Hi
I accidentally installed the stock unrooted "signed-nbx03_001-ota-120410004.zip" from the recovery, Now I m on ICS (unrooted),
Android version:
4.0.3
kernel version:
2.6.39.4
[email protected] #1
build number:
TISU0017700
Do I have any chance to root this ICS version again
Click to collapse
I have updated before discovering the prerooted ICS.
is there anyway to revert back to Honeycomb then re-update the prerooted ICS?
can the stock ICS be rooted?
Updated to the stock ICS after thinking Root Keeper would give root back but it didn't.
What recourse do I have?
None at this stage unfortunately.
Ok so heres the problem. I have an Asus Memo Pad HD 7 that I rooted using Framaroot & had the Xposed Framework installed as well. I stupidly tried to update my OS from 4.2.2 to the newest version and of course it didn't work.
From that I lost the exploit by framaroot so I rooted it again using Vroot. My tablet still says I am using 4.2.2 and it won't update any longer. So I once again removed the root, uninstalled the framework, and factory reset my tablet. This is where I am at now, I still can't update my android because it is saying 4.2.2 is the latest version. Can someone please help me with updating to kit kat?
Model Number- ME173X

Hello guys,
My Xperia z2 is currently running in 4.4.2 firmware.
I have got update notification ? for 4.4.4
But I am waiting for 5.0 , is it possible to directly update from 4.4.2 to lollipop through ota (without flashing ftf . )
Sent from my D6503 using XDA Free mobile app
Ok so since lollipop hasn't been released yet, I don't think anyone will me able to answer your question certain.
I would assume no. Ota updates I thought are updated system files and not a full rom. There may be a prerequisite to have some (or all) 4.4.4 system partition to be used as a base for 5.0.
I think you will have to do at least two updates. (first 4.4.4 -> phone updates and reboots -> new update notification for 5.0)

Not that I expect very many people to care, but if you happen to have a stock AT&T Samsung Galaxy Alpha, AT&T rolled out a security update today for this phone. Unfortunately, Android is still at 5.0.2.
**********************
Here is the current update: Android 5.0.2 Lollipop
The details
Release date: January 24, 2017
Android version: 5.0.2
Baseband version: G850AUCS1BOC8
Kernel version: 3.4.0-4486597
Build number: LRX22G.G850AUCS1BOC8
File size: 385MB
Previous version required: G850AUCU1BOC7
What's new: Android device security updates
Update will fail if your G850A is rooted (for those who used Kingroot before they removed support.) However, I wonder if this update is related to the phone being unrootable again...
Please Help!!!!
Kindly provide the firmware file here. So that we can flash it using Odin. We really need the latest firmware file for the AT&T Samsung Galaxy Alpha.
