Flash Player - G2 General

In case any of you are wondering how you can get flash player on your G2, here's your answer:
Go to - http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html
Scroll down about 3/4 of the page and download the latest version for Android (v11.1.115.81).
Install it and you're done.
I've tested it on BBC Sports (watched MOTD) using the stock browser and the videos there working fine, even in full screen.
Hope this helps and works for you guys.

Flash player for Opera?

Does anybody know were to get flash player cab which would work with Opera?
I have installed flash player from fp7_ppc_en.cab, but this seems to work only with IE and also has some problems.
in order for it to work "well" you need the new version of opera. You need 8.65b to be exact. I believe you can still download it freen off of opera website. FYI the version that comes with the phone is overall better but with the 8.65b you can watch youtube videos off of the rea website not the mobile one.

[Q] (Q) Calkulin+Clemson 1.5 ghz version 5 video trouble

I have installed the calkulin+clemson v5 combo and it works great....Super fast and stable. However, whenever I'm browsing the web and come across a video, the browser crashes. Doesn't matter which browser (the default or dolphin HD.) The whole reason I have a Gtab is to browse the internet, so not have internet videos on this rom is a killer. For example, an embedded youtube video will make browser crash but using youtube app on same video will work fine. Any local video playback is also fine. If no one can help me this can someone recommend a better rom for ONLY browsing the web and sometimes (rarely) playing local videos? Thanks for any help!

Can't speak specifcally about v5 (which is bl1.1 branch), but I am running calkulin+clemson combo v6(bl 1.2 branch) and I have no problems. I can view any flash video from any site; Neflix, Youtube, Hulu, Amazon Videos, Crackle, etc (except Neflix & Crackle from their apps) from the default browser). Have you downloaded the lastest Flash?
It won't let me install flash 10.3 probably because of some compatibility issues. I'll check out version 6, wish me luck 'jumping the gap.'
Could someone link me to the proper way to go from bl 1.1 to 1.2?

If I rememeber correctly, I couldn't do a direct upgrade either...had to uninstall 10.2 then install 10.3
Wow aabbandanza. I just finished installing bl 1.2 clemsyn caulakin Ver 6. And I checked to make sure the embedded videos didn't crash my browser and it crashes . I came back here to post my depressed thoughts and I see that you had first uninstalled 10.2 and then downloaded/installed 10.3. Well, I did that and videos now work! I was turned off by doing something like that because in the release notes the OP mentions that flash VER 10.2.x.x.x would come pre-installed and I figured that I shouldn't mess with that version because it was the only one that would work....silly me. Thanks for solving my problem. Moving to BL 1.2 was totally unnecessary. I could have taken the 30 seconds to uninstall and re-install flash for the same effect! Thanks guys!

Adobe Flash Player apk for Galaxy Note 2 (download link directly from Adobe)

UPDATE: December 13, 2012, Fixes Major 480p Bug, if you have the latest Android 4.1.2
Adobe Flash Player is not just alive and kicking, it has gotten back up, dusted itself off, and is ready to kick some butt.
The Galaxy Note II is future-proof when it comes to Adobe Flash Player support, although it is not officially supported. The apk installers will be available directly from Adobe, and they will keep being updated.
Step 1: Download the apk file below to your device and install when finished. (No rooting necessary.)
Step 2: Open up any browser, except Chrome.
Step 3: Enjoy.

Works well when streaming video in full screen..I have tested on boat browser, stock browser and firefox browser.
The only annoying thing is on note 2 when streaming, my device goes to sleep after 30 seconds when not touching anything while streaming. This does not happen on my galaxy S2 or note 1(the display remains on)

Interesting. I've never had the flash player do that on me, although I am having issues with youtube flash videos on 480p.
I think a lot of these problems are dependent on sites because they all have their own flash app. Also, are you on the stock rom?

[Q] How to get vimeo videos to be displayed?

Hallo everybody,
I am not able to display Vimeo video's at my Samsung Galaxy S2(ICS - 4.0.3. - not rooted).
I installed other browsers like Dolphin, Opera, Chrome, but nothing works. The video's are suites for mobile devices.
I stille get the error "This video can't be played with your current setup. Please switch to a browser that providers native H.264 support or install Adobe Flash Player.".
I can't install Adobe Flash Player, because it is't compatible with the S2.
What can I do? Is it possible to play Vimeo video's on the S2?
Johanna

Hi Yanekx,
You also have to enable the mobile option at your video in Vimeo.
Good luck!

What about videos that are hosted on Vimeo but are embeded on another site like tumblr . Those wont work either. I have the latest flash player from the adobe archive, installed the latest Mozilla Firefox browser (said to be able to play H264 encoded videos), Opera (not the mini version) and ... urgh .. Chrome, yet still ... my S II wont run the videos. Tested on a HTC, they work flawlessly. I use Vodafone stock 4.0.4 ROM, non rooted. I did see however that on one Vimeo forum, one of the "staff" guys said that they are currently working on this issue (working that has been going on for apparently a year or so) but still no ETA on when it will be solved.

use firefox beta and then install flash player for ICS.
FFbeta will add it as an extension and you'll be good to watch flash based vid's
I have been using Baiudu browser so it looks like having the flash set to tab on it instead of autoplay was causing the issue.
Boat browser. Check it out!
