that LG has taken away the bootloader access with certain models. More likely they removed fastboot like with other midrange phones after flashing a specific JB update.

Too bad there is a serious lack of devs here. They could have compared the uboot and found a way to compile a modified bootloader compatible with the TI board.

I talked today with someone from LG USA[the one from Romania was a total moron] and he said that the carrier may apply a bootloader lock which is unlockable....except for them, so today i am going to an Orange Shop to see what's this about.

LG employees will never reveal those steps. I spoke to a rep and he told me that the answer is on the internet and that I have to search.
T-Mobile support have no idea what a bootloader is and pass the hot potato to LG.

Does the dump include the modem? We desperately needed the modem to be ported to the international versions (I-9200 and I-9205). HSPA+ signals are very inconsistent and I believe porting the modem from the AT&T version will help us a lot.

Baseband is the modem version, IMEI is the unique identifier that registers you on the network. So I doubt the phone or data will work without those. Are you rooted?
I would do a full backup, and then try a repair in pc companion then post back.
I've seen someone else with a similar issue who's had to send it back to Sony for repairs as couldn't find a fix, UK that's the worst case scenario, start with a repair.

You don't need to be rooted to flash stock ROM and don't need to unlock bootloader either. I would suggest flashing 532 first and seeing how it is.

Odds are you won't be able to unlock unless someone creates a new method.
Alright, once i have been unlocking bootloader on p760 and i was succesful from first try. But i did this after i've reflashed kdz threw lg support tool, because i,ve got security alert. I wanted to flash cyanogen mod, and after flashing, i've got security alert. so i reflashed kdz with support tool and after that i succesful unlocked bootloader by adb unlock. so i'm wondering.. maybe we need first to get security error, when fix it and after that try to unlcok? anyone, who got unlocked, have you ever got security error before?
I don't see many thread on the AT&T version. Do we have anyone actually working on unlocking the boot loader?

They didnt. They danced around it. Its called a safety strap which keeps the bootloader and basically fools the system to thinking it is being used, while tapping other resources and running the alternate operating system. My terminology sucks, but you get it, right.
