If anyone knows of a better case to get could you please post a link...preferably to ebay or amazon
Thank you to anyone who is willing to help
I got this one at Radio Shack and so far I like it. Seems to give the phone a little protection and does not add too much to the phone. It was only about $9.00.
Incipio MT-106 Feather Case for Motorola Atrix 4G - Matte Black
I have the speck case. Very durable and even dropped my phone from about five feet high landing on the corner of the case on the edge of my metal bedframe. The case has a little dent where that happened but nothing happened to the phone. Doesnt fit very well in the dock but is extremely easy to take on and off.
you should think about getting a new back cover (i believe they come in green or blue) and then just putting a high quality screen protector on your phone. the scratch issue is gone, the phone still fits in the dock, and the screen is decently protected.
this may help:

I would recommend the Seidio Active case from www.seidioonline.com if you dont like bulk but want decent protection. I own that case in Sapphire Blue and love it. I'm currently using my Ballistic HC series case, which is the BEST protection you can possibly get for the Atrix. Beats the otterbox defender hands down.

i'm probably going to order me a case from Trident, this one looks so cool!

I'm definitely gonna buy a new back cover - http://cnn.cn/shop/motorola-mb860-atrix-blue-silicone-case-p-11666.html and most probably also the seido case - http://www.amazon.com/Seidio-CSK3MT..._1_5?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1317897936&sr=1-5
just a couple of more questions:
Will the seido case work with the docking station?
Which screen protector should i get as well?
Personally I just bought an oem battery door from ebay and it fits perfect, with less creaking than my old one. Plus I purchased a tpu case from ebay also, I always go with these tpu cases as they are lightweight and protect from major falls. Dropped my inc-s which had one from about 4 feet onto concrete and not a single mark was left on the phone. Hope this helps.
Sorry if I sounds like an idiot, kinda new to posting
I still prefer the old flip leather case I used with my HTCs with windows mobile. Good times...

To be honest, I love the aesthetics of this case; however, I dislike it very much right now.
I recently dropped my phone as I was getting out of my car. It's not a high car. I saw the phone hit the ground, the case flew off, and then my phone hit the ground again.
Now, my once pristine phone has deep scratches on all 4 corners.
Sad times.

New dilemma
Ok now after all of my case searching these are the two choices that i have:
An Incipio Feather Case and Zagg Screen Protector
or
An Incipio SILICRYLIC-Hard-Shell-Case-with-Silicone-Core
Which one should i get now?
btw i couldnt get what i said i was getting before cause they do not deliver to Pakistan but Incipio and Zagg do from their official websites
get the Otterbox Commuter
Dont really like the Otterbox commuter...what about the two cases that i stated before? Which one of those should i get?
Pwersonally, I would go for the 'Clear Protector' instead of Zagg... I have tried both and found the 'clear' a smarter fit.
As for the cover, it is up to you. Trial and erorr no doubt. I have the mesh cover which fits well (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/new-Hard-..._MobilePhonesCasesPouches&hash=item53e8938ff1) and provides protection.
I prefer Martin Fields than Zagg. They seem comparable in protection but Martin Fields has no orange peel yet has anti glare and also A LOT easier to 'install' on your phone.
I just got my atrix but i dont like the plastic cover. I had desire to this point and i am looking for a case which has that kind of feel like desire.
I would really appreciate any help
Just got my dock yesterday (love it!) but it's not compatible with the leather case that I'd been using for the tablet only. I've seen the dock+tablet leather cases that people have posted but they add so much bulk to the device! Is anyone else using/planning to use the dock+tablet without a case or screen protector? What have been your experiences? Is the backside riddled with scratches? I've got a simple netbook pouch to carry it around in but beyond that I just don't see a good solution for protecting it. Just wanted to get some input and hopefully confirmation that I'm not making a huge mistake!
If your looking for great protection with the dock included and little to no bulk try the skinomi skins!
http://www.skinomi.com/astrpr.html
The metal scratches easily so yes. I'm getting the skinomi with a sleeve for mine. Already have 2 small scratches on the back.
I just use a netbook sleeve that I made myself using felt and padding
Sent from my Galaxy S2
im using a swiss sleeve from walmart right now, i have a minisuit full case for dock and tablet on preorder. i dont feel its necessary for a case right now. think of laptops, most of us dont have bulky cases around our laptops, just a carrier bag to put them in.
I just use a netbook sleeve myself. When it's out and in use its unprotected. I have a few scratches on the back but really not that worried about it. It's a tool and going to see some normal wear and tear. Anytime I take it anywhere I have it in the dock and closed and the screen is still pristine and I expect it to stay that way. Have had gorilla glass on both my past phones and never had any kind of case on them and never a scratch which is impressive considering its in and out of my pockets all day.
Not at all why pay money for a case when you can get a 2 year full coverage accidental warranty from square trade for 69.99? Check my thread in general for more information

