Heylo. I have many Rss feeds linked up to blink feed (on custom rom with sense 5.5) and I am wondering if the feeds could be backed up. I am thinking of switching roms and I want to be able to have my feeds. Right now I use GoBackup to back up my stuff when I flash different roms so I wondering if there is a way to back it up. Maybe through my HTC account? Thanks for all responses.

So I just finished installing gingerblur and I was wondering if the was a way to get the motoblur widget back that Combines all your feeds. Or an app to replace it. Thanks

Or any app that can combine all my social stuff or a way to make it easy to keep up with my feeds so I don't miss stuff

So i really got this flashing addict now and I already use titanium backup to restore my apps, but how can I restore my sms?
PS: last time I used myphoneexplorer but that was a bit too complicated. And after 1 day my sms are back without even using any app :O Does Google store 'em somewhere and how can I change this settings?

Sms backup and restore from the market.
As for them showing up on their own, that's a htcsence feature.
Good to know. Any way to change the settings of this sync as it takes a couple hours? Also I hope I will not get any double sms when using sms backup and sense. But I'm gonna go ahead and try it now, that's the best method

If you restore with the app, your sense account won't duplicate them. Is easier and faster with the app because it usually takes time for your sense account to sync them. I don't trust htcsence to work properly each time I flash either as their server seems to be down on a regular basis.
One other reason to use the application is when you are using a non sense rom you won't be able to use htcsense.
Will you be using the gmail app or the stock email app?
The stock app has that cool 2 paned viewing thing, (inbox on one side, emails on the other) but the gmail app was made for gmail. I was just wondering what you guys prefer.

I myself don't like using multiple apps to access all my mail accounts. If I can get away with adding all my accounts to a single mail client then that's the route I'm taking regardless of the various features and benefits the individual apps themselves might have. I like to keep things simple.
Gmail app.
Very good label support
I use both!

I'm with you. I like everything in a nice, neat package.
I use the GMAIL App, to keep things simple and not all over the place.
I have always used the Gmail app. I have all my emails come into one place instead of trying to look through different apps for email. Centralized and consistent. Plus I love the labeling feature.
Gmail app is trash. I don't understand how come doesn't offer zooming and icon or widget notification. Stock does. I guess is another dumb apple patent conflict crap.

Is there a way to only get notified of mail in your priority inbox. The Gmail app system it supports this, but it doesn't. There are almost no settings at all! You used to be able to set a custom notification tone, too...:banghead:

Does the facebook app still do that annoying authenticating thing once a day on sense 3.6 roms?

Also does maps still cause a reboot on older firmware on sense 3.6?

Maps works on global firmware, but not anything older.

Facebook v1.8.4 works fine

This is incorrect. I have the OTA (3.14 or whatever it was) and Maps works fine now. No reboots.
EDIT: Speaking of which is 4.01/4.02 an actual OTA? I never got it.

Maybe it was fixed on Google's end.
I just know that when they first updated it with the new icon, it didn't work on older firmwares.

Ya it appears to be fixed on Google's end. Although I'm still on the leak before the ota so we shall see

Current Google Maps works on all GB & ICS ROMs on the Rezound with no issues, and has since version 6.11.1 (current is 6.12.0 I believe). Google fixed it a while back.
The Facebook authentication issues is tricky, it's not really a Facebook app thing, more of how the FB app and Facebook for HTC Sense work together. The key is to only sync stuff from one service, if you do both you will have issues. Best thing to do is remove all apps and updates for Facebook, delete all Facebook accounts, and add the Facebook account back in with no Facebook app loaded (using FB for HTC Sense), then install the latest FB app and when it asks about importing contacts or setting up sync make sure NOT to do it. Since I did it this way everything is in sync and I have not had a single auth issue.
The other way around it is delete all FB apps and accounts, then go to Facebook for HTC Sense and clear data, then disable FB for HTC Sense, reboot and add in the Facebook app and then the account... but it seems to me you do not get Calendar or Live Feed synchronization of data this way (effects widgets and calendar events).
My office is moving towards device management, so if a device is rooted, it can't connect and access my office emails, calendar and contacts.
Question, can I have stock and custom Rom, with stock not rooted and custom Rom rooted?
Alternatively, have custom Rom and undo root.
In the worst case, I can forget about accessing my office exchange but all my contacts are on it, so I need to keep double copies of contacts in office exchange and gmail, which is really a pain. Thanks.
If anyone know a solution to this, please drop me an answer. Thanks.
