Hello people.
So heres the deal,
I got an Samsung Galaxy s2 (handheld,not blacklisted) from Ireland,from a friend.I dont know which carrier he used there,but the phone worked.
Now it is become weird,I want to use an Latvian sim card,out it in,but it can not connect to service provider,checked wit galaxsim app,no locks are present at all.Then I tried rom flashing,did some stock 4.0.3,4.1.2 and nothing,tried cyanogenmod,nothing,returned to stock 4.1.2.
Rooted the phone,busybox present,checked with several apps again,no locks,but neither does it connect to any Latvian networks.
I got an Estonian sim card,so for an experiment,I inserted it,and guess what,it connected to the network and i could make a call,send sms etc.
So im confused what is with this crappy S2,that he doesnt like latvian networks,but accepts simcards anyway.
Any Ideas to fix it so it does connect to all networks?

Have you tried installing a new modem? You can also try hawkerpauls nuke, maybe it has something to do with your friends modifications. Also, search any problems related to Latvian networks, maybe it's a known problem.

I havent tried these solutions.I'll try and then report
Did you try an other sim from your country/operator? sounds more like your sim is damaged somehow...

hmmm well then i'd say that another modem also didn't work, right? as cm has another ril as stock, and modems get flashed when you flash a stock firmware... well were the stock fw's you flashed sock odexed ones from your country/operator?

yep,I did.I have 1 friend from sammobile who has helped me earlier,and he provided me everything for my country.
Results 0,so I tossed that samsung away,and said to my friend to search in services for a solution or use it as mp3 :laugh:
He got that piece of crap for 15 Euro anyway :laugh:

Ok, so basically I got one Galaxy Ace.
I've installed some apps and it crashed and couldn't turn on. Til them the cellphone would work fine.
Then I've flashed it with a 2.3.5 Firmware, and after that I've started having network problems(sometimes Emergency Calls Only, sometimes it connects to the network but when I try to call it beeps and disconnect me, usually it works for one call and then stops).
I live in Canada. I've heard it might be some 3G problems.
I've tried installing the KIES European firmware, and the 2.3.3 Provider firmware. Same problems though.
How should I proceed? Which firmware should I use?
Flash the different modems and see which is better for you .

Only full packages change modems

yes. flash onepackage first and then flash another modem taken from full package. maybe u should also consider to change product code to match ur region/country.

Done that, got a screen with "Sales Code" then in the box in which I could type "SER" and below Install and Cancel. Thats weird.

Might it be the provider? I have the same firmware (2.3.5) and I haven't had any of those problems.
It wasn't the provider, could be the cellphone or the firmware. They gave me a new one, same model. It's working properly now. Thanks.

i have internet issue. i tried 4.1.2 stock, 4.3 stock, 4.4.2 ported stock, also 4.4.4 custom roms (almost all custom roms) my phone has clone imei. so i have to use patched modems (mk6,mg4 ETC.) but like every 30 mins, i loss my connection to internet. it pop ups 'you used 299.98 kb' i tried almost all roms, even a rom with 4 file (re-partition thing) but it still happens. anyone know how to fix it or whats the problem? in the past i used to same patched modems too. but this issue is new when i tried 4.4.2 ported stock roms.. please help me guys. :angel: thanks!

Hi all mighty forum members.
I've upgraded my S820, dualsim model, chinese version to AOSP_4-4-2 but lost network. Rooted of course.
I have tested all modem drivers suggested in forums, the suggestion to go with P780.v52,2013/11/06 didn't work either.
I have tested changeing IMEI to new one, set different IMEI to the sims, tested same IMEI to both sims, no luck. I also tested different simcard from different provider to rule out gsm/g3 issue, no good...
I'm a bit stuck here and would appreciate some hint to get throu this nightmare..

Do not ever change IMEI when you have IMEI ok and have no signal! Modem software is faulty!
Here are some modems for JellyBean and KitKat. You have there custom recovery TWRP too.

I've tested all of those modems for kitkat, no good, but the twrp makes life a bit easier when testing
What I can see it that some of the modems removes the imei after install, but easy to restore with mobileuncle.
Anyone else have any idea what to do or test?

What ROM did you used before the update ? Did you tried to use another ROM except AOSP ?
I think is a ROM problem !
It was the stock ROM I guess.. Didn't write down what version. I don't mind downgrade as long I get a working phone. Could anyone tip me of witch one I could use? That is a version known to be working.

thanks for the files. I installed the 4.4.2 (s820_ROW_s221), twrp 2.7.1.1 and tested with all the modems but no luck what so ever.
I've tested moving the sim from 1:st to 2:nd, no luck, I installed the IMEI stated on the phone, only one and with same number on both, no luck.
Wifi, however, works well as before...
I'm a bit out of ideas and would appreciate some suggestions that not includes using the phone as door stop....

Hi people, i'm here once again to ask for your help... I have one samsung galaxy s6 edge SM-G925F that is working at 90% only... My problem is that i cant make or receive any voice calls, i can send and receive sms, network, wifi, everything is working except voice calls... IMEI is ok, i checked it already, tried diferent roms but nothing worked... can you please help me to figure out what the problem might be?

Make sure your network is set to auto
it is set to auto, everything works, but i cannot make or receive voice calls...
everything is working, when i try to make a call it just disconnects, if anyone calls me, it gives the same as if i had it powered off.

What region are you and is your phone network locked?

Sounds like it's ypur SIM that might have an issue. Can you try a different SIM in your phone?

My SIM card is working fine... I tryed it in another phone and it works normally

same problem too!! i'm in italy my sim have ever worked very fine on p8 on 4g. but on this phone no..calls stop after 15 sec anytime flashed custom fw rooted note solved first i had a t-mobile rom....

Mayby you crached your security file try to see if you have a valid IMEI : *#06#.

Did you root? Flash roms?modems? Kinda need a little more info. If u flashed a rom sounds like u got the wrong baseband.

cant connect to any netwrok
I get imei number via the dialler and it just says 0-10
mine however is a phone bought from USA on AT&T nto the UK where i live. It never worked.
ideally want to root it and give it an IMEI, theres nothing on the box to state what it should be.
please help