Looking to get a new case and was hoping to hear some opinions from those of you with cases or whom have had a chance to try a few out. I currently have the D30 flex protective cover from T-mobile (black and for sale if anyone wants it 10$ no drops). I really like the D30 material and have enjoyed their past products but my girlfriend's phone just broke (not using D30, but it got me thinking). Given that the Amaze is a heavier phone and the glass sticks out so much I feel I should step up the protection on this phone to prevent knicks on the bottom two corners that could potentially cause cracks. I've looked around at a few cases and have narrowed it down to a few.
-Trident Kraken AMS Case w/ Holster for HTC Amaze 4G, Blue
-Ballistic Case for HTC Amaze 4G / Ruby
-HTC Amaze 4G Tough Cases
(If I'm missing some amazing case let me know)
Price really isn't a factor, they are relatively the same price, and in the end it is a good idea to get something that will work and last in the sense of protecting an investment.
Only issues I have heard of but have not found anything concrete to go off of have been:
-Covering of rear holes (Receptiom, WiFi, noise cancellation; although I don't think I'd mind making them myself if I decided strongly on a case without them)
-Inaccurate fitment (as in the hard part of the case falling off easily or likely on impact)
-Thickness leading to lack of efficiency (no more pocketing, bricklike, etc)
-Magical Lint magnets (need I say more?_
Give me your thoughts and opinions if you'd like, or make a "case" for a case.
Thanks in advance!
Bump Bump Bump
I'm going to go ahead and make my 1st post. This is a good thread. I think you have a general idea of the best case for the Amaze already. You want to make a smart purchase, and not buy something only to find out next week what you really wanted is just posted. My advice would be make the best decision based on the facts you have already stated; keep us up to date, let us know the pros and cons. Then if anyone else makes a thread like this we can always link them to this post. As it is already quite informative

I have a Trident Aegis case for my Amaze and let me say, it kicks ass. The screen protector that comes with it really blows but I just put on a Invisible Shield instead. Even though the case isn't the most protective one that Trident produces, my phone feels really secure in it. Its not much of a lint magnet, but it attracts cat hair like none other lol It has covers for the charge port and headphone jack. The only problem is that if you don't have any finger nails, the charge port cover is hard as hell to get out. It fits in a pocket decently as long as you're not wearing tight ass jeans. I feel like my phone is rather protected and I'm rather impressed with it. I highly recommend it.
I got mine from eBay (shipped from California) and it is cheap and good quality. The case case and screen protectors (a few of them) are just a few bucks.
Just my opinion but I hope it helps.
I gut the Trident kracken in rd d silicone.. silicone kicks ass the hard plastic fits good..
no lint problems.
Needed to drill the ambient light and noise holes myself for a big improvement...
Also the belt clip thing is good but I don't like it over the screen face...if it breaks that will be some nasty jagged plastic directly jamming into my touch screen..
I am very confident my phone will be safe in this case on my construction job sites
I wish it had a hinged door like screen cover...I had that years ago on a compaq PDA... Worked great as a stand too

I really like my body glove case w/ kickstand. If not, the Amzer TPU cases is high quality case too. If you're looking to get a TPU case, look for Amzer cases...you won't regret it.
I bought this TPU case on eBay when I first bought the phone. I love it and it is cheap. It is really durable for the phone. Best $2.50 investment I ever made lol

As you can see in The Pictures Your Phone will look like a heavyweight worry-free drop device.. it has a nice kick stand which will easily break for overtime used but perfect angle as well when in viewing/watching mode..
Will do further review if ever..

I think otterbox for the amaze will not be made or they are planning to due to the fact that the amaze is not a all rounded carrier phones, i think Telus and T-Mobile only carry them as for now and rumor has that the Amaze 4g from T-Mobile will be pulled out because it is not selling well on T-Mobile Everyone get's the GS2 because of the bigger screen.. And as i ask one of the sales rep's in T-Mobile they will be releasing a Samsung Galaxy Note Next Year.. hope it's true or she is not shtn me...
honestly i woldnt even think about buying the kraken since it has clips and would brake whenever you drop it. i would really recommend you to get the aegis trident case since in my opinion is more solid than the kraken.
trident kraken
Ive had the trident aegis and the ballistic sg series and the trident kraken. The trident kraken is the best one I've found so far....as far as a case that protects everything...that's easy they don't exist lol. The kraken has dust covers and a nice fit and a belt clip..but the screen protector sucks..no protection for the camera...the dust plugs are a pain to get out...and the belt clip protects nothing when attached (but the back does face out) it covers about one sixth of the phone and is a pain to get on and off.....but i think its the best option as I think t Mobile pissed someone off or something bc no one is making a supremely awesome case for the amaze.. I've looked for sometime now...

