EGO-360 256GB MicroSDXC UHS-I card with USB Adapter
http://www.myego360.com/products/ego-360-256gb-microsdxc-uhs-i-card-with-usb-adapter
Found some info from the developer:
Hi Guys,
My name is Jonathon Dodge, I am the lead designer for EGO-360. We developed our new range of microSD cards out of necessity, we were buying thousands of cards every month and our microSD providers were aways giving us delays, price increases and excuses. So I designed our new cards with the best component supplier Samsung. Our class range is class 10 cards are driven by SDR50 and our UHS-I by SDR104.
Now unlike some manufacturers that advertise fast speeds that are way off, we have the average speeds on our website. We test 30 cards in 3 groups, 1000 times. The three test environments ( Hot and Humid), ( Cold and Dry) & ( Office 22C within an Electromagnetic field). We write an encrypted code up to full capacity, verify & delete ( not format) 1000x per card.
Our cards work in most devices that I have tested, I have a 256GB SDXC card (exFat) in my Samsung S4 and the fastest it writes is 13.75mbytes, which is slower than some others.
We are users that have become manufacturers to support users like us....
Kindest Regards,
Jonathon

Will Note 3 be able to take it though?
I mean on the specs it says upto 64GB micro sd, right?

Does anyone know if they ship internationally? I have checked out their website and it doesnt seem to mention any shipping info.

In theory the SDXC standard allows up to 2TB capacities so it might.

well the myego360 guy looks to be in Newcastle Australia (does ship within Australia for sure)
The owner has a stand at parklea markets with a set of other products
not what i expected, but that said - if works - awesome.
i'm sure there might be a magical number of write cycles caveat

Plenty of people have modded using a microsd to sd card adapter and have successfully used larger than 64 gb cards, so I'm guessing it'll work. I'm seeing a mystery chirstmas stocking for myself from myself in the near future...hopefully.

i'm sure it's not availble yet, even the large companies hasn't released the 128gb, so a company like is is unlikely to have them, i'm sure once you place the order, it's a pre order and no release date.
To be sure, ask them to post or send a photo of the actual 128GB or 256GB version instead of posting a 32GB version.

Did op order? Because until somebody orders and verifies thread title needs to be changed. The description quoted just reeks of scam and all the pictures show 32gb generic micro sd's with generic USB adapters to boot.

Jonathon Dodge here, this not a scam and I took that picture quickly to get something into our product descriptions. We have had an issue with the packaging of the first shipments due to it's size and it fitting into our accessory blister packages of our other products. So with the new packaging coming through this week, my graphics team with take some pretty pictures and updated the product profiles and apologies for any inconvenience.
Our first two shipments were sold before they even hit our door to people close this project and our third shipment will be shipped by air on Thursday to our international buyers after coming through customs here in Australia.
We test 1% of every shipment for quality assurance and everything comes to me in Australia before the cards are shipped out across the world.
I have attached my Korean team's average sample h2testw jpg for you to review and if anyone would like to ask me a question, Im happy to help.

If they turn out to be an authentic item, i won't mind testing one out, what will be the cost to ship to hong kong, there is still a back order, is this correct.

No, i have not yet purchased this product but am highly interested.
Please release a video of the chip in operation. And please send the chip over to a reputable site for review. If they are too lazy, i would be happy to review it ASAP for you it you send me one.
There is a big market out there for this, especially since Phones are now quickly replacing our PCs as our media hubs and the only slot they have are MicroSDs.

