So I was previously using the gladiatrix rom and I haven't been on the developer forum for a while and I see the new alien theme so I want to try that rom. I did a few things such as unlocking it, clearing the recovery and installing a new cwm recovery which wasn't really working (it would get stuck at the dual core screen when I had it plugged into AC charger)
My phone still was getting past the dual core screen before I installed the alien rom. Now I went into clockwork and installed the alien rom zip from sd and it said it was successful and everything but when I rebooted my phone its just stuck on the dual core screen and I cant seem to do anything to get out of it. It also says unlocked in the upper left corner

Download and flash via fastboot Romracer's CWM from here --->
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1204500
After this do the following:
Boot to Recovery
Wipe Dalvik
Wipe cache
Boot to fastboot
fastboot -w
Boot to CWM
Flash ROM
Wipe Dalvik
Wipe cache
Boot to OS
The problem is likely the version of CWM you are using, and your wipe method before flashing.
If you don't know anything about using fastboot go here ---->

Thanks for the quick reply. I've just started using fastboot recently and I'm not 100% sure how to do everything but I've got the flashing business down. So I did as you said and flashed that cwm you linked (orange if it matters) but how do I boot to recovery (I still get stuck at the dual core screen after I reboot using fastboot)?
Edit: Nevermind, figured it out. Thanks for the help
I'm in the same exact situation, however my battery is damn near dead
and it will not charge. In usb, green lights for maybe 3 minutes then goes off, in ac charger it just goes to the red m dual core screen
I can get into recovery, but not fastboot since my battery is too low to flash.
tldr battery wont charge to get in to fastboot to flash new recovery
what do?
Try this to charge your phone, worked for me.

yeah, no
I'm not stupid, I've tried every possible combination. I've even gone as far as to wiring two usb2.0 ports into one cable for maybe a stable 5.0v but it will green light charge for a little while then quit.
my phone may be a goner.

know anyone else with an atrix? might be able to borrow their fully charged battery long enough to fix your phone.
or you can take a laptop into an AT&T store and ask to borrow the battery out of the display atrix there. if the representative is cool they might let you do it.

okay well good luck...
So i recently tried to flash my phone to cynagenmod and i was intensely close to doing so until i noticed what i did wrong.
But then when i rebooted my phone after using clockwork, my phone would not boot up after the start screen.
I am able to use recovery mode and download mode but i cannot go anywhere beyond that.
I also tried restarting it with Odin but it wont recognize the device even though the proper drivers have been installed.
I have tried unplugging it in different usb slots and ive reinstalled Odin.
Is there anyone that could possibly help?
Just get back to recovery and flash the rom, many times if coming from a different version (2.2-->4.2) it requires more than 1 flash

Try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=44794712
And 2 posts down I explain what I did
Yo guys well it eventually had to happen someday. Well i will try to explain what exactly happenend.
I had the Sensation 5 Rom on my device. which means i was on 4.4.2 the CWM recovery is 6.0.4.7
yesterday i decided to flash back to the Revolution HD Rom which is 4.3 if im not mistaken... i didnt change the cwm recovery.
There were no problems while flashing and the Revolution HD Rom was working fine until today when i decided to boot into recovery Mode.
(My hardware PowerButton is defect thats why i took it out of my phone so yeah there is no Power Button on my S3)
Because i cant use the 3 button combo to get into Recovery i used the App quick boot and used the App to boot into Recovery mode.
Now from there on my Problem begins. The Samsung Logo appears then the phone boots into Recovery but only for roughly 1 second.
The only thing i can see is the circle with a hat in the middle (the logo) and the cwm version on the bottom before the phone shuts down and everything starts again...its kind of a bootloop only going into recovery mode for 1 second and then starting a new.
Which mena si CANT use recovery Mode and i ALSO cant get into Download Mode somehow... ive tried holding the Volume down button and Home button and everything but i cant get the phone into download Mode so yeah phone is stuck in that Bootloop which i explained above.
Do u guys think that a Usb Jig from Amazon would actually work getting the Phone into Download Mode? or is it a lost cause and i should start looking for a new phone? ^^
i would appreciate any answers a lot !
No one who can help? :/

well if i try adb the device isnt shown as connected because well the phone restarts every 2-3 seconds.
If there is still any other way wich it could work without a usb jig that would be awesome
ive found a thread over google which said something about sp tools and scatter files....looked like it was possible to change the files of the phone while it was shut down....Does somebody on here know if this is possible?

