We'll first have to see if the apps we acquired would be compatible. ICS support is coming soon, so once that's done we'll look into further expanding the list of supported versions.

Another Release from Update?

Hi..
Here I have just found the Sony developer site. There seems to be a new version coming.
On top of the list.

Hi,
We all know there's an update coming -- supposedly bringing basic multitouch.
The file you found is just the latest build (since 2.1.A.0.390).
no rly new version: x10_x10mini_X10minipro_x8_eclair_2.1.A.0.435.tar
not .390

With it being such a minor revision, I think it's just a patch to the v 024 root exploit. Remember, SE is committed to giving us the best 2.1 available!
not dev related (more fyi), therefore moved to general

I'd rather have an ok 2.2/2.3 than an excellent 2.1 lmao 2.2 just adds sooo many new features...you don't really notice what you're missing until you use 2.2

I too am very interested in a stable version of android (any version) as my girlfriend can not stand bada but is not technical enough to flash all different ports and releases and i don't want to do it either.
Basically something till CM10 gets up and running to an acceptable standard

[Q] More kitkat roms??

I'm a smultron user,
For high end models we could see a large number of roms present (we could even make a big list) but for xperia 2011 devices there are few roms out there but they are all stuck at ICS or JB 4.1 or 4.2.
The jellybean 4.3 are very very very few.
Since the android 4.4 [KitKat] is made considering the devices with 512mb ram like smultron can we see a large number of 4.4 custom roms with great features for our devices??

Hmmm...the key word is " BE PATIENT " about it...there no Custom Rom yet for 4.4...just wait until Cyanogenmod Team release their Custom Rom first then ONLY then we can talk about 4.4 Custom Rom on Xperia 2011 devices...

Haha....before you get too excited, here is another key word for you " COMING SOON "....are you sure its coming soon as officiallysonyrebel said????
perhaps you should read THIS and THIS....
Cyonagenmod team HAVEN'T started to build rom for 4.4 and yet officialsonyrebel confident that it will coming soon...for your info, Beanstalk rom are also base on CM source code...if Cyonagenmod haven't started building it then where will any dev get the source code????
i quote....
we will continue to work on the 10.2 code branch, in parallel to all of our Android 4.4 efforts. For those that will inevitably ask, we have not made any decisions with respect to what devices will make the leap to the KitKat code base and likely won’t have that information for a few weeks

We are not in a rush to get 4.4 builds out . We are going to continue the process of working on CM 10.2 M1 - getting that out the door and onto your devices. Further, we will 'finish' the 10.2 code base, similar to what we did with 10.1.
As a friendly reminder, please don't flood us with requests for 4.4 - we all want new and shiny things, but we will not do so at the expense of abandoning the hard work our contributors have put into 10.2.
Final note, a lot of folks are reading into the "512mb" item on the release notes. No, this does not mean a sudden resurrection of older hardware, there are dependencies beyond the RAM (and CM has enforced that minimum since ICS)

I guess it is for a reason. In all JB roms on 2011 Xperias camera's quality is poor, also hard to make some stock apps and features to work.

officialsonyrebel: current update is the last update for 4.3 ... as we are moving level up to 4.4 Kitkat .. for all 2011 line up..
I again read what he wrote and it seems that he meant to stop 4.3 with that build and start to work on 4.4 when it is available...

That's from the CM post ...
It will take lot of time & effort for a 4.4 port ..........Dont expect anything this month or this year for that matter ....

HTC 10 Lifestyle! ROMs and Kernels!

Hi all! I did not find anything on the forum related to ROMs and Kernels for HTC 10 Lifestyle, the variant that comes with Snapdragon 652 and 3GB RAM! I bought one, would like to know if the existing mods will be compatible with the Lifestyle variant?
Bump! Even if someone would point me towards development of kernel for this variant would be good!

If the only difference is the amount of RAM and the CPU, it should be pretty easy to port AOSP-based ROMs (like CM) once they will be ready for the regular 10.
I highly doubt that someone will go and develop custom ROMs based on stock for this variant. I guess you can only wait for now.

About Android Nougat

Hello friends.
..is here anyone working on android n for i9100?? I know this is very old but yet powerful device...The Sony xperia s is as old as this device and the developer mickybart brought Android N for this by his extremely hard work...why I am writing here coz that mickybart apply some fix for ril issue in xperia s and the same also worked for Samsung ace 2 too.
So if anyone here developing N for s2 can check if that works here or not...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2958516
Hi,
Developers are working android N. Like every other android release, it takes time to fix build errors and to get the ROM working on the device, with android N not being an exception. It would be best to wait until there is an official announcement of android N ROMs instead of creating threads or posts like this. This is the wrong section to post this thread by the way

I am requesting to moderators please move this thread to its appropriate section or delete it completely if its unnecessary... Thanks
Hey, i already booted N on S2,
fixing some stuff so i can publish it. Plus the real problem we have is the RAM management 1GB is too little for Nougat. Zram doesn't help so much, i adjusted zram to 800MB ( haha).
Please, don't spam about Nougat here
and CM13 Official thread.

I also have MOTO G 2013 with 1 GB RAM and the Cyanogenmod 14 alpha is very smooth.

I'm talking to chipset. We have exynos4, it doesn't perform "fine", needs some tuning.
