Is there a way to switch the sd card so it reads my external sd card as my internal? Im running jellybeans and its built in, was wondering if liquidsmooth has this option or work around.

Guys, since i installed the jelly bean leak xxdli1 my external sd card didn't allow me to write anything on it anymore. The strange is that it works fine when i connect it to an adaptor and stick it on my pc.
I was wondering if there is a way to set the permisson for the external sd to r/w...maybe using the terminal.
Any clues ?
Thanks

I' ve been searching about it and it seems that a format on windows would solve the problem. I can' t do it until tusday 'cause i'm traveling. Try there and let me know if it works.

Why would you mess with that? There's a script that swaps the internal with the external sd card. Beans rom gives you the option to swap cards during installation.

I no. I did that already with a 64 ultra card. But if possible why not? 128 gb total would be awsome.

Also internal memory is much faster than a sd card. In read and write.

This. Swapping out internal memory with an SD Card is not the same as going from a 16GB internal chip to a 64GB internal chip. Sure you'll have all that extra space for your apps but man is it going to be slow.

Normally I would agree with this, but it is no longer true. Reading is just as faster or faster on an external, and writing is getting close.
I have run several tests, and my sdxc card reads as fast as the internal storage (32MB/s). As for writing, it comes close, but isn't as reliable in constant performance (12MB/s). NAND writes at 15MB/s reliably.
A more expensive card will probably outperform the internal NAND.
Have had my GS2 for just over a year now and it's started to develop a problem whereby the external sd card keeps unmounting (it's a 32Gb sandisk).
I've tried the latest omega ROM and neatrom but the issue still persists.
Is this a known issue or any clue as to why this could have just started happening?

Format the SD card as it's probably that or put another one in and test that.

Permissions correct but cant write or delete anything and also unable to format. The card data is still all accessible, but can't be modified. It was fine until I installed safe strap and Hyperdrive ROM. Not sure if its related. I don't want to send card to SanDisk for replacement BC it has a lot of personal data on it. Any help here would be great.

Anyone who is reading this. SanDisk is excellent at returning items that have been purchased within the last 12 months. I sent the card off and a replacement is on the way.