FREE High Quality TF Protectors- Need Reviews! *Update 9/24 1st Batch Shipped*

Hi All,
I was able to obtain some free TF protector samples from a manufacturer friend of mine. Was wondering if anyone would be interested in getting one for free in exchange for a review?
Correction: Factory is in Taiwan, warehouses around the world. Here is their website: http://jcm7635.myweb.hinet.net/. It's one of the highest quality protectors I've seen which is why I wanted to get more samples.
Previously, I made a thread comparing this protector with one from Viewguard which I was quite disappointed with and it costs $20.
An iPad prototype was used when I first made the comparison, but they now have the correct TF dimensions.
I will try to update more pics when I get home today. There are no bubbles along the edges now after I applied the correct TF protector.
Anyone interested?
Edit: PM me your address!
Edit 2 9/22: Update with pics taken 5 min ago. Now that I looked at it carefully, I'm surprised it hasn't picked up any scratches or bubbles after 4 months.
Edit 3 9/23: I got all your PM and addresses. I should be able to ship to US and CA. For those international, I will have to check the shipping rates. Today, I was able to get the actual retails units with instructions and packaging. I will send them out either today or tomorrow morning.
Edit 4 9/24: I've gotten more requests than I initially expected, so I've already shipped all samples I have on hand today. But I was able to get my supplier to provide second batch coming in Tue/Wed.
Please post reviews in this thread; videos would be great! Thanks!
Due to overwhelming demand, I cannot accepted anymore requests after Sunday 9/25 12:00 AM PST!
hey, i wouldnt mind a sample in exchange for a review, had the invisie shield that i removed because it was prone to smudges and screen wasnt smooth on the fingers
ok, PM your address. I'll try to have it shipped tomorrow.

I'm in though, just got this thing, and forgot about getting a screen protector

Production delayed on the prime? UPDATE from memory express on delay

Just received an email from memory express who I have my preorder with.
You’re receiving this email because you’ve expressed interest in the Asus Transformer Prime, Asus next-generation quad core high performance tablet. We just received word this morning directly from Asus Vice President for North America Sales and Distribution that the production on the Transformer Prime has been temporarily delayed. Asus focus has always been on high quality and with the Transformer Prime being their flagship tablet product they’re spending some additional time and resources to ensure that the Transformer Prime reflects that at launch. We have also been informed that the gold version will not be available in Canada at launch.
At this current moment we don’t have a solid ETA on when pre-order stock will be arriving, as Asus updates us I will forward the information your way.

Wonder if there really is some sort of delay/problem or they just decided to screw over memory express and using that as an excuse?
UPDATE:
emailed memory express for clarification on the delay.
Originally we were supposed to get them on the 6th of December. According to Asus they are shipping on the 15th which means in theory we should have them on or after Christmas day.

memory who?
but really, i'm almost expecting gamestop to pull out on like, the 18th or something.
Canadian electronics store in the west
If I don't have my tablet in hand by the 19th I am cancelling my pre-order.
Wow. I would really be upset if that was the case.. I got everything set up (skin, microsd card with movies and music, screen protector and notebook case) its hard enough waiting until just the 19th for this device through gamestop online preorder..
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA Premium App
Actually, if this is true, then I'm tempted to cancel my pre-orders, period. I certainly don't want a unit that has manufacturing/design issues, which would explain the delay.
Could the few that ship have been hand-picked to not have the problem, or are they initial units that simply slipped through the cracks?
i would think news like that would spread like wildfire on the internet. I've seen nothing of the sort. Ever since my pre order I watch the web constantly for prime news!

I've been surprised that there's no reporting whatsoever on all of the confusion. I think maybe the original Amazon pre-order cancellation was reported on a few sites, but since then, nothing. I mean, this whole story is newsworthy (at least as far as the sensationalist tech media goes)...
I GOT AN EMAIL TOO! From NCIX (Canada)! I asked if I was on the first shipment with my pre-order and this is what they sent me:
Yes your should be, but we got more bad news yesterday. Apparently the wifi signal was very weak from these units so they have delayed this even further. We will be mass emailing everyone shortly with a temporary solution for the holiday season.
Best Regards,

SOOOOO my guess is that there are wifi issues with the first batch... They might not send them out, they might. By the sound of this email it seems like they MIGHT ship the bad units out anyways and give us a "temporary" fix, OR by temporary fix they mean "we'll delay it and give you something so you don't cancel over the holiday season and buy an iPad 2 instead".
I'm guessing they're really delaying the devices past Christmas. Sucks...
Oh and in the meantime on the ASUS Twitter page, everything is perfect! Yay!

