Hi Everybody! some weeks ago, I bought a S2, but it doesn't boot, it gets stuck at battery charging logo, and doesn't enter into recovery but I can get into download mode and flash in odin, I've flashed stock rom and doing some stuff I've read in forums, but still the same, it doesn't turn on without A/C or USB cable, just shows the battery logo and the ring and then reboots itself, i've been reading that it may be a NAND rw corruption, but i've followed all the steps to fix it and nothing happens, could someone help me? Sorry for my bad english.

After flashing stock rom with Odin are you able to go into recovery mode if yes then do Wipe data and wipe cache then try to Reboot.

Find Hopper8's 'Odin troubleshooting' thread & try the stuff in the thread (particularly flashing a 3 part firmware). If the NAND truly is corrupted, only fix is JTAG (fair chance it won't be possible though) or motherboard replacement. If I were in your situation (I.E faced with paying a fair amount of money to have your phone repaired), I'd be trying the stuff in Hopper's thread over and over/flashing as many stock roms as I could get my hands on

I got some problems with my gt i9100.. So i flashed the CF-Root-SGS2_XW_OJV_KF1-v4.0-CWM4 on my phone and then everything went wrong.. I tried everything there is but the only thing I can flash is kernels.. When I try to flash a firmware or a rom odin fails (Can't seem to write on NAND). Also I can't access recovery.. I just get the samsung logo with the triangle below. And now after 2 days of constant trying different methods im low on battery and can't access download mode and if I plug in the charger it keeps flashing an empty battery with a circle in it with a 1 min interval.. Can someone please provide me with some advice?
What exactly did you do? Or you really screwed up which is almost impossible or you just have had bad luck.
Did you try pulling the battery out, pressing the on button for a few seconds and then putting your battery back in? Sometimes it helps when you have charging problems.
So try and give us more information about everything that you did.

Tried that with the battery but it didn't help.. Ever since I flashed the kernel it wouldn't charge.. Jje there's nothing on this thread that could help me with the charging problem and besides that I can't access recovery and can't seem to find villain 1.1 anywhere..
i have a problem with my galaxy s2 exactly like this: got a wierd problem. My galaxy S2 refuses to shut down.
When I shut the phone down without a USB cable connected then the phone turns black and the 'menu and 'return' button lights up then the phone vibrates. at this stage before the buttons turns black and the phone was totally shut down. now instead the buttons are still lit after the vibration and then the phone starts up again.
With a USB plugged in after the vibration when shutting down I get to the screen where the battery indicating charging is shown, but as soon i remove the USB cable the phone starts.
The power button is not stuck.
It's not rooted: cleared the cache in 3e recovery. No change.
I fully charged my battery. No change
I drained my battery to 0%. No change
I tried another battery. No change.

WELL....
Can you people be more clearly on Ur Tips Please, Do i have to Update Bootloader or Bootloader will Automatically update after i flash a Full firmware via Odin or during update a frimware do i need to click a tick there writting "UPDATE BOOTLOADER" or not or let me know any Solution pleaseeeeeeeeeee . English is my 3rd Langue so Please try to explane with a Simply English Brothers and sister. I feel sucks No one can fix my Problem here in Kosovo.
If you are going to flash New firmware via Odin from intratech you will automatically get the right (older) bootloader that lets you clear the flash counter with the jig.
If you have already flashed KI3 or KI8 from somewhere else chances are you will have the new bootloader flashed on your phone.
If that is the case intratech has the older bootloader that you can download and flash via Odin without having to flash the full firmware again.
Read the 1st few posts in his thread carefully for the exact steps to follow.
Good luck.

Well i try Many of Roms to flash i try with older and newer Problem still there, i think i need to Change a Usb Port (Electronic Usb maybe i demage with a bad Charger or Who know). Is there any Idea where i can Buy&Purchase Galaxy s2 Electronic Parts
I has this same problem after flashing ki4. Would not shut off. Kept booting up every time I tried to switch off. After a bit of searching I found a fix got my phone. Just remove the battery for 30 seconds. Reinstall and try again. Might not work for you but won't cost anything to try.
Edit
Just read. You already tried another battery do this won't help you. Sorry.

