hello everyone
i have just bought samsung galaxy star g-5282
my dream was to install and play gangstar MV or WCH on . and when i did so . MV didnt even bother to start . WCH started but everything was white ..
then i found out that i need to install a prog called Chain Fire 3D ... said it's ok then (google it . . . . )
then i found that i need to root my phone before i could use it (omg .. and how the hell can i root my phone?? *wondering*)
then i tryied to google it : and i found 754781587548751264621 numbers of ways .. as a noob with android ( was using N86 nokia before )
i didnt know what to do ,,, so my question is easy full detailed guide for rooting ..
by the way i don't have the usb cable ( left at my parents home ) and my upcoming visit to them will be after at least a month
so if i can do it without pc it would be way better
if not then some one tell me the easist and most effective way to do it and i will try it after i get my cable

First install flashyfy apk search this forum..
download cwm for this mob again search cwm in this forum..
extract the recovery.img from that downloaded cwm file..(use b1 archiver to extract).. place that extracted recovery img in sdcard..
now open flashyfy in your mob search for recovery img through that app.. flash it.. reboot phone..
now download supersu update zip google it..
place that supersu update zip in external sdcard ..
then go into recovery mode by flashyfy app..
and in recovery mode select install update from ext sdcard.. choose supersu update zip.. and proceed witg it you will have rooted the phone ..
if you have followed wat i said above.. try best..
and this way doesn't require pc connection to mobile phone by cable right?
please answer asap , and thanks very much in advance

sorry i forgot it needs superuser permissions you'll need pc.. if you can go to recovery somehow the possible..

First of all you can't install chain fire 3d app as it is not supporting you ll get surely bootloop...
second thre is three methods for rooting this device which are available here in xda forum....u can search it
Third you can not root your phone without pc...so its must

Bro u can only root device with pc.. the easiest way to root this device is Just download prerooted firmware ( available in xda ) then flash it.. easiest method... hope i helped

can you gimme a link to the best prerooted frim wire ( which contains less problems than others ) as human i know that human thing can't make a 100% successful work . so at least to be not soo bugged . and i will install it using odin as soon as i get the cable

Bro its eady.... just download the pre rooted firmware.... after then opn odin.. then clixk on pda and select the diwnloaded file... bdle aure to extract the downloaded file first... then click on start... enjoy.... hope i helped

first of all u dont need to downgrade anymore chk the thread all info are given whatever u need http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1038338
just root it via the updated instruction and install recovery and load custom rom easily.
it is the best method to root the phone and now it has the option to unroot .
reagrding backing up just install recovery and u can backup ur current froyo rom ,u may try titanium backup to backup appl.

To see if your phone is rooted, a simple way is to access apps like Terminal Emulator. Type su and you should see a pop-up. For setcpu, just do a simple search on the internet

if u have superuser icon just open it and check if it loads properly while cpu can be obtain by downdaling set cpu from market but i am not sure if it works with froyo or u might get kernel panic frequently so install stock rom try mik cm7 2.3.3 gingerbread or if u want froyyo custom rom go for any u feel like there are many in devlopment but i personaly like cm 7 and u can set cpu its pre installed in the version and u can set cpu to above 800 but below 800 works awesome and most games are playable witout any lag proceed with installing recovery

look since u have rooted now u install recovery the process has been mention here

just follow the install custom recovery guide once its done installing switch off your phone and press 3 button home+vol down+ power
this will boot into recovery from where u will be able to backup ur rom and install custom roms

My cell isn't rooted i think bcoz in some time even the get acesss then also it says failed ..... make sure ur phone is rooted...