Were the cancellation/notice of "wifi issues" from official launch partners? (Sorry, I don't know who the Canadian launch partners are)
If not, then I'd expect this is the justification they were given for there not being stock for non-official launch partners and what they're passing on.
The wifi thing, though, does make sense. I remember at least one review (the link evades me) where the guy was having serious wifi issues, and then got a replacement tablet which didn't have them.
So my guess is there's some sort of production issue seen on SOME tablets, and they're catching it in QC and sending them back, meaning the stock they have to ship for launch is cut way down (which would also jive with the Amazon excuse for their cancellations).
...then again they may be shipping them all and letting the early adopters do the QC, like what I seem to remember hearing with the original transformer. But that seems a bit unlikely given the excuses/stock underruns that have been going around.
Edit: Ahh, it was the Anandtech review -- http://www.anandtech.com/show/5178/an-update-on-transformer-prime-battery-life-wifi-issues
yes both NCIX and memory express were listed by asus as places to preorder the prime
I'll let you guys know what's up when they send out the mass-email. I'd be interested in knowing what kind of release date/window they give me with this whole delay thing. Oh and PRAYING for a free dock or something.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease... if this isn't an across the board delay a bit of complaint might get you something, if not quite your wildest dreams.
At least B&H seems to be unaware of this or their support just does not know.
Chris : Hey! Do you know anything about Asus notifying sellers about technical problems with upcoming Transformer Prime? Apparently launch partners of Asus in Canada stated that they got a message from Asus yesterday: "We got more bad news yesterday. Apparently the WiFi signal was very weak from these units so they have delayed this (release) even further." Has B&H gotten such delay notification? Thanks!
Mark S: Hello Chris. My name is Mark, and I will be glad to assist you. Please give me a few moments to begin working on your inquiry.
Chris: According to forum post this notification came from 'Asus Vice President for North America Sales and Distribution'.
Mark S: We have not received similar notices from ASUS

Interesting how this is happening with the preorders in Canada but the device has been selling in Taiwan (Wasn't the release date 1 of December there, I think a few people have already got their hands on the Prime in Taiwan).
I would have expected the production issues to be present everywhere, including on the Taiwanese Primes.
Well to be honest I don't think we'd hear too much about problems with this device in Taiwan... For all we know there's a recall going on right now. Where would we even get that info?
I don't think this effects the u.s. Batch.. Seems to inky originate from Canadian preorders.
Hmm I will have to check my order with NCIX also

well it is possible it was one specific batch that came out bad and what they decided to do was screw over a few retailers completely and ship to other retailers as opposed to being short with everyone.

And seriously, do you really think this is even remotely close to what happened? My golly, the Prime's launch was delayed due to a manufacturing issue. That's it. By a few weeks, even.
In the real world, we even have a saying for this: "**** happens." Most adults recognize that fact and move on with their lives.
Clearly everyone is frustrated but honestly, I can't see how any re-seller would be culpable at this point with the apparent lack of communication from ASUS.
Amazon probably doesn't want the hate mail from misquoting ship dates and if they had solid information, they wouldn't have any reason to withhold from us.

So this is rather good news, which probably isn't true, but I hope it is, but probably isn't.... but really hope it is.
So I got a Amazon gift card yesterday, and Thought I sure would like to apply this to my 64 GB Prime tablet, as it hasn't be charged yet, and is still in a "holding pattern". So I got on Amazon chat support for the unteenth time this week, but instead of going through the normal customer service, I went through the billing side, b/c I wanted to apply a new gift card to an existing order... well, after they applied it, I had one more question for them...
Mek, thank you. One more question if you don't mind. Do you have any updated info. on a possible shipping date for the order?
Puneet:You are welcome and It will be ship very soon
Me:Really, because as of yesterday, Amazon customer support told me they had no other info. on the item and still had not yet received any supply from the manufacturer??? My shipping date on the order still says Jan. 9th, 2012... is this date just a place holder for the item, as I have assumed; as it has been the same date since I ordered on Nov. 22.
Regardless, your system says that the ASUS Transformer Prime TF201-C1-GR 10.1-Inch 64GB Tablet (Amethyst Gray) will be shipping very soon? That's good news if indeed true.
Puneet:I would like to tell you that the date which we give to our customer is the maximum time, but we try to deliver the package asap, and yes it is true
Me:Thanks for the info., you may have just made my day. =)
Have a good day.
Puneet:Its my pleasure to help you.
Is there anything else I can do for you today?
Me:No thank you

