Sandisk 64gb Ultra SD Card Failure - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

Anybody have their's fail? I left mine plugged into my laptop last night via a Sandisk usb thumb card reader, and this morning it was not reading. Ended-up being able to copy files using a media card adapter, but the computer could not format it, nor was the phone able to read it.
I called Sandisk, and they're sending a replacement. This is my second Sandisk card failing on me.

Atrix SD-Card Issues

Finally got the 16 gig sd card I ordered for my atrix. Popped it in. Phone doesn't recognize it.
Tried the 8 gig out of my nexus one. Same issue.
Anyone else have this issue? Am I doing something wrong? Time to exchange the phone?
Try power cycling the phone with the SD card installed.
There's a note in the online manual somewhere, you're supposed to MOUNT and FORMAT the sdcard before first time use.
I'm using a 16gb microsdhc that was formatted previously. Didn't issue the mount command, but the phone is using it with no complaints.
Mount. Format. Wait for 32gb prices to drop.<G>
I used 32GB Sandisk SD card & worked perfectly fine. I don't have to format the card to use it.
16gb adata here. no issues. was already formatted and loaded with music and pictures after being used in captivate.
I found that I had an issue with the small brass contacts that tell the phone that there is a card inserted. Drove me nuts.
as you hold the card right-side up (card slots at bottom) at the bottom left edge of the sd slot, between the sd and sim, you will see the two brass contacts.
With no sd card in, put enough pressure on them to give better tension - not too much else it might think you always have a card in.
no more problems for me - hope for you as well
32GB sandisk class 4 no issues here
I had a similar issue. I thought it wasn't recognizing my card but it actually wasn't properly contacting the SD-card slot. I got it to work with some adjusting.
Same, purchased Sandisk 32GB .. inserted, powered on, unmounted, formatted, waited about 2 minutes and then mounted .. no issues ..
bad sd socket / slot
hi,
I had the same problem using my 8gb sandisk microSD, that I previously used in my old Nokia. It wouldn't recognize that it was even inserted. I tried pulling it out and inserting again it several times without any luck, until I tried inserting it and drawing it as far out as the plastic flip that holds it in would let me. Then it worked right away, -no need for formatting or even mounting.
I had problems with a PNY card. Atrix would not see it at all to mount, unmount, format.............anything. I ended up removing and reinstalling the card with the phone powered on just as a "what if" and it popped up right away. I was able then to format and mount and have had no issues since.

Keyboard dock with an adapter

I have a microsd card and a microsd adapter however when i insert the adapter with microsd inside into the transformer prime dock, its not recognized. Is the tablet incapable of recognizing a card that's within an adapter? Does it have to be a straight SD card for it to be recognized? Thanks!

Worked just fine for me....just tested it.
Just plug n play? Weird, tried two different adapters and two different microsds and none worked. Is there a way to force it to search for the card?
EDIT Nevermind worked fine after a restart.
Maybe its wrong format? I now have a 64gb prime because of 2 16gb cards i had lieing around
The adapter is transparent to a computer, both types of cards have the same pinouts. No device out there needs special support for those adapters.
Aye, maybe the adapter is just faulty or has a damaged pin that pisses off the driver.
I've had no problems with any MicroSD, SD, or MicoSD+SD adapter I've tried.

[Q] Cleaning MicroSd Slot

Short Story: Is there an easy way to clean the MicroSd slot? I want to make sure the connection is clean.
Long Story: I got a small amount of water on my phone last night and realized it wasn't charging in the morning. . I proceeded to take out my battery, microsd and Sim Card and stick it in a bag of rice and let it sit for awhile. Good news is the phone is now charging again. It had always worked great. Bad news is, some debris from the rice got into the microsd and SIM slot. I was able to gas duster the SIM slot clean enough where the SIM slot works, but the SD card slot I'm striking out with. It clicks in place, but I'm getting an error on it, saying to remove and insert a new SD card.
Did you test the sd card in another reader to confirm that it is the slot?

Yup, works perfect on my laptop with a microsd slot. I blew a good amount of rice out of the slot on the phone, but I assume I didn't get it all or it left a residue on the connection points.

How about trying a vacuum to suck it out instead of blowing?

I think my G3 just fried my 64gb SD card

So I have my microsd card in a microsd to usb converter in my car and it's working great. I turn off my car and remove the USB stick, remove the microsd card from the converter usb and plug it into my phone..no dice. Nothing, doesn't even recognize the sd card is put in, doesn't even recognize an SD card is there in settings->storage..damn. I plug it back into the USB converter and put it into my computer and NOTHING. Computer doesn't even recognize anything is inserted into my computer.
;(
Is this a new card? What kind?

The lock could be faulty, you need to send it for opening and checking
