I just wonder if there is a some sort of ROM restore point such as one in windows?
To tell you the truth I had a conversation with someone on my viber app and then the conversation deleted accidentally and then I changed my ROM to 4.3 but now my wife thinks I had an inappropriate conversation with this girl, now I have the backup file of my rooted 4.2.2 ROM now I wonder if there is any restore point in android or not, cause as I looked and surfed in net there seems no way to get back the deleted messages from viber someone told me there is a way to get back the deleted files from internal memory with some adb code which ofcourse I don't know how and I don't how much is true, please and please if there is anyone having infromation and knows a way to solve this problem please I'm begging you to help me :crying::crying::crying: this is a case of life and death my wife wants to divorce and she is my love of life and I did nothing wrong to harm her and I never even think of betraying her please help me for the sake of my kids don't let them lose their mother or their father :crying::crying:

In a SQLite database in /data/data/com.viber.voip/databases/viber_messages There is no simple way to back it up and/or restore them to the phone. A SQLite editor can let you view them but it is not very efficient or simple.

Suggest you read Faqs and Guides re Data recovery or try and find a Viber forum who may know more about recovery .

I have a rooted GT-I9100,

After re-installing a backup through CWM I can no longer install things like call recorder built into the rom itself, not the 1 of the many apps that do not work correctly.
I can't install any mod. I've tried to reflash the roms from fresh using Odin but it doesn't seem to work.
My end goal is to have a rom with built in call recording and for it to be jkay deluxe settings compatible.
I really didn't want to start another thread but I can't figure it out.
Can anybody understand what my problem is? and if so would you kindly help me out please?
Am I missing some important info or...

saw that 28 people had read the thread but nobody had left a reply to even say if what I was asking made sense.

I hv messed up my phone and want it back as new as factory shipped.
1. By chance i hv uninstalled the Contact and phone(dailer) app, and now i can't able to make calls
2. have installed S4 launcher and Ilauncher and i want to remove them, please help me to do that.
3. Lastly I wanted to bring back the phone to its original without any modification.
Please help me friends atleast with the first problem:crying:

If you want only the stock one then download a stock Rom and flash it but if not so then download a custom ROm of your choice flash it!

My battery had started to charge very very poorly so I decided to put a new ROM on it (to wipe everything and start fresh!
However I have put a new ROM on but now my phone is not registering on my network. I tried adding a patch but no avail.
Could anyone tell me where I can get a UK version of jellybean 4.2.1 official stock rom? I dont want a custom one as I dont faff with my phone to the max.
Any help much appreciated.
Plus ive seen quite a few battery calibration apps on play store, will deleting the battery bins file actually sort the battery life out or is it just a placebo type affect?

probably efs format is changed as you downgraded your phone. is your imei okay as well the serial number? if not, go through the link under my signature. for better battery results, root and use greenify. and moreover there is no UK version of 4.2.1 as it is just a leak!
Best advice is to read and understand the basics before you do anything, if you are lucky you might be able to recover the damage you've already caused but this isn't certain.
Getting into a flash panic will destroy your phone.

i recently had my phone stolen so due to financial restrictions ive been forced to go back to my galaxy ace i have finnaly got it rooted i think ive updated superuser via playstore and i dont know what to do next .basicly the only reason ive rooted is to increase the internal memory and possibly clock speed a little .now im not a tech minded person and havent got a clue what im doing so any help would be appreciated

Hello!
1. Flash TouchWiz-Resurrection ROM (in S5830i development forum) - instructions in main thread. It will revamp your phone, so you will feel it like SAMMY JB.
2. For performance, stay with stock kernel. For features use Rafael.Baugis, ThunderKernel, Cyanus, etc.
3. Configure your phone, to the best state (delete apps, that are useless for you [it's much personal thing], add useful, and move these apps to system.
4. Wipe data/factory reset again.
5. Ready!
It's way, in which I'm always going.

What i did was went to play store and searched "root required". lots of stuff came up that made my phone cool. I would recommend flashing gingerkat rom, it has been really good. my battery life has increased. i used to only get a day out of it, now i am getting more than 24 hours, this is with a little bit of use during the day, this is obviously with the help of cpu tuner. not sure if i helped, if i did please hit thanks.

But every time I try to put the service on, the settings crashes. (settings-services).
Has any of you met this kind of problem before?
If so, can you please give me some ideas how to fix this issue.
Oh I don't know if this is important, but the phone runs on android 4.2 and installed firmware (Rom) is SM-G900S_V05.

You might be very hard pressed to find anyone that can help with this. Very few people get clones and no developers get them. The main issue is the hardware is never what it says it is and the software is almost always the same, they will make minor edits to make it look like the os they claim it is and then change a text file to show a different OS version.
My advise would be to pull a logcat and post that. This will atleast get you what is erroring out.

I just flashed another firmware which I found at NeedRom, but the problem still exist.
How to get a logcat ? do I need to install ADB or some other app?

Had you followed the rules you agreed to when you joined you would not be asking me that question.
There are hundreds of ways to do it. There are apps and adb.
Ill be honest I think your issue is gonna be the OS itself.
