Hi !
I'm trying to go back to full stock and I just want to make sure I'm not making a mistake
According to this post :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41977487
I can either download the MDK or the ME7 or the MI1
I have currently a custom ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41977487
with the ME7 baseband (radio)
which one should I flash under ODIN ? (MDK, ME7 or MI1)
Thanks for your help !

Your phone appears to have the MDK bootloader, so you should flash a MDK factory image. Don't ruin it by installing later releases.

You can't flash AOSP roms on MK2/Safestrap, only TW (TouchWiz) based roms matching your current stock version (4.3).
thanks Oishi,
Can I flash back to an older stock rom that is not safestrap?

No, once you're on Stock MK2 you're locked to MK2 and have no other options than safestrap.

Here is a somewhat current list of compatible SS Roms
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2630040
Also check page 1 in the Android Development section; There are a few new ones that look tempting such as BajaRom for TW
Check out Eclipse 3.0 for an AOSP feel with TW compatibility.

No can do. You can't restore the MJ7 bootloader, recovery, or kernel once your bootloader is past MJ7/MK2.

Huh?
Quote the OP: "Can i downgrade from 4.4.2 nc5 to 4.3 mj7 using nandroid backup?" No, no matter how chilled you are.
It doesn't matter HOW you got to NC5, if you have the NC5 bootloader you can't downgrade. If you have a NC5 baseband but a MK2 bootloader, yes, you can restore a nandroid from MK2.
Sorry, my clairvoyance skills are limited this week.

Hehe thats what I wanted to know .... thanx I didnt updated the bootloader ....
Sorry that I haven't been keeping up with the latest developments in bootloader unlocks, roots, recoveries, etc.
I'm on stock rooted deodexed 4.1.2 with unlocked bootloader and a probably now ancient TWRP. What is the best way for me to get to stock rooted deodexed 4.4.2? I don't see any guides for this sort of thing here. Thanks in advance.

i just received my phone from getting sboot downgrade at mobiletech videos... it was on 4.1.2 also. download the twrp manager app in playstore. update to 2.8.1 ( i think thats the recommended one for some AOSP roms) flash the new version. reboot. download whatever 4.4.2 rom. make sure its rooted and knox is removed. move to sd card. boot to recovery & install. if you have wifi issues you'll need to flash MJ9 firmware. and firmware only. or you'll lock your bootloader. some say you can flash via recovery but odin is what most recommend. i went from 4.1.2 to 5.0.1 w/o having to do the firmware update and i dont have any radio or wifi issues. good luck

There is no way at this time (and may never be) to install a custom recovery whether it is CWM or TWRP on bootloaders newer than MDK. You can root these phones but that's about it. Look into running safestrap if you want to run a custom rom (TW based only).

No, however there is SafeStrap. This would be your best bet for custom roms for the time being, granted they must be compatible. They are still working on SS so keep an eye one it as they are trying to make it so you can flash any rom.
Does anyone have a download link to a I545VRUFNG6 build? I'm trying to reset my old GS4 to stock from Safestrap. I'm looking for a .tar file that I can flash via Odin.
I was running a 4.4.2 ROM prior.
