Hey how did you transfer your games to SD?
I have been looking for a way to send Asphalt 6 to SD, its a total 29 MB on the internal memory.
What is this SDK tool?

It can depend on what rom you are running. Some roms allow moving all apps to the sd card.
Please tell me what is this Rom thing? Newbie.

Actually, the rom IS the operating system based on android in this case. Also, a rom does not have to be rooted.

Hi,
how to use the external memory for instalation of app and games?
I have Micro SD 64GB, and my Galaxy S III don't install nothing in there.
I try app2SD, Link2SD, and the ADB "setInstallLocation"...
Please help me!
Sorry my english. Thank you for help.
S3 is designed to treat the memory as one unit, when internal is full it will start to use external.

I tried as many methods as i could find and the only thing i succeeded in was breaking the Play Store through something i did, so be careful.

Are you sure? The last time my internal SD card was full and the phone was not installing the apps stating that the device is low on the memory. If it is designed to be able to use internal first and external afterwards then why it did not use it in may case. Is there any setting or anything to turn on this feature?
It's how the nexus works and how the s3 works.

Root and use DirectoryBind.
It's more technical, but it gets most of the job done, especially those huge games from Gameloft.
So before I try another method and possibly break something else does anyone know if Directory Bind actually works?
You have 16 of storage on the phone itself. Why would you need to move apps to the SD card anymore? I could see back in the days when you only had 1GB or less, but now there really is no need for it.

Nova 3: 1.9gb
Modern Combat 3: 1.4gb
That's just 2 games taking up nearly a third of the space and it is impossible without Rooting and tricking the phone to install the game or SD data.

OK so you dont play many games on your phone & the internal memory is obviously enough for you But thats not the case for everyone!
Most decent 3d games these days are over 1gb each so surely you can see why people want to install to extsd i certainly want this feature

HELP! UP!
Free up some space (move a Gameloft game folder from /sdcard/Android/data/ to /mnt/extSdCard/Android/data), install Directory Bind, then use it to bind both folders.

Can't believe you asked this man...
If you're rooted, run the following on Terminal Emulator
(you may want to reate a GScript link and e.g. an autostart entry so that it's easier to use)
Preparation:
* Terminate the app
* Copy/move the folder you want to transfer from the internal to the external SD
* Create a new folder on the internal SD with exactly the same name
Execution (run in Terminal Emulator / GScript)
Code:
mount -o bind /mnt/extSdCard/YOURFOLDER /mnt/sdcard/YOURFOLDER
Note: This does not survive reboots, you'll need to execute or automatically execute the 'Execution' part on each boot.
This setup can be repeated endlessly for all folders you want.

i just can not move apps or games to my external sd card
when i used (app2sd) program it gives me this msg : the device does not have a real primary external storage or the primary external storage is emulated .
My device is (samsung galaxy S3 - odin rooted )
any solution? thx in advance
I think your /sdcard is internal memory. The /mnt/extsdcard is external memory. If you removed your external sdcard do all your files and stuff disappear or are they still there?
If you are rooted I think you can change where everything gets mounted or maybe change it in your boot.img.
Also, it's not for nothing. Consider this an educational journey into the rich world of rooted phones.

First thx and about stuff disappear , no i can still see them whenever i use usb cable or any
its my first android so am new to expressions (your boot.img)
its ok just wanted to have more memory cuz my empty memory is 700 mb :S right now
and am using the factory rom ( maybe i have to setup rom so it can work?)
about education am afraid to educate on my s3 maybe i have to buy a cheap one until i learn how to use
thx again bro
Since you are rooted you can install a custom rom that has no bloatware. You'll get more space because it will only have the apps that you want

Dear all good day .
I am very new to this forum and also to Android tablets.
I have purchased iball slide 3G 7271 ( 3G model ) (Android version 4.0.4) in India. Available Interneal SD memory 2GB.
I have external micro SD card slot expandable upto 32GB.
I have downloaded and installed many games in it...but now whenever I try to download new ones , it says "INSUFFICIENT SD MEMORY"
In order to use my external SD card for installing the games and other things....
I have gone through Google search and found ""FolderMount "" software and downloaded to my tab.
I have installed also. It was successful.
but problem is....when I open FolderMount, it says......""serching for root "" ( with one EXIT button to cancel)....and doing nothing beyond that.
I request you all to help me in this matter with good solution.
thanks for your help in advance
regards

you will have to search that on google or something, maybe there's a way to do that on your device.
most lesser known devices don't have a rooting guide.
maybe you can use this
Try with link2sd:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2259175
my tablet not rooted. :good:
1st root ur device and use link2sd app
And slct ur default storage ext.
Note: if u install app on ext storage some widget and app could nt wrk proprly..

Use directory binder or gl2sd to move huge game data in ext sd card and save ur internal memory space.
how will I know if it is made in China or Taiwan?
when you got your phone out of the box, how many free memory do you still had?

I am not sure about how to know if its made in China or Taiwan. If you aren't return the device back or get an replacement. Better try the alternative for the memory issue. I believe installing only apps and managing them can be done in 2 GB of space if you want. Now, for bigger games, I would suggest you root the phone and use GL to SD and move all the games data to ext sd and play. You only have to install game's apk in the internal memory. Whole game data or gb/s can be moved to ext sd. So, buy a 32 or 64 gb ext sd card.
There are even few apps that gl to sd support for moving its data. As of now I believe this will be the right solution for you if nothing working.
Keep up the stock ROM with root as its more stable than using custom Roms. And then wait for 4.2.2 to come to release that allows us to move most of the apps to sd card.
Hope this helps ! ! !:good:

Phones made for china or taiwan are not duplicate or fake man. Those are special version made to be distributed in china and taiwan. And those phones are having 2gb internal space. Google it, there may be some procesa to check this by ur imei number or something else.