look somtimes it does happen just download titanium backup and check if it is getting root permission or not.try 4-5 times if it fails then let me know. u do have superuser icon in application isnt it.
here are the procedure to install gingerbread root.
-copy all files from sd card to pc(backup)
-now format sd card fat32
-place the gingerbread apk 1.20 in sd card.
-now enable usb debugging settings-application-development -usb debugging (check the box)
-install gingerbread apk using file manger .
-press root and wait .the phone will reboot if it doesnt wait fr some time and see -if it works if not remove ur battery and reinsert ,switch on check if u have superuser icon in application.
-get titanium backup as it will ask u fr root rights if it install than ur phone is rooted or get terminal emulator from market and see if that works.
-now if titanium works proceed with installing recovery and then custom rom
it is working in p500 some user in xda had confirmed it so follow instruction properly if it doesnt than follow thw long process of downgrading and rooting with z4root

if are able to install titanium than it must have asked fr rot permisssion now if it is installed than ur phone has been rooted just proceed with installing recovery

if u fear u will never move out of it the most dangerous was downgrading which has risk while the rest are safe since u have already rooted there is nothing to fear just install custom recovery 1.2 for now and proceed with installing mik cm7 we migh get an update today so just wait if u want to flash the latest version http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=946354

if u have an apk just install using file manager though i am not sure it may require root permisssion ,.after installing open the app and try solving ur probs chk youtube there are various video there

hello again!after installing j2me runner i see 2 app shortcuts.
app explorer and app manager.
the problem is that neither the first nor the secont let me browse my sd files to find the app i want to install.there will probably be a way,but i now feel very stupid and noob,because i m trying to find it for an hour or so and achieved nothing!lol

well rooting gives u a lot of additional privileges which unroot phone cant so if it doesnt work try to root and check if the software help u to find the jar files in sd card

Hey guys, I just installed ROM Manager on my Samsung Galaxy Ace and went to backup my current ROM. After I entered a name for my backup and pressed the Backup button my phone has become a brick? I cannot turn it on no matter what I do. Can anyone please help me because if I do not get this working, I will be screwed, I'm on a 2 year contract with T-Mobile.
It's bricked. You should read the first topic on this forum.
You can try uploading firmware with odin, not sure if it'll help.
Volume down + Home +Power what happens? If you see "download" you should be able to use Odin!

Yes, Odin found your Phone, all good but you only have the cooper file... you need the other files, too !

Yeah I stopped it after it was taking too long, I also tried the one package (the one in the picture)/full package installation (the one you're pointing out), none worked and my phone doesn't boot into download mode, I have noticed a lot of people have had this problem. I am going to have to take it to the samsung repair center near me.
This was all caused by a recovery tool... how frigging ironic.

There is one more (maybe) solution to try...
Q8: Oh no! My phone is bricked! I accidentally flashed the wrong device in ROM Manager!
A8: Oh no . You might wanna try either:
Method 1:
-Remove the SIM card , SD card and battery from the phone
-Hold Volume Down + Home + Power
-(Optional) Bring it near a heat source .
-While still holding those buttons , place the battery into the phone
-It should go into Download Mode .
-Try to flash a full package file via ODIN and your phone should come back to life .
If that doesn't work , try Method 2:
-Bring the phone to a nearby service center for repair .

Sorry, Unlike the people who you are trying to catagorize me as, I do read stuff before I do it. I used the ROM Manager which was supposed to support the S5830.
And I have tried all these.

Y you wan to use rom manager on your custom Tom? Rom manager will massed up your custom rom ....if you wan do back up use titanium backup ..... that y I dont wan to use rom manager .....

I was not attacking or categorizing you, I tried to help! But you just did not read. That's why you tried to flash with the .ops file only. I'm no expert but I guess that ruined the very important Bootloader part of the phone.
Good luck with the Samsung Service, as I read here you're chances are good to get help!

No I didn't, I had selected to install the whole package file that I got from samsungmobile or w/e it is, not the seperate ones.
Look at your Screenshot, it proofs what I said...there is no phone,modem,csc and pda file.
Once again, it wasn´t meant to attack you or your fault(s), I´m not an expert, far away from it and I bet many here have done stupid things with their phones ;-)
Just read and learn and if a Dev says "Do not this or do not that"... DON´T DO IT !

ummm...dude . I think he used the onepackage thingy. Its where the phone modem csc and pda files are all in one rar or zip file .

