[Q] Kernels for S3 L710? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, change the rom recently of my S3 Sprint (L710) to JellyBam RC2, but now I want to change the kernel, but I not find for my model, especially Googy wanted to use, but only this for l9300.
I could recommend some Kernels compatible with the L710, please?

Help with Flashed ROM [Wanamlite v10.6]

Hi to all,
Recently rooted my stock SGS2 i9000, and flashed it with the above rom.
Couple of noob questions though.
How to access the rom's settings?
ie, i dont want the battery percentage icon showing?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thxs.
Hi, that rom is based on the stock samsung firmware, it doesn't really have many tweakable options like that, go with a AOKP rom if you want a load of options to tweak and play with.

Thxs for the quick reply.
Do you have any favourite roms that would suit my needs (tweakable).
thxs.
If you have the i9000 instead of the i9100, best to check out their section on xda. Not a good idea to flash i9100 roms on the i9000.

[Q] Speedmod compatible ROMs?

Hi
Can anyone tell me please which ICS ROMs work with the Speedmod Kernel? The Q&A page only touches on it by saying generally which ones and which don't but I'd like something more specific/tried and tested.
I'm currently on CheckROM v6 so know about that one (which is gingerbread based anyway but I'm looking for ICS because their v7 is taking a while to be released)
Thanks

what is difference between "galaxys2" and "i9100 intl". on cyanogenmod site? help?
Because i dont get iit because you have in the list on github 'galaxy s2' (that where you go when you look in devices and click on galaxy s2 you go to github but it only goes to cm9)
And i look in the list on the left i see 'i9100' that also a galaxy s2 so i look it says international version and has cm10. So what is that i dont get it? Whats the difference?
I know it has cm10.1 bit why not on official CM site?
Sorry for al my mispels i write terible.
I9000 is the samsung galaxy known as the captivate.
I9100 is the samsung galaxy S2 upgraded verion of the samsung galaxy.
there are big difference in the how the phones are constructed.
cm10 is the newest version and deleveloped based on the latest software.
cm9 is anolder version based on gingerbread.
as to your other question cannot understand what you are trying to say.

cm10 is newer version of the foirmware and will work on sgs2. It is an upgrade of cm9.
Since it custom firmware, you must make the choice to flash it or upgrade it. Does not come as stock firmware or automatically upgradeable via kies.

CM10 is based on JB
CM9 was based on ICS.
CM8 was reserved for HC but was never used.
CM7 was based on GB
And the users question has nothing to do with the I9000.
I wonder the same thing actually. On cyanogenmod download page there are both galaxys2 and i9100.
galaxys2 have cm9
and i9100 have cm10 nightlies
Links: (cant post actual link without 10 posts)
galaxys2 - download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=galaxys2
i9100 - download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=i9100
My phone:
Model: GT-I9100
Baseband: I9100XXLPX
CPU: ARMv7 Processor rev 1
I'm from Sweden.
So with my phone, should I download cm9 from galaxys2 or would cm10 work from i9100 page?
Anyone understands me?
Thanks.
Both would work
But please do a full wipe before flashing if you are not already on cm to avoid problems

I get you! Though I have no clue why did they do that I can recommend you to go for cm10.1 or CM10 from "i9100"! galaxys2 is for the old cm9 version... I suppose they did it so because the galaxy S2 still didn't get its official jb update and some people still prefer ics hence they dont wan't to stop development for cm9 for s2 and merge it! I suppose after the official jb is released they'll merge it with i9100! Don't forget to thank!

[Q] Kernel for Samsung Galaxy GT-I9300

Hi guys,
First of all, sorry if i ask this question which may have been asked previously but i really need to know this. Currently i am using Paranoid Android 3.15 ROM in my phone and i just flashed Siyah Kernel yesterday night. I found out that my phone is consuming more battery compare to stock kernel.
I want to flash Lean Kernel or Franco Kernel but i just can't find their kernel whether they are suitable for PA ROM or not. Can you guys please help me with this? Or is there any other good ROM which has good battery life? Can last 3 to 4 hours of screen on plus wifi / mobile data enable will be a good choice for me.
Hope you guys can help me with this.
Thanks a bunch!!

Depends very Much on your Use .......But as a recommendation:
Choose between the most popular Boeffla or Googy Max. Boeffla gives really awesome sound and Googy max great for daily use and Supports dual boot.
Go ahead and try both
There is no best kernel, only what works best for you. The kernel another user thinks is best may not be the best one for you due to differences in how you use the device.
My advice is to go into the development forums and try some kernels yourself to see which one suits you best.