So did you not like the Ballistic? I think that it would have great protection and not make the phone as bulky as the Kraken. And it already has the holes cut around the camera.
Getting the ballistic case should arrive next week. Will post back when I get it.
Initial impressions are that it looks like it can survive a fall and has all the ports covered and looks nice. Also it has the 3 holes cut out from the back around the camera that the trident doesn't have. Doesn't seem too bulky either.
Ok, I am kinda peeved right now. I bought a Diztronic TPU case shortly after purchasing my Note 2. The thing is just so slippery it screamed for grippy rubbery case. Fast forward a couple months and here I am taking my case off to clean out any dust inside it, only to find tiny pock marks all over the back of my phone. I swear it looks like a few grains of sand or something got in there, but I can feel nothing. I can only conclude even fine dust particles can scratch the back if caught between the battery door and the TPU case. Pretty disappointed my case has done more damage than keeping my phone nekkid ever would have. I baby my gear and this thing now looks like &#!$ on the back.
Anyone else experience this? Any better kind of case I should use when I order my replacement back? Or do I just need to be better about cleaning out the case more than once every couple months?
Thanks...

I have had this issue too. I bought a cheap TPU case off of Amazon while I was waiting for my phone to come from VZW and put it on after I had pkayed with the phone for a day. When it went in the case it was perfect, a week after being in it the battery door has deep scratches, the chrome bezel around the camera is scratched badly and the chrome bezel around the screen is DENTED IN! The case actually covered the bezel around the screen so it wasn't something in my pocket that did it, it was something that magically got in and out of the case. And lemme tell you those scratches and dents are especially noticeable on the Titanium Note 2...
After that I ordered 2 CruzeLite TPU cases, or whatever they call their cases, and thise worked much much better, my phone got no more scratches and was pretty welly protected. I still wanted something a little better though because I was still scared that if I dropped it that it would get badly damaged so when the Urban Armor Gear case was finally released I bought it and couldnt be more happy.
The sides are a way thicker TPU rubbery type material and the back is hard plastic. It gives the phone a more sturdy feel, like you could drop it and barely worry about it getting damaged. The few times I have dropped it didnt hurt the phone or the case, it is a very welly built case and doesnt add much more bulk than the CruzerLite TPU cases did. I would definitely reccomend you try one if you like the way it looks, the black and orange look really snazzy in my opinion, but I have a thing for orange soo....

I'm anal about my gadgets too. But when you put the case back on, you won't see the pock marks. If it still bugs you, just replace the plastic battery cover. That is why I prefer plastic instead of an all-metal body. If the battery cover gets messed up, you can always get another one. You can't fix damage on an all-metal phone like the HTC One. Yes it's a beautiful device, but once it gets the first scratch or ding, it will never be the same. Just like the first door ding on a new car

I've had this issue with previous cases on other phones in the past but not this time. What I did is within the first hour of getting the phone I wrapped it in that sticky wrap that's cut for our phone that they sale on Amazon then I put it in the case. One the phone looks sick wrapped up and two if I ever wanna pull the wrap off I will have a brand new phone with not one single scratch. Cause I found over time plugging a phone in every night in the pitch black before you go to bed eventually scratches around the port but not this time.

Yeah I found replacement covers on Samsung's site for $20. I know there's cheaper alternatives but I am always wary of knock offs. The bigger bummer is the sides of the phone are jacked too and ya can't replace those. Sucks. I was hoping to sell the Note 2 when the Note 3 arrived, but my resale value just took a nose dive.

