Audio issues when connecting to car via BT - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've been running Slim 4.3 build2 for a few weeks now, and when connecting via BT to my car audio system, sometimes when I make or receive calls the sound is distorted or totally covered by noise.
This is usually followed up by DSP manager FC.
I'm using Googy kernel 1.7.7
Any suggestions how to fix this issue ?

No one has any BT issues with non stock 4.3 based roms ?

Bluetooth in-call audio issue

Hi all,
I have an issue with bluetooth audio while in a call. The audio quality is so bad, even with a lot of imagination I can't make up what the other one is sating. Normal bluetooth audio (like touchsounds or media) is fine.
This problem doesn't occur on the stock rom, but only on the custom (CM10-based) roms I tried.
I've tried ParanoidAndroid 2.51 and AOKP milestone 1.
I've got the same issue with both my bluetooth headset and carkit.
I also tried different radio's, currently I'm on I9300CEDLI1.
It doesn't seem to be a kernel issue ether. Currently I'm running stock JB with Siyah kernel 1.7rc1 without any problems. (I tried PA en AOKP with this same kernel)
I would appreciate it very much if someone could point me in the right direction.
Regards,
Roel

[Q] Call sound output issue Bluetooth on Galaxy S3 on CM10.1 4.2.2.

Hi Folks
Hope someone has an advice or opinion for a problem i have and did not find a solution searching through the forums. The 4.2.2 Bluetooth sound quality is no issue and also no distractions when using with my Parrot Asteroid in my car.
My problem is that when I am finished driving and have an active conversation running and I switch back to device speaker (internal or external does not matter!!!), the sound never comes back to the speakers but the microphone is switching properly to the device's mike iso the BT system. If I switch back to Bluetooth I get the sound back to the speakers of the car.
Same symptom on all the 3 4.2 ROMs I loaded so far (currently running on Dragon's Fusion ROM).
Thanks for any help!
I have exactly the same problem and by far no solution.

[Q] Blutooth issue in all 4.2.x and above ROMs

Hi, noticed with ALL AOSP / AOKP ROM's 4.2 and above that Bluetooth has an issue, bothering everyday use and still not fixed. Once you use BT car hands free and you want to to take the call back on the handset (internal or external speaker does not make any difference) the sound never comes back to the phone. Tried at least 3 different CM10 and above based ROM's, all has this problem. Anyone can get it fixed? For everyday use this is a real issue, cannot be that you cannot leave your car until you finished the call /or need to close the call and call again with BT off. Not realistic during a daily use. Thanks for any comments
i am having the same problem.

I was very happy with LiquidSmooth 2.8, so I decided to upgrade to 2.9.
Everything works very well, except for bluetooth.
Symptoms:
- A2DP streaming to my car stereo (JVC x250BT) works
- Bluetooth calls with car stereo result in either no or horrible sound
- Bluetooth calls with my (Parrot ck3100) carkit work sometimes on the first call after a reboot (usually fails)
- Bluetooth calls with a JabraBT215 headset also fail
- All the above has been tested with the device being the only registered (and therefore connected) device.
-- sometimes, I can hear the sound rapidly switching between the handset and the bluetooth device.
Occasionally, I also got no incoming sound during calls with no Bluetooth device connected.
Sometimes, connecting a wired headset would help.
I tried to highlight the point few months ago already on a development forum but I am too junior to be listen to... Even i strongly believe this is a real bug gating real everyday usage if you sometime want to use your phone as a phone..

[Q] Bluetooth phone audio completely silent

I have a Bell Samsung Galaxy S2 on which I installed Cyanogenmod 10.1.3. Since doing so the Bluetooth phone audio doesn't work - I cannot be heard on the other end of the call or hear the person talking. In trying to resolve this I tried the following:
1. Installed Dorimanx kernel 9.41
2. Wipe and install RootBox 4.2
3. Wipe and install AOKP Milestone 2
4. Wipe and reinstall Cyanogenmod 10.1.3 and try service mode menus for audio (could not access) and the Volume+ app to boost Bluetooth audio levels (no effect on phone audio).
I have, of course, checked my Bluetooth settings section to ensure that Phone audio is enabled for my Bluetooth headset.
I have tested using 2 different Bluetooth headsets (which both worked using the stock Samsung firmware): Plantronics BackBeat and BlackBerry VM-605 speakerphone.
Am I doomed to revert back to my stock ROM to regain Bluetooth functionality or is there some way I could get this to work once again?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Cm/AOKP and Bluetooth don't mix well. If it that big a deal try a custom stock firmware.

[Q] audio input - mic routing problems

Hi all, I've inherited a used Evo3D GSM phone which works very well except for one important issue. The Mic seems to be failing.
I'm not completely sure if this is a hardware problem or just routing.
Strangely enough, with ICS based Roms, the phone is using the earpiece (?!) as microphone; when I speak with my mouth near the earpiece sound is crisp clear on the other side but when I speak to the Mic it sounds muffled (because in fact sound input seems to be set to the earpiece and the mic is not active).
When I switch to VoIP calls using CsipSimple, the person on the other end cannot hear my voice. Only when I go into CsipSimple settings and change "Audio mode for SIP calls" from IN_Communication to IN_Call, the phone works as in a regular call (with earpiece as input, mic dead).
With other, JB and KK based roms, I've had different results; CsipSimple always crashes, no matter what settings I use and phone calls audio are always broken (no input).
Has anyone had similar issues? Can u use CsipSimple without problems on JB and KK based Roms?