I don't know. Usually this is retailers over-estimating supplies and taking more pre-orders than can fulfilled. If this is a traditional relationship then Amazon, Best Buy, etc. had no idea how many units would be available. The are simply taking orders and possibly reporting this number to Asus as an idea of how many they need to supply; however, that does not mean Asus is capable of producing the amount to demand.
A good retailer will limit the amount of preorder to something reasonable; however, a lot just keep taking orders until they get the manufacturer says "Whoa too many" then start cancelling or pushing off to the next shipment. Most smaller retailers are not even in this mix at all and take pre-orders without even a chance of getting or actually ordering a single unit.
In Amazon's case, I bet they kept taking orders until they got an idea of how many they were going to get, then cancelled the overage. Many times retailers will blame the manufacturer, but this is usually an estimation error on the retailers side. Over taking orders is a good thing for retailers as most people will just pick a different product at the same retail (especially when they give out credits or coupons for your "inconvenience"), so its a win win especially since they can just say so and so didn't make enough.
Of course, there can sometimes be contractual agreements on volume to be provided, which is probably why Best Buy and Gamestop did not cancel orders. They probably estimated correctly or had agreements for so many units and only pre-ordered that many. Of course, this would limit supplies to other retailers without agreements in a low supply situation.
I honestly don't see anything here that would be Asus' fault. Maybe there was a hardware issue that limited supply, but there is always something with new devices going through new production procedures. So honestly I think this is just an "out" used by the retailers to offset blame for them over-committing pre-orders. The wifi issue was detected in preview units and there was plenty of time for Asus to fix production issues before the "officially" announced launch.
^ I work in distribution so I'm trained to blame the manufacturer. What you posted makes perfect sense though. I'm just throwing out WAGs in between checking my email.

Yeah, but it looks like the Fire has a high return rate which is expected to negatively affect their financials for the year.
http://seekingalpha.com/article/312394-kindle-fire-returns-could-hit-amazon-s-earnings
It really sort of matters how many people keep your device and not how many you sold. And I expect a larger number of returns in Jan/Feb.
Anybody can sell a lot of crap. Lets see what Asus finally delivers before we know who need who. Although, honestly, Amazon doesn't need anyone, so not sure its a fair comparison.

Will this work with cases that we have already? For example, it just replaces the existed door, right? Doesn't add any more thickness so we can't use the existing cases we have? Thanks in advance. I'm asking because I read the reviews on the BestBuy site and two of them say that it does add bulk slightly. Just don't want to buy this thing and then find out it's a matter of using this and not being able to use my existing case with it.

Not 100% as I don't have one yet, but I think it might add some additional thickness. So my guess is you will need new case. Maybe someone who purchased already can answer this better than me.

There's one listed on 23rd street and 6th ave here in the City. I was going to go and buy it in person and try it with the tough case I bought a week or so ago already on the phone. Figure I can always return it if they don't have a restocking fee.
Will post more information tomorrow once I check it out.
Thanks for the information, regardless. Much appreciated.

It does add some thickness. Not so much that you will notice it in your hand, but enough that most fitted hard cases will not fit properly. This is a discussion worth reviewing: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2609406
I went to the BestBuy in 44th and 5th in the City. They're clueless. Two guys with "Samsung Experience Specialists" jerseys or jackets or whatever those zip up things are, the guy kept trying to sell me something COMPLETELY unrelated to what I wanted. Finally I asked him if he had the Qi-compatible charging stand and he said no. Said he only gets "about 2 in a week". I gave up and walked out.