I bought the Incipio Case LGND and have no regrets. You can find it on their website here http://www.incipio.com/cases/smartp...-cases/samsung-galaxy-note-ii-lgnd-folio.html or spend a little less and buy it from Amazon. However, I'd pay the extra extra money because it comes with a screen protector, cloth and lifetime warranty if purchased directly from the manufacturer. I don't have any issues with debris getting in between the back cover of the phone and the case. The phone is easy to place into the case and take out.
Always clean your case. At least ecery other day. Sabd and little dust particle will eventually get in there no matter how tight your case is.
As for me, I put on Xtremeguard back protector since I had the white version. I figured I can always peel the back and get higher resale value.
Hey guys,
Been using my DNA for the past year without a case and finally cracked the screen. Needless to say, after I repair it I'll be getting a case.
My issue is, most of the cases I see for the DNA are either downright ugly, or add a lot of bulk to the phone. I love how slim it is without a case, but obviously, with my clumsy hands should get one for protection purposes.
So, what cases are you guys using?
I currently have a generic wannabe case. It's got a plastic snap on cover, then a rubber casing around that. It's similar to what I'm getting. I had a Seidio case for my Thunderbolt, and was pleased to find they make the same thing for the DNA. They call it "Dilex" now. But you can get it on Ebay for 10 bucks less than Amazon as the "Active" case. It has a two-piece plastic cover, then a rubber cover, then an exoskeleton. AND it has a kickstand. I loved my Tbolt kickstand. I had my Tbolt for 3 years and it stayed in outstanding condition using the Seidio. I'm definitely a repeat customer.
Here's Seidio's page about the case:
http://www.seidioonline.com/seidio-htc-droid-dna-dilex-s/8532.htm
On Amazon, the price varies from like 28 bucks to 35 depending on color.

Here it is on Ebay:

If you find a difference between the "Dilex", and "Active", feel free to educate me. I haven't found a difference yet. I just figured Active was the old name.

I have a red Seidio Active (silver kickstand) that I've had since the 3rd day after I got my DNA and it's great. My only complaint is it does feel a little thick and I only use the kickstand as a novelty. It can't reach the wireless charger when propped up and I don't need to charge it other than overnight when I'm sleeping. I had a UAG on my Galaxy S3 and I desperately wish they had a version for the DNA as it offered the same protection but wasn't quite as bulky. The Seidio is top quality though.
Otterbox commuter series, I've been using them for 4 years now and no broken phones or no cracked anythings
Hard thin shell on the outside with a nice durable silicon/rubber on the inside (better IMO that the defender series cases) cost is around 35-40$ however if it breaks (which is extremely unlikely) just take a pic of the broken case and they send you a new one no charge AFAIK
Never needed to get a replacement as these are solid quality cases can't go wrong with otterbox

I have been using the diztronic case for over a year and it doesn't add a lot of bulk its basically a tpu case but has a matte finish. I like it and I tried the otter box defender case but it was so bulky I went back. I think its one of the better cases if you want something without bulk but I would think the screen would crack if the phone took a direct hit on the screen. Though I haven't had any cracks with it after a year and I drop my phone every now and then.

This is not much help, but hopefully you can go another year "naked". I have no case on my phone and love it. My wife has an S4 with a case (I forget the brand, but it has the rubber and then the hard plastic over it), and I think her phone is bulky.
Coming from a Droid 2, 3, and 4, most anything smaller that a 2x4 is small but the DNA has spoiled me.
I have cracked screens with and without a case. Currently naked and love it!
I use an Incipio Dual Pro. I love it.
I use the seido surface. Its raised a little bit above the screen which makes me a little less worried if I drop it, although it's still not as protected as it would be with something like an otterbox. It doesn't add any bulk to the phone, and doesn't ruin the shape of the phone so it looks almost the same as it does with the case off. I would just use the phone naked but it just feels like it's going to slip right out of my hand when I do that.
Sent from my Droid DNA using Tapatalk
I'm using the Seidio Surface too, I love the case, slim, doesn't add bulk, I have drop it a few times and screen still intact, plus the case has a polycarbonate feel, feel great on hand.
I use a otterbox defender and it is kind of bulky; but I am a metal roof salesman and use my phone extensively for work; pictures, pitch guage, ect... If my phone gets dropped on, or off, a roof it's chances of breaking are very high. I like the belt clip as well.
I use the Sedio Dilex with the built in kickstand. I miss my Thunderbolt, hahaha. Seriously solid case. :good:

Personally I am using the BodyGlove Dropsuit. It is inexpensive, thin, and seems to protect pretty well. I have dropped my DNA a few times, even once right on the corner on hard tile, and I don't have a scratch..

max protection
I use a otterbox defender and it is kind of bulky; but I am a metal roof salesman and use my phone extensively for work; pictures, pitch guage, ect... If my phone gets dropped on, or off, a roof it's chances of breaking are very high. I like the belt clip as well. My last phone fell two stories to concrete and because of the otterbox defender it suffered no damage. If your job is not so dangerous I recommend the commuter series by otterbox. It is much slimmer and provides protection very well.
I use the imak snap on hard plastic case, open top and bottom.. A phone this sleek and sexy shouldn't be hidden under a huge monster truck tire , otterbox-type case.... Eww
I had the worst for about 8hrs

I use a Otterbox commuter, but now I switched to nothing since I really hate the feel of the bulkiness