So I rooted my HTC ONE S (villec2) today, and I wanted to flash a custom rom on it. I got a recovery (turned out to be a bad one, but it worked either way.... I noticed way too late it was made for HTC One M8) I got TWRP 2.7.1.0 and I got it working on my phone. I then backed up the system, and realized I messed up the recovery. In the meantime I got a CM 12.1 img on it and wiped the thing. The wipe removed the old Android system and the CM I downloaded was a bad download. If I go to recovery in the bootloader, it will just do the HTC white screen with "Entering Recovery" and the red warning logo but it won't get anywhere. It's just stuck there. So now, I'm stuck with a device that won't boot normally - just stuck on the white HTC screen, will boot into bootloader, and I want to know if there's a way of accessing the internal storage without being in the operating system. The worst thing is, there's no external SD Card, all just internal... Please god help me. I'm really stressing out about this since it's the only phone I have and if I lose it.... well I'm practically f-ed.... :crying: I know that I messed a few things up really badly and I'm not sure what state the phone is in.
Also just to add, the phone is barely loading up right now. I'm really scared since it's my only phone and it won't even boot normally right now. It's really acting strange, it was on 90% battery but now it might just be dead... i don't know.... someone please help
I honestly think I screwed it up.... All it does now is just a white flash / flicker when I hold the power button (both only power button and vol down) and that's it. I'm really disappointed right now but oh well.... Maybe just because the battery is not charged.... Also been looking around the other threads and looks like a lot of people had the same issue but with 0 replies...

I have no way of trying the stock rom. I cannot access the phone itself because I deleted the OS. There's a weird thing, that if I plug the USB to the computer, it does the connect windows sound but the phone's internal storage is still not accessible.... So as it turns out I can get to the freaking bootloader but then it just turns off with a white flicker a second later.... I have no clue what to do :crying:
try to hook your device with windows and hold the Volume Down and Power
to see if it can detect it

Alright. I slept through the night and now I'm here trying to resolve this again. Status now, is that when I try to boot it up, it just shows a white flicker and won't turn on. no matter if i try to boot in bootloader or normally. The device doesn't appear to be charging when I plug it in because it doesn't show the LED light for charging. I think it's hard bricked. I tried other threads, showing bright light to the proximity sensor, but nothing happened.
//edit// - My bootloader was unlocked, and I was on S-ON (HTC ONE S, S3 villec2) that might change on your phone and might make the process different
So I fixed it. I will leave the tutorial for anyone in the future that might be having the same issue. If you "locked yourself out" of your system, eg. no OS, and broken recovery just plug it into the computer, try somehow getting into bootloader, go into fastboot and plug the usb cable to your computer so you're in Fastboot USB. Then you can flash a recovery on the phone using a fastboot command. I believe it's fastboot flash recovery _filename_. Just google that, there'll be plenty. Then you have the recovery and you're back on track. After that you can get the rom you wanted. Just don't make my mistake, and check if your device is exactly the same as the files you're downloading for it. I messed up there . Anyway, good luck everyone!

yea
Happy to hear that u have fixed your phone add "solved " to the title and add a fast tutorial for help purpose
Sent from my thl T6 pro using XDA Free mobile app
Hey there,
I was actually searching a lot about my problem but I can't find a solution anywhere so I wanted to ask you people.
Here is the story;
I tried to install twrp using a 3rd party Google play app it downloaded and said installed the twrp and asked whether I want to reboot the phone or not. Then phone got stuck in bootloop. Looks similar to the other ones but believe me it is not.
Here is why;
- Phone keeps restarting I can't even charge the phone because of that the battery just gets drained so I can't connect it to the pc
- Can't enter recovery or the fast boot mode I tried all key combinations only volume up+power works for me and it shows 3 selections. Recovery mode, fast boot mode, normal boot mode. When I select recovery mode it shows HTC logo and just keeps bootlooping. When I select fast boot mode it just says fast boot mode initiating and gets stuck there ( waited 5 hours ) when I select normal boot it already doesn't boot.
- I can't charge the phone to flash on pc since I have to have at least %35. Whenever I connect charger it starts bootlooping and never stops. Like literally I tried 24 hours and it never stopped.
- I am using Android 4.2.
Does anyone have any idea on fixing this ? This is my work phone and I can't get it to work. This is really very frustrating.
Can anyone help me get to the recovery mode ? Is my phone bricked ? If so is there any way to recover the phone or the data inside of it ? Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
So... any ideas ?
