Hello! i have a samsung gt-s5830i stock with some problems!
when i turn on the phone there are a lot of windows that says that various apps (samsung home, touchwiz...)
have stopped unexpectably. when the homescreen is locked i have no broblem, but when i unlock the phone i can't do anything because of the error windows (also the background of the phone iss black while i see windows, like there is no launcher).
I already tried to full wipe the phone but nothing changed. I didn't try to root, to change rom or doing something, I was paying with the phone when this happened.
Do you ever had this problem? how did you solve it?

Hi,
I'm in desperate need for any help. I'll describe my situation:
After the phone offered me an update from 2.3.3 to 2.3.5, it remained screwed. When I returned to the phone after I started the update, I could see a red triangle with an exlcamation mark. Gradually, I found out how to access the recovery menu and the HBOOT. I did some googling in hope to solve my problem by myself, so a guy on a Czech android forum uploaded some PG88DIAG file which the HBOOT started loading for a while but always ended with an error like 'no image or wrong image'.
So I figured my phone data have gone to hell and moved on to try rooting the device. Again, I followed a guide so as not to mess anything up, but it seems that the odds are against me. I installed the driver, unistalled HTC sync, ran the phone in the USB fastboot mode, launched the unrevoked application with admin rights, turned every possible feature of my AV off and I just kep looking at the bloody 'waiting for device' message. Tried it on another PC, too.
If it can be of any use, my HBOOT version is 98.0002.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
(Make sure the drivers are installed on your PC) Boot into fastboot then reflash your stock rom.
Well, as a newbie, I have no idea how to reflash ROM. Care to help?

Download the RUU from here: http://www.filefactory.com/f/c64d333a2755a421/, then run it on your PC while your device is in fastboot.
Thanks, it worked! Now, could someone recommend me some ROM? I think it would be quite a pity not to root the phone now that've lost all data anyway.

It's fine, but if you want more speed, you could try a new kernel like this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1100396.
Ok, but what do I do with the kernel? Just install a file from the recovery like ROMs?

Yes. Make sure you wipe the dalvik cache after you flash it.
Thanks. I have a tiny problem with the custom ROM, though. When I try to access the sound notification change (the one for messages), it says that Sound set has unexpectedely stopped (my translation) and it keeps crashing.
Is it a known bug in that ROM?

Ask that question (or raise the issue) in the rom's thread.
I can't, it says I don't have enough posts to post in there.
Problem was solved by taking it to samsung service!
They changed a main piece. The motherboard!
DO NOT USE GALAXY_UNLOCKER.APK if you dont want your phone tottaly bricked!
There are other ways to unlock it!

Hello,
I dont know IF posting in the right place, but I searched the whole forum for a proper answer how to "unbrick" my boot loop-ed Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830..
Now I've tried installing several firmwares using Odin multi downloader v4.83 but none of them helped me, after all I cant access Recovery Mode!
I can acess Download mode, Emergency Dmod (arm9) and RAMDUMP (arm9)
I have: Android 2.3.3 GingerBread on T-Mobile Carrier (Hungary)!
How did I get here: rooted with SuperOneClick 2.3.2 and used an app for unlock (Galaxy Ace Unlock.apk) witch was probably the main source of the problem... Had no problems until I decided to reboot, rebooted successfully, the problem I had then was No carrier, then tried a second reboot and ever since then I'm stuck into a boot loop with no access whatsoever to RECOVERY MODE.
After installing firmware and waiting the 5 minutes in Odin, my device reboots intro a boot loop after about 2:32 min and nothing can be done furthermore...
I've serched the forum and found that data.rfs is missing in the firmwares... maybe that the source of the problem to... I dont know...
Please help me fix this problem!! Thank you!
p.s: noob alert

You'll just have to keep flashing roms via Download Mode until one works (try flashing the stock rom).
P.S.: Your device has it's own forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1164.

It seems like your motherboard is damaged so you'll have to take it in under warranty.

Thank you for your help until now & Happy New Year! I'd still like to solve this problem somehow before I take it under warranty! Witch I was planning to do tomorrow!
I dont understand how can my motherboard be damaged? If it would be damaged then probably I't would not even start in the 1st place.
I forgot to mention that I had a Movetosd app installed also, but I dont remember the full name of the app...

You have done everything you could and it's still not fixed (even the things other people did when they had the same problem - it worked for them, but not for you), so warranty is the only other way to get it fixed (or at least replaced).

Thank you for the help Theonew! Appreciate! I've taken it into warranty service, hopefully they wont find my device inappropriate for free service, and so I dont have to pay for it...
The only problem is that I have to wait at least 8 days untill I get it back..
Anyway, I've researched this Galaxy Unlock apk. and it seems thats the main source of the problem.
Thanks again!

I used this method Galaxy S3 Toolkit to root my phone and at point number 3) i selected the 3rd option after this option finished my phone would freeze after a certain amount of seconds after the boot i can click the powerbutton but nothing else and have to take out the battery to restart the phone.
What can I do to fix this again?
Follow this thread instead.
It couldn't be any more easier.

So should I just overwrite what I did with this method or do I have to remove sth first?
Will this also fix the freezing?

The same happened to me. I decided to stop using the toolkit. Instead, I downloaded de CF-Root from the Chainfire thread and flashed it using Odin. I still use that method everytime I want to root my device. It is also faster.
Here's the link for Chainfire thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1695238
My phone ain't rooted,no bootloader unlocked or anything, everything is stock. I happen to have some problems, where processes like system force closes randomly, music, beats, status bar etc. I tried resetting from the boot menu and it still didn't worked. Can someone tell me how to reflash the original latest HTC Firmware, for this phone? Its prolly country wise,so in-case you need it,my country is India. In the about tab in the settings, software number is 1.17.707.2.

Hi,
I am getting a Red Triangle error when installing lollipop. The first of 2 updates went successfully. But the 2nd wont install. I have wiped the phone but no luck. This phone has not been rooted.
Any help would be great.
try using the verizon updated when you connect your phone to the computer. usually that works.
How exactly do I do this? I haven't hooked my phone to my PC much before?
Just connect it and the phone will tell u if u want to run it as a installer is self explanatory once u run it
