Hello to everyone, i apoligize for my english and if the question was already asked but i have a little problem.
I had a lot of phones even an HTC ONE X that got stolen :crying: , on the HOX i could install Jelly Bean Rom's and all the other Rom's without any big problem if we haven't had S-OFF, the ROM was flashed with recovery then we would flash the Kernel and modules if there was any.
I know that the EVO 3D is not the HOX but the problem is i can't have S-OFF, i have no cid, tried all the solution's even with the HEX editor(xvi32) but the file is full with zero's.I don't know what to do, there are only some ROM's that work with S-ON, like NonSense,mwakious3Drom and CoolSense i find them very sluggish compared to a non bloatware android Rom, i love CyanogenMod 9 bootscreen in 3D but that is all i see because i have always bootloop.
I've tried Flash Gui with no success, tried S-off and destroyed a sd-card .
My little question is:there isn't an analog way like the HOX flashing to flash the most modded roms?
Like flash with recovery the ROM then flash the kernel with [fastboot flash boot boot.img] and if there is modules then flash those throughthe recovery.
Please someone could tell me so i know that i can't put an CyanogenMod Rom without S-OFF and stop trying.
Hey Guys,
my friend gave me his EVO to update it. It's fully unlocked with S-OFF, but there's one problem. Once I've flashed any JB ROM like Slim or Carbon phone reboots after installation and goes into bootloop. I think there's a problem with kernel but I can't find any compatible. Can you help me?
EDIT: It isn't kernel problem (I've tired to flash boot.img after installation with no progress)
make sure your hboot is 1.49.0007. you can get it here
if it still doesn't boot then maybe the phone is running on an older firmware. you can get new firmware from here
Hi All,
Been an Android guy since the G1, but that was also the last time I had anything HTC. Picked up a One yesterday and I'm so happy to be back.
Did a bunch of reading before getting the phone. I wanted to make sure I didn't do anything irreversible. Before I received the phone, I'd read that you couldn't get S-Off with 1.27.531.11, as they'd patched the HBOOT (even though it's still 1.44.) So once I got the phone and confirmed it was on 1.27.531.11, I performed my first step:
1. Downgraded from 1.27.531.11 to 1.27.531.8.
Next:
2. Unlocked using htcdev
3. Flashed TWRP as recovery
4. Installed Android Revolution HD 4.0 Google Edition
All went smoothly! Because I had no issues with this, I decided it was worth it to push on and get S-Off and SuperCID. I read Vomer's guide many times over, and was about to get rolling with revone, when I found another guide ([GUIDE] PRE-S-OFF - IMPORTANT INFO - Read Before Going To S-OFF Threads!) which contained the following:
You are on or flash a STOCK Sense 5, Android 4.1 ROM! (NOTE: 4.2 Software may be OK however for your best chances use the oldest you possibly can!!
But as a result of #4, I'm now on a GPE 4.3 Rom. This gave me pause.
So, two (and a half!) questions really:
1. Should I flash back to a 4.1 or 4.2 rom prior to trying to get S-Off through revone? If so, what rom should I use? My best guess, if this is necessary is Team Nocturnal's Stock Rooted 1.27.531.8
2. Is there anything else flashing Android Revolution HD 4.0 might have done that would cause problems when trying to use revone to get S-Off? I still have Hboot 1.44, and I don't *think* flashing that rom would have somehow made this the patched version present in 1.27.531.11, but I just want to be sure of what I'm doing. (That question sounds so noobish! But better safe than sorry, I'm thinking.)
Thanks in advance, guys. Really didn't have a great community around my last phone, and I'm psyched to be back amongst a big group of tinkerers.
And from that same guide:
Are not using a GE ROM, 4.3 Rom or on stock 4.3 software
So it definitely seems like I should flash something older first. Just want to confirm what would be best (and make sure there's nothing else I need to do as well prior to using revone.)
All set. S-Off and SuperCID achieved.
For anyone who finds this thread down the road:
As long as you've downgraded to 1.27.531.8, just make sure you're on a 4.2.2 or earlier rom. Multiple reports of revone not working with 4.3 roms. You're on an older rom after doing the downgrade, so if you don't flash anything after that, you're ready to use revone.
Thank you for the info! I had wondered the same thing!