Hi. There is my problem
4 days ago i get sgs2 after JITAG.
Now it's in boot loop. I tried almost everything.
So. It's like that :
- phone is in boot loop.
-can't access recovery
- can get to DL
- Odin flash every rom and kernel tried on v1.85 and v3.07. Always succeed. But nothing happens.
When i woke up s2 was hot and off. I Turn it on and battery percentage was 10% ( before sleep it was ~85%) . I plug it to AC.
That was first symptomps . Next tried to install game from market when it installed i tried to play but phone restarted then pop up window that inform me about updating apps ( it was 4 apps) and after update i can't do anything. Phone froze. I take out battery and put it on. Turn on s2 and from this point i have boot loop i can't go to recovery only dl works.
Before JITAG there was nand rw corruption. Can it be the same this time ? What u propose ?

Did you download the stock firmware from sammobile.com ? And after falshing rom via Odin go to recovery and do Wipe Data/ Factory Reset and Wipe Cache then Reboot.

Tried this. But still can't go to recovery mode.
So Wipe isn't possible for now.
Search for Hopper8's 'Odin troubleshooting' thread, there's a link to a 3 part firmware in that thread. Download the firmware (assuming you have an I9100; if you don't, do not download this firmware/flash it. You'll brick your phone if you do), flash it with Odin, which will wipe your phone. Hopefully the wipe will remove whatever remnants of what you had on the phone previously which are probably causing bootloop.
Edit - However, given the 'background' to this issue (the JTAG/etc), don't be surprised if you end up needing a motherboard replacement. Cross your fingers the 3 part firmware does the trick though.
Tried 3 part firmware. And still the same. DL but no recovery.
So all hope gone ? Only option for me is replacement or another JTAG ?
If it were me, I'd keep trying different single part firmwares and the 3 part firmware over & over. Given a JTAG didn't fix it the first time around, you'll probably find a JTAG won't work this time either. Motherboard replacement most likely scenario as per my PP.

Hello,
I think my S2 is bricked.
Yesterdaymorning when i pulled it of the charger it only displayed the samsung logo.
When i rebooted it, it would only stay on the same samsung logo.
Download mode was ok, Revovery mode also and i wiped the cache and put it back to factory settings.. after that it rebooted and it went black. When i was in recovery mode it said : Failed to mount system (or something like that).
I cant in any way get into recovery mode or download mode. I also tried a Usb Jig .. and that didnt work either.
What on earth could be the problem.
I rooted it once last year and tried a rom or two but after the JB update i went for the stock kernel and firmware.
Im kind of a noob in this and very stuck .
Thank's in advance!
Regards,
Martin
Read the whole post properly. Understand it. Follow it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/general/guide-t2345831
That guide isn't helping anyone who has a phone that won't boot/has no download mode or recovery.
Samsung service centre or local mobile repair shop for diagnosis.
What went wrong ? Nobody here can tell you that, electronics breaks sometimes; something on the motherboard has crapped itself. Most likely fix is motherboard replacement if you intend to keep the phone.
Try with an other battery. I got like almost same problem but I got it fixed by using an other battery.
Hi guys. I have seen and read through plenty of the same problems regarding the bootloop issue on the forum. I seem to be stuck somewhere different so I post this question. I hope someone can help.
I have a standard S3 I-9305 LTE in South Africa. Not rooted before or any mods. But somehow it started bootlooping a couple of weeks ago. I read and implemented the Recovery Mode- Cleared the cache and then rebooted, and it worked, plenty of times.
But now it has gone into a solid bootloop and i cannot access recovery mode. So read up about Download mode and installed Odin, Kies and the Cf Root file on my PC.
Now when I enter Download mode on the phone, and continue( press Volume Up) after the warning, the device restarts again. This I have done a hundred times and each time removing battery and waiting a couple of minutes. So essentially I cannot get Download mode to function but I do have access to it.
So this I know, this is a software , possible ROM problem, NOT hardware as the device worked perfectly after bootloop issue started.
I did the latest Firmware Upgrade to Android 4.2( i think, i r noob in this) yesterday. This was done on the phone itself under About-check-firmware. The Phone worked fine afterwards but then went into this never ending tormenting bootloop without yielding.
I live far from a proper service centre and I need my phone for work, thus very urgent.
I also have checked if the power button is stuck but it is not.
I am prepared to root the device and install any other ROM, Flash anything that can get me back on.
Any advice please?
Thanks in advance

Sounds like the emmc chip is corrupt or damaged, you may require a new motherboard.
Try plugging your phone into pc before you access download mode, remove the battery before you press volume up.

Hi Boom,
I have seen you have diligently answered many queries, please to be cautious saying it is a motherboard or hardware issue, it makes peoples heart sink before trying other avenues first. But don't get me wrong, the fact that you took the time to answer me makes you my hero. :good: And thanks.
I will try the other option you gave as I know the phone is fine the answer is just a few tries away.
