make sure your mobile network box is checked on and
Name APN T-Mobile if you want and
APN epc.tmobile.com
Your hotspot should work then without the redirect btw.
Thats what i created.. It worked..
Then like 30 min later staryed doing the same thing..
I did a a wipe and dide a factory reset and did the erase data on recocery.. Norhinf worked
It kept the one i created.. But it wouldnt keep connection..
So. In APN names. I did a reset back to default.. And the original tmo data apn appeared..
And has been working fine all day

I am having problem in accessing mobile data from day I started using JB leaks. I am getting H+ signal but not internet. It works some times. May be it's just coincidence. Is anyone having this problem?

i dont believe there have been many threads reguarding your issue....of having a network but with no internet.
i assume you have run down the typical trouble shooting
APNS
MODEMS
ECT....
Oh, and when you switch back to ICS does it start working agian?
APN looks fine.
I am using the Odin version of LI5.

I'm having a very similar problem on my UK handset on orange running latest jellybean Rom.
There are times when I am trying to load an internet page or xda subscribed thread for example and the phone shows full signal and the data is switching between 3g and h+ on and off and the arrows show nothing happening or data transfer.
I normally end up exiting the page/app and restarting it.
Is this a modem problem? Do I need to flash a different one?

I have had this phone unlocked for several months now. It worked just fine on tmobile edge. This morning, I wanted to upgrade to 4G, and went to this forum and rooted with odin3 1.85 installed tmob stock boot, and tmob system then flashed blaze modem. No sim. Flashed uvlg3modem, no sim. Flashed all the available modems, no sim. Factory reset, no sim. emergency calls only. did have the android process.acore has stopped, but after the factory reset, went away. Went to tmob store and got a new sim. Still does not read a sim. Was working just fine until i rooted it, and flashed the modem. I have searched the forum until i'm ready to smash this phone. any help????
How long did you wait before you freaked and started flashing different modems? Do those modem files have att i717 anywhere in the file name? Flash the T-Mobile again and do not flash a radio. What happens?

After the first one didnt work, i went on and flashed all of them one at a time. the thread stated that if one didn't work, flash the others. And, no, they were all tmob. I have flashed blaze and uvlg3 twice each. I did blaze before I installed the tmob system on odin
Just flash the T-Mobile one and no radio.

how do i do that? I have the uvlg3modemfori717 zip file on the phone now. i also have vkltest, and icsblaze all zip files. do i drag it onto the phone, and flash it like before?
could i have lost my unlock? I paid for a factory unlock, $20 and sent my imie number. They sent me a code to unlock it.
Just use Odin to reflash the T-Mobile system and boot. Then let the phone start with sim in and see where you are at with a signal.

so use oden and put the tmob system in pda again? what about the stock boot? that one too?
ok did that, and still, says no sim card emergency calls only. still have the uvlg3modemfori717 zip file. did not reflash it.
I don;t know it this helps, but the phone is showing 4 bars right next to the battery, like it's picking up a signal. when i go to settings-more-mobile networks insert sim card to access network services. I have my old tmob sim and a new one they gave me yesterday.
Do you have bone of the att modem files? Try flashing the att modem file and then see if you get service again.

Re: [Q] AT&T I717, bone stock, not receiving SMS msgs
Find the topic in one of these i717 forums and follow the directions for a free unlock. If you need help finding it let me know.

Also if you have an att sim. Put it in and tell us what happens.

Unlocking is permanent.
You should test your sims in another phone - they can go bad.
You should return your phone to stock and test your verifed sim card - the sim card slot can go bad. Its a warranteed repair, but only if you have a stock rom.
tried to take it back to stock, now, it says that calendar.process has stopped, and goes through with other things until it just freezes.
Are you flashing after wiping everything in cwm? If you are having issues with things crashing, factory reset should take care of the issue.

I seemed to solve the no sim issue, however, it is running really slow, and different processes keep stopping. system process, android process, ect. I have installed the att stock files and went back to the tmob, and that still doesn't fix the issue. I can't get into the settings through the phone to do a hard reset, everything fails before i can get there. the process com.android.phone has stopped. idk what the heck is wrong with this thing. all we wanted was to get 4g. man, i really screwed this thing lol.
Ok, heres whats going on now. I have fixed the sim issue, and the process issues. I reset my phone to factory. Now this is what i have on it:
tmobile system, stock boot, and icsblaze modem. I have 5 bars, and pick up tmobile, on 4G. Factory reset and icsblaze modem were the keys. I had the uvlg3 modem but it was causing my phone to crash. So, I deleted that modem, and put on the blaze, 4G works great. Thanks for all the help.
You are welcome. Its not always an exact science. I also had issues with different modems and always had to return back to stock Tom image.

Hey, can you explain how you fixed your issue? Thanks.
So I have been having extremely slow internet after flashing a ROM. I tried using APN backup and restore, and had some success, but in Cleanroms the APN section is completely blank. For some reason last night it was fine, I was getting my 5Mbps 4G, but now on a fresh install it is just crawling along.
I noticed that it says PRL version Unknown.
Any tips on how to get things back up to speed would be appreciated, thanks!

Ive spent days trying to solve this so I figured I would post something here and hope for a little assistance. After flashing a rom I noticed I had no mobile network connection when I tried to make phone calls or send texts but my lte connects and works and I cannot figure out how to restore my connection. I flashed back to my stock backup and rebuilt my nv data twice and I flashed my stock mdk tar and still have the same issue data works but calls and texts tell me "no signal found for mobile networks". If someone could give me some help it would definitely be pretty cool.

This happened to me once. It happened by flashing an AOSP rom that set CDMA subscription to NV by default. The only fix would be to flash a AOSP rom and then check network settings. Make sure RUIM/ SIM is selected in CDMA subsription and not NV. These network settings cant be changed on TW builds. Plus make sure CDMA/LTE/EVDO is selected. Hopefully this is what happened and solves your problem.
Edit: also make sure roaming is set to automatic.
