TheCellGuru.com - Samsung OEM Book Cover Case for Galaxy Tab 7'7 - Black EFC-1E3NBEGSTA
I found one for only $31.70 + $1.99 Minimum Shipping (they have USPS and FedEx options)
They ship from PA, USA.
I wasn't going to get one based on all the mixed reviews and I wanted a "proper" case with multi-view angles, but for now I guess this will do at this price. At least it's not $45+
Ordered mine from there it was the cheapest i could find.. got it today.. it works.. in the pictures it looks thicker..

Awesome. Thanks!
Can't wait to get the whole set in my hands.
This is by far the cheapest I have found as well.
Thanks,
Hi there! I bought this case for someone else (gift), and I'm not sure if it fits the tablet well (I don't have the tab with me). Are you able to lock the front cover in place? Or is it basically just a flap? If you can post a pic that would be great! Thanks!

Search Youtube for a clip titled "Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 Original Sleeve and Screenprotector Review." (3:03 long) It shows the case in action. (Sorry I can't post links yet cause I'm such a noob.) From that video it doesn't look like the cover locks closed. It does look pretty damn sleak though. I've alread ordered one off eBay.
Price increased

Ordered one last week from the UK and got it today.
It's not a Samsung OEM. It's a Samsung Original product. (They are different.)
The cover does not lock shut but it does stay shut.

I thought the Samsung bookcase cover for the OG 7" did this a little better. The corners of that one protruded out past the screen just enough for the cover flap to nestle in. The 7.7 cover doesn't flop around like some iPad covers I've seen, but it's not as snug as the Samsung 7".
Anyway, I think 7.7 looks great and performs adequately and is good to have even if it's $20 too much.

I ordered mine from Cellguru yesterday for the $31.XX. Must have gotten the last one
A bit out if the subject but i think the following would be a better case than the samsung one. For starters it opens from right to left, as it shoukd, and the cover does not flap open as it has small magnets so it stays closed at all times. It also has easy access to power and vol up/down buttons, ear phone jack, mic, charging slot and speakers as well as the sim and sd slot. There would be no need to removed tad to access anything. The seller will also ship a combo stylus/pen, the stylus has a rubber end and it works flawlesly on the tab. I ordered mine about 2 weeks ago and received it yesterday, it came all the way from china. I originally payed 19.99 but the seller has then raised it 29.99, i guess due to the popularity of the tab. I still think its a very good deal for a very good case.

I don't get why people care what direction the flap opens. It's not a book, it's a tablet computer.

Are you sure, because OEM stands for "Original Equipment Manufacturer" and since Samsung is the manufacturer (i.e OEM) of both the 7.7 Tab and the 7.7 Book Cover Case, the Case could be considered both the "Original" case as well as being the "OEM" case

I think cases like this where you have slide the tablet in really hide the asthetic beauty and slimness of this devise. They also make it look thicker. The Samsung case is very thin. The tablet snaps in securely and allows you to see how thin the tab is. It doesn't mattervwhich wasy it opens. I can access all ports without taking it ot of the case. Obviously it all comes down to personal preference but I have seen no cases that come close to the Samsung.

I think it's been confirmed that all Notes are the same dimensions.
I bought this today. It looks the most similar to the Samsung one.

I don't see why you would have a problem with either of them. The only accessory that you could run into problem with is the flip covers that replace the back due to the NFC antenna connectors (although the NFC is disabled on the AT&T version so they don't really do much right now).
Here's the same dock as the one you have linked. $6 cheaper.

very good assessment of the situation. it has been confirmed by Engadget and others the dimensions between AT&T and international versions are identical.
The only only visual difference is the home button.
All other differences are internal and weight: international Note is 178g while AT&T version is 182.6g
Is there a different model number to know which one has the back? I believe they are both N7000, but is there a separate designation?
Yup, I got a boxwave tpu case for my N7000 a few weeks ago, tried it on my AT&T Note, fits perfectly, all of the mic cutouts, etc are the same

Great to know. Thank you!
Since there isn't any use for nfc at the moment, would it hurt anything to use a different back cover?

Hey guys,
I am new to wireless charging and one of my colleague talks highly positive of the concept. Specially when at night, how easy it is to pick up the phone from the charging pad, surf for a while and put it back without the hassle of looking for the wire and plugging into the ports.
I have a note 3.. and planning to go for a sgp neo hybrid case.. will i be able to make use of the charging pad along with the neo hybrid case. I do understand that a custom case cover is needed for using the wireless charging kit.. which is provided by samsung for S4. but i think they still havent come up for N3.
Anyhow i've seen on various youtube videos that many a times third party cases also work with wirelss charging without the mod/hack. Anyone tried neo hybrid for n3 with their charging pads?
I have tested this with 3 different cases except the Spigen because I haven't received it yet but I don't think that this case will be the exception

Thanks for your reply, but what was the outcome? were u able to charge with the third party cases? Are the charging times same.. slower or faster.
With Samsung charging kit that includes the back cover and the pad, they claim that the charging is faster than conventional charging cos it charges at 600MAh's.
M8 QI has sensor at least my pad has so if it beeps and light goes green in pad no matter if I have the phone naked or in a case it charges with 640ma this charge my phone in 4 to 5 hours which occurs every night and I am fine. Imagine that I had put a plastic cap in bottom of phone to have the usb3 plug clean from dust.

