then you should try usb jig to enter download mode.
My guess is that you have rooted with a tool not for the I9300 .
MtkDroidtools l;ink says MediaTek Android Smartphone
In which case you may have blown the digitizer chip .
Do you have I9300 ?? or this other non Samsung phone ??
this was the I9300. and it worked without a problem after the root. it died after my bro messed it up. and ill look into a usb jig then.. that is gonna take a while i suppose. thnx for tha help.. :good:
Root using Mtkdroidtools??? Are u kidding me..what phone do u use i9300 or 19300

Hey!
If the UNBRICK(I mean this:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13643975&postcount=1) and USB jig not working, from xda, then you probably take it to REPAIR. Sorry for you phone!
CHEERS!
My phone was playing up recently thinking it was charging when it wasn't plugged in. Then one night I tried plugging it and and bang, ripped all the contacts off the inside of the micro USB.
Phone continued to work until the battery died. Now the phone wont turn on with a fresh battery... Any advice as to why? Or at least what I can do. I was running cm9 so I guess that counts out warranty?
Thanks

Can you get to download mode? Or is it completely dead?

Greetings,
I'm having a similar issue - I was trying to root my wife's Samsung Galaxy SII GT-I9100G and now all I see is a yellow triangle w/ an exclamation mark...
Odin 3v1.85 (Android+SLP) does not recognize the device.
Neither can I boot to download mode or recovery mode.
I think I'm in deep trouble...
Any guidance is greatly appreciated,
Bermuda

Check your model number on the label under the battery. What is it?

If you can see an exclamation mark it means your phone is still alive.
Run odin 1.85 >>> boot your phone >> then connect it to your PC odin should recognize it wait for the com port to turn yellow.
Flash another firmware ur done.

You have to put it in download mode before you plug it in to the computer to be able to flash firmware through odin

Not necesarry i've soft bricked my phone before so I know as I did the same
Not necessarily. The NAND can still be stuffed/unfixable by the user & still boot to a warning triangle.
No download mode, no boot & no connectivity b/w phone & PC = stuffed phone & return to service centre or JTAG.

Good Morning - the model number is: GT-I9100G
Have u tried flashing from the boot screen?

Do you have a USB JIG that you could use to try force your phone into download mode? If not, you can either make one (guide found on XDA), or else buy one off eBay for like £2. It's worth a shot.

Try this.
And in the future make sure anything you flash to that particular phone is meant for the i9100G, not the i9100.
Edit to add: if you can't get to download mode with the button combination, you'll of course need a jig as themadba suggests.

try pressing volume down+home+power simultaneously an wait for some seconds......... if nothing happens, it means ur phone is bricked and u will have to go to service center to get it repaired
forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/archive/t-1448069.html
That should help..
Mail in if you have any trouble.. Thats the most robust phone ever.. Will be back up and running in no time.

If it doesn't charge it's a brick.!
Try getting into download mode with a USB jig. If that fails then the samsung service center is your only option.

Remove your battery annd connect your note to pc goto download mode by pressing home power and vol down buttons a screen will appear then press vol up you will be in download mode flash your stock rom through odin
P.S you have to install samsung usb drivers or kies and if kies is already installed then disable that else it will conflict with odin