Hi there,
I'm sorry if this has been covered before in another thread but after searching with limited success I have been unable to find a detailed answer, perhaps I'm just a little bit dim & have missed something however.
QUESTION:
After installing CyanogenMod 11.0 [KitKat][4.4.2] by "Gava97" I have found that it is simply not for me. I would very much like to install Destro316's "Proformance" ROM [4.0.4] http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...m-4-0-4-proformance-rom-long-battery-t2547481 as it seems much more stable having been based on a stock Sony ROM.
Do I just flash the new ROM over the previous one? Do I return to a stock setup & redo the rooting process? If so, how?
Being extremely new at this android thing, I'm a little stumped as to how to proceed. All instructions seem too vague for me to confidently follow without bricking something. As I said, it may just be that I'm a missing something.
Phone was originally running [2.3.7] when I bought it, though I soon flashed to stock Sony ICS [4.0.4] Firmware version 6.1.1.B.1.100.
I unlocked my bootloader, rooted & installed Clockwordmod Recovery via this tutorial: www(dot)youtube(dot)com/watch?v=V232-3tZddE
I would be very grateful if anyone could fill me in with a step-by-step guide on removing all traces of CyanogenMod & installing this new ROM. Any suggestions for different ROM's are welcome as well, of course.
-----
Bootloader unlocked: Yes
Root: Yes
Clockworkmod Recovery: Yes
Kernel version: Transcendence v 1.1.6
Flashtool Version: 0.9.14.0
PC: Windows 7

I really am sorry if I missed something in my search, I'm very new at this.
I appreciate anyone taking the time to read this & help me out.
Cheers,
Miles

Just follow the instructions on the ROM threat, this is erasing your CM 11, then install your ROM through CWM.
Good luck!

Clean Install is required
Woops
Hi everyone!
Sorry for the late update.
So I attempted to follow the instructions outlined in the new rom I was attempting to install and it did nothing. Absolutely nothing. Phone continued to boot into Cyanogenmod 11 kitkat as if nothing had happened.
Now obviously I messed something up, but I needed a properly functioning phone for work asap so I bought an Xperia Z1 Compact just to be done with it. Over the hassle.
However it's been bothering me that I still have a basically pristine Xperia U minus it's software tantrum.
So, how do I go about restoring this phone to the factory Gingerbread and removing Cyanogenmod?
Baby steps please.

I'm by no means an expert.
I follow the guidelines here to flash my Xperia Sola from ICS to a Kitkat rom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-u/issues/getting-startedrooting-bootloader-t2100529
I'm not entirely sure but downgrading should be similar? Fastboot (via flashtool) and flash boot.img. Then in recovery mode, flash the stock Gingerbread rom?

AFAIK there's no 2.18.401.6, should be 401.3, maybe .4, don't know exactly, i got an O2 device and there it's 207.4 .
The date this post was last edited was 26th of march, so i'm not sure this does match with latest OTA release date. In addition, nobody having WWE phone (x.xx.401.x software) provided a system dump with latest OTA, so there's nothing the devs could work with.
I'm pretty sure about this, but feel free to correct me if you can prove my information wrong.

sense 6 for htc one X+ international
dear developer, can you develop any ROM with 4.2.2 based on sense5 with some special features of SENSE 6...
Features like transparent notification bar, lock screen styles, music player, dialer, coloured blinkfeed, etc...
we are bored of using sense 5.. We need some change...
Please take into consideration and give your time to develop a good rom.

stop spamming everywhere! flash the boot.img, wipe /system /cache and /data (without /media) before flashing the rom.

you need a newer verison of twrp, e.g. 2.8.1.0, to enable mtp., otherwise use adb sideload

should work if you did these steps, maybe wait a bit longer, first boot (especially Sense5 roms) may take a bit longer, shouldn't be more than 5-10minutes though.
