[HELP] Volume alert issue - Sony Xperia Z Ultra

Please help me with my sound level alert problem.
Condition: volume won't go above 60% or so with headset and loudspeakers (jack).
I'm on 532 FW with C6802, rooted and relocked BL. Tried to update to 257 but failed.
I'm beginning to think there is a problem with my soundlevelalert.apk or my lib/libsoundprotection.so. All the more so because both are missing from my system folder.
A couple of week ago I tried to flash CWM and CM10.2 but managed to come back from soft brick to stock after 9 hours. Maybe I frecked up something with incompatible kernel and temporary CWM (both were in the process).
So main problem is volume cap, secondary problem is OTA failure to 257 with relocked BL.

[RESOLVED] Phone will automatically power off and begin reboot cycle if left idle

Hi XDA-Devs,
I recently upgraded my HTC EVO 3D to Android 4.3 via CM 10.2 from Android 4.0.3 KingCobra3D-ICS-1.5. Everything upgraded smoothly except that when I let my phone idle for ~5min while unplugged, it will begin a perpetual reboot cycle until I stop letting it idle - it just turns on and off endlessly. As long as it's doing something it won't reboot (e.g., playing music with the screen off). Any ideas of what's wrong, or how to resolve this problem?
Here are the steps I took:
Relocked phone
Restored stock ROM and kernel using RUU (revolutionary wouldn't work with an ICS ROM already installed - had to downgrade to GB)
Used Revolutionary to change phone to S-OFF
Flashed Superuser
Flashed CM 10.2 ROM
Flashed 4.3 GAAPS
Created backup
Minor other problems
1) My Contact card cannot be linked with the Google Contact I've created for myself. I had it set that way on 4.0.3. How can I fix that?
2) Holding Power + Home button does not let me screenshot any more. How do I fix that?

[Q] Klu LT7035-j NO SOUND rooted

OK lost sound about a WK ago after a factory reset, have got it rooted now and I am still on stock rom. A total stock ROM would be nice; however, any knowledge of how the sound on android can be fixed would be much appreciated. Also, I get a popping sound while typing even when turned all the way down; although, it is silent when mute.

In an attempt to fix the sound I have ran into an issue. RKbatch tool error download firmware fail at 97% happens every time. Used plenty different drivers and tools, event the ones with the firmware. Tab is broke with no os or recovery, can get it to show on device manager; however, can not get firmware downloaded, for the following problem.

[Q] Z2 Home and Recent Apps Keys laggy

hi i got a z2 this week and everything works fine just this one annoying issue. The home and recent apps on screen keys are laggy. Sometimes they work good, most times they lag. The back key is fine.
The phone shipped with 4.4.2 .314 and had the issue right out the box. I updated to 4.4.4 the same night and no change. I downgraded back to 4.4.2 and same issue. Did factory resets etc.
Is there any official word on what is causing this? I live in the Caribbean so sending this to a repair centre is out of the question. Just hoping it's a software issue that can be fixed.
Any help?
Repair via sony PC companion
I found the 4.4.4 update can bug a tiny bit and will slow down heavily, repairing should fix this
if i repair via pcc will i stay with 4.4.2?
i dont want it to update to 4.4.4
Downgrade via flashtool buddy then this problem will be solved
i already downgraded using flashtool.
i was on 4.4.4 and downgraded to 4.4.2. The issue is there on both firmwares.
should i try another version of 4.4.2? if yes, which build number??
okay so here's what i did
initially when i first got the phone it had 4.4.2 .317
i had done the ota update to 4.4.4 and i got all the
popular bugs; camera lag, low notification tones, call problems etc
downgraded bk to 4.4.2, keep in mind the lag has been here thru all this, no matter the firmware
so today i thought id try doing the software repair via pcc. This updated the phone again to 4.4.4. Just this time none of the previous bugs are there and i am happy to report the home key lag is completely gone. The recent apps key had a verrryy tiny lag sometimes but nothing as noticeable as to how it was.
After this i am convinced it is a software issue and hopefully another update in the future would fix it completely. But for now im satisfied.

Xperia Z2 stuck in bootloop with generic android / cyanogen runs without problems..

Hi, I have a strange problem with my Xerpia Z2..
After flashing a cyanogen mod to test it out.. it`s not possible for me to get a working generic Android system anymore.
The smartphone stuck in a caint of "bootloop" or, if it start android at last, it reboots after a short while automaticly.
The bootloop is like this:
Screen: Shows 10 sec. sony-logo -> than 2 sec. black screen -> than 5 sec. sony-logo -> than it starts from beginning..
The bootloop-lenght varied until it starts finally into android.. sometime it doesn`t come to that point, and it reboots for a very long period (until I get annoyed and shut it down)
I have trying the following things to solve that issue:
- Flashing several stockroms wirh flashtool (D6503_17.1.2.A.0.314_Generic DE.ftf / D6503_23.0.1.A.0.167_Customized DE.ftf)
- trying to reset the hole phone with the xperia "emma" tool
- trying to reset the hole phone with the pc companion software
.. in my opinion, the problem could be find in the bootloader/recovery.. I don`t think it`s a hardware issue, because cyanogen mod is still runs without problems. Maybe some cyanogen remains are still leftover in the bootloader, that don`t work with generic android versions.. that`s what I can imagine. (but i`m not an expert
I don`t get why flashing the phone doesn`t solve the issue., it almost seems that the flash process don`t touch the bootloader, to overwrite it with stock parameters (?) or does not fix that area which is responsible for that issue..
Phone status at this time:
Not root - not unlocked - no backup of TA - DRM Keys (The guy that I bought that phone from, saddly doesn`t do a backup /
Before you flash the stock rom, are you clearing the Dalvik cache?
Whenever I've been through instructions on flashing roms, that always seems to be a step, but I didn't see you mention doing that before flashing.

Random Android Crashes on stock firmware 23.5.A.1.291

Hi everyone.
I am writing for some help from the community. I own a a Z2, 16 GB D6503 which is now running stock US international filmware 23.5.A.1.291. I've had several random crashes where the cellphone is unable to react from. When this happens the last thing on the screen freezes and I have to forcefully turn it off using power button and up volume shortcut since it does not react to any touch.
It appears that happens randomly. I haven't identified what is triggering the crash (and is not very frequent but as very nnoying). Finally, I made a fresh install using flash tool to see if I could solve this issue but I had not much success. The device is not rooted and boot loader not unlocked.
I don't know what to do now.
Any suggestions?
i have on my phone filmware 23.5.A.1.291 over one year
and it newer chrashes or i had those probleme .
you can flash with flashtool the firmware new And if you still have such problems
Something is broken on your phone
