I9300 CyanogenMod BT issues - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey everyone!
I'm having a really anoying BT issue with my i9300 on any cm rom(even 10.1.3 stable).
I can pair my device with my car normally, make a first call. On the second call all I can here are pops and clicks. After reboot works again for one more call.
When using a sammy rom there are no problems.
Google came up with a few posts about the same problem but no fix for it.
I found one post here on xda about audio streaming but the fix did not help.
Tried googy-max kernel on cm 10.2 but still no difference.
Can someone please help?
I am currently running temasek's cm 11 preview but don't mind changing to a different cm version.
Thanks!!!

[Q] CM10. Phone rings once

Hi,
I installed last CM10 nightly after full wipe. I noticed that the phone rings once (whatever ringtone I choose). This cause me to not answer because I do not hear it...
Is there a way to fix it?
Thanks
I had the same problem too bro, think it's something to do with the ROM. What ROM are you running?

I just figured this out through some Google searching.

Cyanogenmod is really awesome, just keep in mind that it has issues for the i9300, specially in the latest nightlys, as for me I love CM but I can't stand the audio issues with headphones, losing sound when stopping the internal mic (eg. music + calls, audio recording, video recording = no go), graphics glitches in long hovering lists, and the latest that for some reason when using headphones with build-in mic make the phone record the internal sound at the same time as the mic, eg. music + video recording = no go. As the usual ones, no WiFi tether, poor camera performance, etc. And also note that all of this issues are due to samsung not being completely open with his sources, thus the open community has to see how to compensate those parts...
So at the end, if you love android, you'll love CyanogenMod, it just needs to be ironed from some of the most infamous issues.:fingers-crossed:
don't decide until you experience it. good luck

CM 10.1.3 Rc2 wake up issue.

I'm running Cyanogen Mod 10.1.3 Rc2 on my VZW GS4. I am having a problem where if I touch my screen while it's of it will wake it up. I don't want to update to 10.2 because then I can no longer use Google Wallet. Thank you in advance.
Edit: Of course as soon as I post this it stops. I think it's Sensory.

You should mention on which rom you are .
You can check this by yourself by flashing any 4.1.2 stock custom rom if this works in that then definitely it was bug in 4.3 rom.
planning to do the same btw I tried on latest builds of CM , slim, carbon and omni with same result ... thanks for your reply..

CM 11 KitKat- some problems found and fixed + questions

Errors I resolved
- Swiping text input
- Partial root to full root (CM 11 by itself did not allow me to use Nandroid Manager because of this)
What I did fixed both
1. Installed CWM Superuser (Play Store)
2. Allowed Superuser app to update in recovery mode-- stayed in recovery
3. Advance options --> reboot to recovery
4. This prompted CWM recovery to fix root. Selected yes
5. Rebooted and these problems went away.
Not exactly sure how swipe input was fixed by this but I'm happy. Any ideas?
I must say deep sleep is very good, and a bit better than CM 10.2.
One thing i missed from CM 10.2 is the setting to turn off hardware button back lights. My
guess why its not in CM 11 is because development just started. So instead I found the app:
Night Mode which does the same thing plus dims the brightness even more.----> good battery saver
If this app can do it, i think the feature in CM 10.2 should still be able to work in CM 11.
This brings me to another question. Is there something i can tweak two permanently disable the hard-
ware button back lights?

There's no thing yet to turn off the lights yet, just give cm some time so they can get all their things together.

Rom?
What rom did you use to install 4.4? I have been looking a long time for one.
I might suggest waiting before installing a 4.4 rom, unless you want to beta test.

I would be glad to beta test, where do I find the development?

This is kitkat CM 11 the most recent development for ypg1 aka galaxy player 4.4
i went back to modified stock REDD because of some the issues i had with CM 11. Don't get me wrong cm 11 has quite a bit of features REDD doesn't have but it's a bit too unstable for me.

IMO CM10.1 is better than REDD in every way especially in battery life and best of all no bugs lol

hmm that sounds good. I'll have to check it out. I used to have CM 10.2. one thing I have experienced with with 10.2 and above is there are no Internet alerts when the screens off like Google voice. Is 10.1 the same as these?

nvm mind; I figured my problem out. Google voice was set to receive notifications through the built in phone sms app instead of the google voice app. I have seen the light and am using 10.2. Btw do you think CM 10.1 is a better as dedicated music player (or simple tasks) rom than other roms?

I like CM10.1 as a dedicated music player because it just works lol. Battery life is the best I've seen when just listening to music.