FWIW, I live very close to Best Buy's HQ here in MN. I know a lot of good people employed by them. With BB being a hometown store here I am rarely more than 7 or 8 minutes from a store location wherever I travel in town... That said: I drive past all of them in favor of any competitor, even if I have to go further and/or spend a little more. I do not feel they practice good business ethics as a company, and I do my best boycott them. I do some consulting work, and on occasion am forced to buy a computer component from them. I have had to do this 7 times in the last 10 years, and 5 of those times ended up with a sales person who either lied, or was completely clueless sharing bogus information as fact - in spite of their being the in-store "expert". Good luck to all who shop there, but please don't count on their staff to help educate you on making a sound purchase.

Anyone buy Spigen products from Mobilefun.co.uk

I bought a Spigen Ultra Hybrid from www.Mobilefun.co.uk and when it arrived it was the wrong colour and also it had the cut out for the TV aerial that the Korean version has. Obviously I would rather have the case without the cut out and the right colour but I have sent 3 emails to them now and each email had the same 4 questions about replacement or refund and they seem either unwilling or unable to answer more than one question at a time but unfortunately it is the same question.
I'm wondering if they do even carry the Ultra Hybrid without the cut out, I know Spigen do one without it because I have seen it but Mobilefun are not much fun to deal with. They take 24 hours to answer each email with a basic reply with a link to their returns form.
Obviously at this point I would not recommend anyone deal with them but would be grateful for any help.
Thanks

Shame about your poor experience with them I've never had any issues. A lot of suppliers have confused the LG G3 models. Many eBay sellers in the early days were selling the Korean cases as well. I suggest you get a refund and try Amazon UK or Clove or Handtec.

Yeah I know what you mean but I think it would be easier to get a replacement from them rather than get a refund. I guess that waiting 3 days for an answer is the main problem.
I know that Spigen sells the right one but I'm not sure if Mobilefun.co.uk sells them. There is no excuses for bad service these days.

I found you can ask question on the site itself against the product. Have asked about the antenna hole for the white version.

I have asked on there so I will just wait to see if they answer or even acknowledge the question.

I asked on their site and after 24 hours they haven't replied or even posted my question.
Many seem to like the site but ive had nothing but problems with them. Wrong items, claiming they have stock when they don't and the G Watch I ordered looked used and had a screen fault.
They have now replied on their site but I'm still none the wiser whether or not they carry the right case. You can see the reply on the site under the ultra hybrid case.
I've ordered some Spigen cases from another retailer on the web, we'll see if either of these show up with the correct colour and form factor according to their site. I've requested one red and one Android green. :fingers-crossed:
I've found that retailers on a certain Chinese wholesale site can often be easier to deal with and more reliable than some domestic retailers..

Little follow up to this, they removed my question from their website and still haven't replied to my emails so last week I opened a case with paypal and they haven't replied to that either.

Our Spigen Ultra Hybrid LG G3 cases do indeed feature a cut out on the top right corner for the antenna, as shown in the images. We have now added a note to the relevant product pages to ensure this is made clear to our customers.
I am very sorry to hear that you have experienced issues with your order - this has been brought to the attention of our Customer Relations team and will be investigated.
Jah - glad to hear that you've had a good experience with us.
ChrisM75 - Please contact our Customer Service team to arrange a replacement of your LG G Watch if it has a faulty screen. Various contact methods are available on the Contact Us page; links to it can be found at the very top of each of our pages.
Kind regards,
Mihnea

Customer relations team, what a joke that is. If they were any good or even existed I wouldn't have had to go to PayPal.
I order all my cases and accessories from Amazon....

As I have said I got my refund from PayPal so no need for you to try doing something now when it is clearly too late. Even when I opened the case with PayPal you didn't contact me.
What you can help with is why my review was not put on your website? I submitted it over a week ago.
Btw Spigen was not very happy when I told them how you deal or don't deal with your customers.