Serious ? I have no experience with this onepackage install but why did it fail ? He got his phone into dl mode, so if he had all the correct files, what was the problem ? I don´t get it.
Hi guys i have found a one click root solution for alcatel OT7041X

And then u download the second progtamm when downloaded u install and a screen with. A root button. Appears my isseu was that its in chinese but i still tooted my phone succesfully so u click the root button and the programm wil run and give a popup u click the otion on the right side. It wil then install some chinese sueruser like app and reboot what i then did was download superuser from the play store and install when installing SU will ask detect the chinese app and ask u if u want to delete and replace with SU. Click yes and voila ur pop c7 is rooted i hope this will help some of u guys since there is not much to find on this awesome budget highendp phone
If anyone has some tips how i wrote this cause its my first attempt on a post like this...
PS does anyone have or knows about a working custom recovery for this device cuase ive read on other posts that it will brick if u attempt this... Ow yes and before doing all above always makea backups ....

I need some help unlocking my new One Touch Flash 6042D
I've searched the internet, but couldn't find any good tutorial that helped me to gain SU to this phone.
So far I've tried the following apps:
Romaster
zhiqpk
360root
framaroot
rootdashi
Rootgenius
SRSRoot
I also tried to follow this tutorial:

(stuck on #7, cus this phone has no battery and it is not working with the flash tool)
Does anyone resolved it yet?

The app is called zds_setup_5.2.16.3_azrjy (at least the filename says so).

People I got the breakthrough using vRoot/iRoot v1.7.9.2

Click on "Version 1.7.8 DOWNLOAD FROM HERE " . Setup will auto update to English version.

About rooting n cwm mod in 6042D

Im jay sakhiya(AJ) i have that phone till last 2 months....
I successfully rooted n flashed cwm mod recovery on these phone...
I didn t hve enough knowledge about porting rom...but i have li'l knowledge about rooting,flashing rom,cynogenmod.
I hve rooted my 6042D through vroot desktop app...
Our phone has kitkat version so its confirm we can only root it wid pc
Vroot can root ma mobile wid chinese root app....but it can change into supersu through these turtorial.....u can also find vroot download link there...
After rooting ur phone u can also flash cwm mod on it like mine....
I learn these method of generating cwm mod from IIN ( idea internet network)
I can share it wid u....

"androidhow" _website will learn you hw to create cwm mod
Now my phone hve cwm mod and its rooted wid super su.....yeah

We will post n create best roms in that group.....agar sikhne ki chaah ho to insaan kuch bhi kar skta hai:angel:

That's some great news.
Please, upload an original firmware anywhere and PM me the link. I'll share it to the comunity with all the credits to you.
You know, for the last two months there was so many fakes about working firmware for this phone... I hope that you've got this one for real.
Did search facebook. The only group i found was "alcatelonetouchflash6042". There are people asking for the firmware, and no links to it.
want system recovery of 6042D
After i flashed cwm recovery on my phone.....
Its good but now i found firware upgrade found phone for our phone.....
So i cant upgrade it bcoz i hve cwm mod recovery....
Although i forgot to take backup of stock recovery i also dont knw how to take back up of recovery....
Can any one tell me howz these upgrade???
Can it fixed camera issue in night??
Can it fix random reboot problem??

When u want to flash recovery from flash tool.....
U jst need to turn off ur phone then u can flash recovery or etc.
So,non removable battery is not question
Or when phone got bootloop u can turn off phone by press and hold power button untill phone restart n when bootlogo appear 2nd time then screen off release button
Yeah ur phone will switch off although u got boot loop....
Then u can go to recovery by pressing volume down n power button......

Thx. I already saw that post but I didn't understand how to flash it. Mine is already rooted and it has CWM. Firstly I have to mention that I have a TCL S720 not an Alcatel, but it is the same phone as I know (not sure 100% but 95% sure) and I tried to flash the zip from CWM and it said Flash failed. Have I done anything wrong? Should I do it otherwise? Thanks.

Download the Rootgenius,search from google and install in your pc and connect your phone,be sure that usb debugging is on when you are connecting your phone to pc.One thing is that you have working internet connection on your pc because this root software download some usb driver file of few mb.You root your mobile in less than three minutes
