(Q)Freezing phone - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

Lately I been experiencing freezing on my phone it doesn't matter what rom I'm running this happens when I reboot my phone (not all the time) what happens is when the phone reboots on the status bar on the left corner shows the sd card icon saying checking for errors after that the phone freezes and then it reboots by itself but it gets stuck on the samsung screen. Every time this happens I have to either re flash the rom or restore my back up. I don't know what's causing this it happens with stock kernel or custom.

[Q] App froze -> Reboot -> No signal -> fixed after reboot. whats wrong?

Today's morning my phone freezed suddendly and didnt respond.
I didnt know how to close the app that caused it so I rebooted it and it came back right after a few seconds, but with no signal.
I tried pulling in & out simcard or flight mode with no success.
Only after I did another reboot it was fixed and I could get signal again.
What happened? Should I be worried about it?
Im running cognition v1.5 & SpeedMod T27
I have seen this happen before. It's like the entire system freezes and then resets itself. I don't think that the phone actually did a full reboot the first time since you said it came back on after a few seconds. Either way I wouldn't worry about it so much unless it becomes a frequent thing.

[Q] Photon phone & apps not working after reboot.

For what ever reason my Photon will stop working or just freezes. At this point it will then restarts by its self or I would have to take the battery out and put it back in. Here is where it gets fun. Now whenthe phone comes on, nothing works. I can press any app and I get no responce. I cant make or recieve any text or calls or anything. Its like the phone is still loading in the back ground. The phone is non responsive for at least30 min. Then when everything finally does start to work, every button I pressed, loads all at once. All of my calls I tried to make just keeps dialing and hanging up over and over with out me even pressing any button, and the phone opens eveeery app I pressed while it was frozen. Please help!!!!!
Are you rooted? Have you unlocked your bootloader? Did you try to flash a ROM? Etc etc. Or are you on a stock phone?
im on a stock phone.
Then it sounds like you have out of the box issues with software. Return and exchange it for a new one. Should solve your issues.

Rooted Electrify 2.3.5 Stuck in Boot Loop

Hi. So my phone will sometimes freeze up in operation and then reboot indefinitely. Previously it would eventually load normally. However, when I use the app Switch Me and set up a new profile, it doesn't have the reboot problems. So I think it must be an app, or the internal SD card must be malfunctioning.
What I've tried:
-copied everything off the internal SD, reformatted, and copied everything back.
-factory reset, phone worked normally; rooted, worked normally; restored apps in sets of four using TB, rebooting twice after each, worked normally; could not detect a problematic app
-used others' suggestions of disabling wireless and GPS, so they weren't active during boot, did not work
-did not use TB to force move apps to the SD after doing so previously, thought it worked, but was temporary
It's very frustrating. The blinking light that indicates no service will usually be on during the boot loop. The homescreen battery and weather widgets will say "Loading..." indefinitely. Sometimes the battery will show incorrect percentages during bootup. Sometimes it'll just freeze on the USCC boot animation. Twice, I just left it in that case and let the battery completely discharge. Once, the phone started normally the first try; the other, it still remained in the boot loop.
My phone will be replaced anyway in the next week or so, since my screen is cracked. So I can probably wait to see of the next one will have the same problems, if it turns out to be the internal SD. I can't think of any other culprit. Thanks for any help.

I would RSD back to stock, factory reset after (using stock recovery), and then re-root the phone and install apps one by one...don't restore using Ti.

[Q] stuck at lockscreen/ black screen

Since 2 days my S3 sometimes doesn't turn on at all, or turns on at lockscreen and doesn't respond. It freezes
If I wait about 10 minutes, it reboots itself. Only other option is keeping power button pressed till it reboots.
It is a GT-I9300, running on latest stock dutch firmware: buildnr JZO54K.I9300XXELLA baseband I9300CEELL1
It doesn't freeze while using, it is a bit unresponsive sometimes.
When I keep turning on and off, it keeps working fine.
It happens about 4-5 times a day, after not being used for at least 15 minutes.
I am wondering it could be an app causing this?
I haven't installed new apps, but there was a update of Whatsapp I did install.
Should I flash the MB5 firmware? or just factory reset?
Reinstalled whatsapp, 1 day no problem, but today it starts all over.
This evening my s3 rebooted by itself and an hour later, it was stuck again, black screen, didnt turn on...

Has anyone any clue?
It sometimes reboots itself, sometimes my screen doesn't turn on, until I reboot.
Never freezes while using.

AW: [Q] stuck at lockscreen/ black screen
Boot up in safe mode and uninstall whatsapp. Then report if the issues still remain
|| Typed with my S4 Octa-Beast or my Note 10.1 ||
I tried, removed whatsapp again, and installed latest update.
Yes there is already a new update of whatsapp.
No luck so far...

Galaxy SIIX SGH-T989D crashing issues

Hi,
I'm looking for some general advice and troubleshooting for my phone's issues. My phone started crashing very often, sometimes at complete random, as well as when I was using it fairly heavily (any app that froze my phone for a second before loading before the crashing would now crash my phone). Sometimes it would reboot fine, other times it would bootloop once or twice before reloading fine. I previously tried doing a factory reset, removing my external microSD card, and updating everything via Kies and nothing worked.
I got bored and rooted my phone, did a full wipe, and flashed the latest Infamous update. The problem was still there but it wouldn't crash as often while using it because my phone could handle higher app activity but it's still there. Oddly enough, after flashing Infamous, it often fails to reboot and so I have to do a battery pull before turning it back on, otherwise it won't even vibrate after holding the power button.
I'm just wondering if you guys have any idea what the issue could be. Is it likely still something I can fix? Is this potentially a battery issue or is it a hardware issue?
Thanks so much!
