I have heard that Kitkat is specially made (stipped down) for low level tablets, which have about 512 MB. I want to know anybody is working on Kitkat firmware for G-tablet. I don't see it in firmware section. If you have seen a working ROM, please let me know.
Thanks in Advance.
Subhantech
I don't think anyone is working on anything for g-tab these days. Mine is collecting dust in my dead tab crypt.
I highly doubt we'll ever see anything else for thus device. The last update on any of the ROMs was months ago.
Mine has been in use as a very expensive alarm clock for a couple of years now. Its basically useless for anything else.

I ran some of the 4.x based roms for a while but they would get totally unresponsive quite often. So I've been running the latest vegantab 7.x with nomedia files everywhere. Acceptable but it might be nice to have something like 4.4 running.
Bnolsen I'm with you tried a few 4.x and keep going back to Vegan-tab. Solid running rom, waiting for 4.4 kitkat. I'm thinking that has promise.

wow, just checked out the teaser for eclipse... with this type of work still happening I wouldn't be surprised at all now if we see a 4.4 release
I upgraded from stock kernal/ROM to kitkat on my samsung player 4.0 (1ghz,.5gb) yesterday and it makes a huge difference. Its still early so a few bugs to be worked out but overall very solid. I would be great to see a version for gtab.

Very promising, can't wait to try an AOSP build on this monster phone

As long as there is something going on I'm relatively content.
We have ICS and it runs fast as any JB phone. I'm through and through content to wait for now.
In my humble opinion, JB is over-rated. I have a Nexus 7 running JB 4.2.1 (the latest). Except for the screen size, I see no upsides to the JB running Nexus 7, compared to ICS on my LGOG. Additionally, if you check the N7 forum here, you will see many, many users frustrated with the laggy performance brought on by OTA updates to 4.2.1.

JB is awesome. You can put Google now on ICS but it doesn't work nearly as well as it does on JB. Also, the new quick settings are much nicer. I'm using a rom that lets you customized each one on my gnex.

Not only that we're not going to be running Google released jb, it's going to be made by the cm team which means it'll have subtle tweaks here and there that Google didn't think of

Yeah I flashed CM 10.1 on my Captivate last night and quick settings is so awesome. If you have no active notifications, when you swipe down it automatically shows all your quick settings/toggles. I love that you can use the full notification drawer now too. It's gonna be great on the LGOG.
That's awesome. The only thing I'm going to miss is the aspect ratio correction that the stock rom has.

i had the same issues with rom. my suggestion is to use blackstar rom XI. I only say that because i have tried just about every rom on this site for the note and Blackstar has surpassed them all. dont forget to flash everything first. at least check it out. he has a few roms on there still but the latest is the best (I think) Just scroll down a bit and you will see the list. good luck and hope you find a good ROM

I am using CyanogenMod's cm-10.2-20130814-NIGHTLY-quincyatt on my Note and I am wondering why it was the only 10.2 nightly offered? There seems to be continued development and releases of the 10.1 series of ROM's. What have I missed here? I runs pretty good on my phone I have some issues with the screen coming on from sleeping or just being turned off (the screen not the phone) and some occasional random reboots. I am excited to see the 10.2 line progress but I guess I'm just confused as to why there was only one nightly released and the 10.1's continue. Anyone have any thoughts or insight? Thanks.

I'm using the above mentioned ROM. I have used CyanogenMod since the 7.0 releases and it always seemed like when they released a new version nightly, the only progressed with the new version for nightly release. The stable release is a different story. I actually read this on their forum just yesterday I think.

I have been curious about that too. Never seen that before out of CM, however, I have a Nexus 7 3G, and there is no 4.3 CM for it either, so don't feel left out.
I think nightly roms are experimental where they update an issue or a problem gets fix after they get a log cat...they are not official as of yet.I think that's what they mean by nightly...if u try the new pacman 4.3 that one says OFFICIAL..im a tmo user so I can't flash it yet...hopefully a dev can get us a 4.3 official rom on my end.... Hope what I wrote helps...

I'm running the 10.2 nightly from 8/14 as well, and have been pretty happy with it (HUGE thanks to the developers, so much better than the crap stock ROM I was running, which Samsung/AT&T only updated once over a year ago). This one is 4.3, which is very nice, and pretty much the same as the CM 10.2 (JB 4.3) I'm running on my ASUS TF700T tablet. But, I was also curious about if/when any new nightlies might be released in this 10.2 line. I'm not complaining at all, just curious, since there are a few buggy things (mainly what was mentioned by the OP, often doesn't wake up on first try, and some random reboots).
They said this device is no longer supported for now

Ok, that makes sense, it is a pretty old device. I'm glad they put out the 10.2 build first though, since it is working pretty well with the exception of a few minor issues (at least for me).

No.
A nightly can be anything from bug fixes to adding in a completely new feature to try. Once those get worked out it moves up the release stability chain.
Official means whatever build, nightly, release candidate, stable release was compiled by a member of the dev team.
Unofficial is someone taking their (whatever Rom dev team it may be) git source and compiling a build themselves.

Thanks. I guess I wanted to stick to what I could get "officially" via the CM site, but maybe I'll check these out.
That's understandable.
The builds are identical though using the same github source that the cm build servers do.
You can set it up yourself and build too. The instructions are in the cm wiki for quincyatt.

Halo has like changed how I use my phone. I can't live without it since i first flashed paranoid android on my gnex. I have been daily driving paranoid android 4.3 for near a month now and it's amazing. If you like aosp Roms that's the way to go IMO. Pacman is another good option. For tw id recommend jelly beans or the new Jedi x. If I were you I'd just flash around like I did until you find something that fits your needs. For me its paranoid android with devil kernel

lol you knuckleheads...... On paranoid 4.3 . Enjoying halo big time. Thinking about switching to an older version so I can enjoy something that's more complete. It's brilliant though. Guys are really doing a great job. At times the PIE hidden nav bar gets in the way of my launcher buttons, but i made it smaller and it seemed to help a big.. still in the way at times... I love the PIE full screen mode...