Can you try to upload some pictures etc.. i like the 45 degree slant.. its like a dock.. that charges wirelessly.. instead of placing on a pad. Good stuff.

The 45 degree needs inside the back cover I think 4 metal things and the base has magnets and that's how it stands. That's just your standard Qi charging pad. Won't work with your N3 unless you have the 'official' Samsung charging back plate, or you modify a receiver between your stock back plate, and battery.
In my experience,
With the samsung charging back plate, none of the standard N3 cases will fit on the phone anymore. It's because the back plate is thicker than the stock one.
With a receiver installed between the stock back plate and battery, it will bulge out. I don't like that either.

I guess i understand about the receiver now. Just read the whole wireless charging thread on this section.
This is totally new to me, hence the confusion... the back cover you mentioned.. does it add bulk to the phone.. as in thickness?
Is there a way a single coil or some chip can be added to the current phone cover. I have verizon model.

Yes, the samsung wireless charging cover is thicker. Will add 2mm, therefore, all your cases won't fit. Including the Neo Hybrid.
You can get receiver that goes between the battery and cover, but from my experience, it makes the rear cover bulge a bit.

1) Samsung has a wireless charging back (wireless receiver built-in) that replaces the battery cover/back already on the phone.
It makes the phone too thick for a case (a bumper might work).
2) They also make a S-view flip cover that replaces the stock back and has the wireless receiver built-in, no additional case needed.
3) Aftermarket Qi receivers can be purchased on Amazon and eBay that are placed inside the stock back cover, and if they don't cause a significant bulge in the back you can use a normal case, but one with a TPU or silicone back is most likely to work.
4) If you have a Qi receiver from a Note 2 (or similar) you can modify it to work inside the stock back cover.
ALL of those methods will require a Qi transmitter, or charging pad.
At least one seller on Amazon is offering a kit with both the Qi insert & charging pad, about $30 when I last looked.

I was looking at the video again, it doesnt look like attaching the receiver on your original cover has added any bulk or thickness right? Do you think it will fit the neo hybrid case.
Amazon has these receivers for 10 bucks or so.. i was planning to get one of these receivers and then get the TYLT pad for charging.. I was reading reviews accross various forums, and people are having high opinions about TYLT's features.

The cheap one may have been from eBay, or it's gone up.
Best price I see for a kit now is $48, http://www.amazon.com/Standard-Wire..._1_3?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1382047175&sr=1-3
There is a $10 qi insert:
http://www.amazon.com/Docooler-Stan...1382048041&sr=1-19&keywords=note+3+qi+charger
plus a $20 charging pad:
http://www.amazon.com/DigiYes®-Stan...1382048041&sr=1-23&keywords=note+3+qi+charger
By the way, I ordered an insert from that seller, it said "in stock" but the expected delivery time was 24 to 43 days once I got the order in. It does seem like you should know that before ordering.

Best price I see for a kit now is $48, http://www.amazon.com/Standard-Wire..._1_3?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1382047175&sr=1-3
There is a $10 qi insert:
http://www.amazon.com/Docooler-Stan...1382048041&sr=1-19&keywords=note+3+qi+charger
plus a $20 charging pad:
http://www.amazon.com/DigiYes®-Stan...1382048041&sr=1-23&keywords=note+3+qi+charger
By the way, I ordered an insert from that seller, it said "in stock" but the expected delivery time was 24 to 43 days once I got the order in. It does seem like you should know that before ordering.

Thanks for that info, i was about to place an order with that seller.. why wait for over a month when you can get the same from a US seller for the same price.
I was wondering if the receiver for Note 2 will work on the Note 3.
Many a US sellers are selling the recievers for Note 2.

Oh of course that's a history of devices. I've sold almost all of them. Just sold my Note II for $415 on Monday!
Sold my nexus 10 for $375 as well.
I do still have the HP touchpad tho
Ps. If you click the image it tells you the history of each device

I am waiting for my qi receiver, I hope it doesn't block nfc like yours, I wonder why the official samsung s view cover with qi is also equiped with nfc

The Note 3 has the NFC antenna in the battery. The Samsung Qi charging cover puts a receiver coil in front of the stock battery, so they added an NFC antenna in the cover. The two contacts over the battery are for the NFC antenna, the three contacts beside the battery are for the Qi receiver coil and the flip cover functions. Look at the picture of a S-view cover with Qi charging and you'll see five gold contacts.
The non-flip Qi back only has four.
I believe the official S-view covers for Note 3 also have an ID chip to let the phone know what color the cover is, and possibly more.
I am having trouble posting pictures. If you do an image search be aware the some of the returns for Note 3 images will be for other phones, especially Note 2

But the sview qi cover seems like it will never reach our middle east market, so I have already purchased the non qi sview cover about 2 weeks ago, I hope installing the qi patch to it wont interfer with the nfc functionality, also for the sview contacts ill share the ground pin with both the qi patch and and sview cover pins

Unique mobiles are having a sale. Samsung phone batteries are at $10, and the S-View cover for the Note 3 is at $25.
I am going to forego the S-View cover myself because it may rub off the olephobic (sp?) coating and leave a mark, BTW:

are the s-view covers generic or the real deal samsung ones? I got a s4 flip case from them and it was a generic/fake one.
I must say I purchased a note 2 phone from them last year and it was great. Quick postage
