Hey folks,
I think I unchecked a show animations box in settings, but I can't find it anymore. And I think my mega look like crazy without system animations.
Where can I find this in settings?
Thanks!

True, but without the animations it looks incredibly "clean" and not really a smartphone

How often you reboot your phone, and how much juice it could drain from battery? Unless you are flashindaily several times a day

thanks to myn, we've got an app that's a simple shortcut to get to that hidden power saver menu! i turned almost everything off in it, as i'm trying to see if that's what causes the 24% to 14% instantaneous drop...
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.logicvoid.powersaversettings&feature=search_result
check it out!
Is it the same menu as the one in the pokemon tweaks?
Edit: from the look of the screen shots in the play store it is. But that's good to know its available on any ics Rom... Good find!

Oddly enough this just helped me fix my lag problem turned off the reduce fps and everything is smooooth

So how does this actually help us? It seems like it's set up pretty conservatively right now to maximize battery life, so if peoples' main complaint is battery life this is already helping, no?

Its like asking if running at a higher clockspeed uses more power. At it's base, yes, but if you finish a task faster (is this case a graphical render), then you can return to idle faster, and thus conserve more energy.

Yeah, the theory makes sense, but I wonder if a task is actually finishing faster or if it looks like it's finishing faster because you're forcing the processor to work at greater then 30fps. Which shouldn't really be visible anyway..

because people like me, who NEVER USE power settings or any of that stupid crap, can finally turn it off.
Especially since there's no threshhold of what battery % it starts doing this garbage at. I want to be in control of my phone, but HTC clearly thinks we're all idiots and they need to baby us like Apple.
hint: they don't. my battery life isn't good, but when am i not near a charger? i work at a damn phone store all day lol and if i really wanted to, i'd call and complain and get an extended battery..i just don't want the bulk yet. i've never been in a situation where my phone died and i was all OMG WHAT DO I DO, so i'm not too worried.
maybe these don't do anything.. i just checked stuff and I'm at 9% battery and my frame rate didn't reduce, and my animations didn't go away? hmm

anyone able to get these settings to work?
yes this dosent works........ no use...... am usin ARHD 6.6.4 rom... sensation xe
hmm maybe that's the reason why it's hidden?? hahaha

Hello all,
This morning, I woke up at 6, as usual, for work. I removed my phone from the charger around 6:30. It was at 100%. I turned off WiFi and put the phone in my pocket. Got in the car and went to work. I look at my phone when I get to work and it's at 46%. I didn't use it for anything in the 15 minutes it takes to get to work. I actually didn't even turn the screen on until I sat down at my desk at 7:00.
Any idea what would cause this? On normal standby with average use yesterday, it didn't get to 46% until 7 pm last night.
I have attached screens. Thanks for all of your help.

As far as I know, T-Mobile doesn't have 4G LTE in my area. I appreciate the reply, though.
oh yeah not LTE but still a 4G signal.
and the top of the list is Cell Standby, as far as I know that is your Mobile Signal/Data battery drain

read about "Fast Dormancy".
If your carrier don't support it, you need to disable it because it will drain your battery in standby mode.
here's one thread about Fast Dormancy -> LINK

also you need to plug/unplug charger (just a quick one) for the BBS to make a reference.
Also, zero widgets on my home screens. Factory reset on Tuesday night. It was great yesterday (Wednesday). Just got the phone last Friday after having 6 G2x's and an Exhibit 4G (after getting the run around from Tmo about the awful G2x).

Well, crap. I won't be able to get to a charger until I'm home. I'll post new screens when I can. Tmo supports 4G, it's just HSPA+, not LTE.

it's fine asking question here though but don't use ANYTHING here and put it in your phone. you will brick it!

People said that's because of the 4G. Looks a bit stupid to use so much battery in so mess time. You should still check BBS later. As I see in your screens, the phone had no time to collect enough data. Leave the app started during 1-2 hours and check it after. If possible, don't use the phone during this time. Btw, welcome to xda and a pleasure to try help you.

Exactly, you need to leave it few hours in the same way you left it when spent all the battery.
The differences between the S3 I9300 and SGH-T999 are that your phone is dual-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon with 2 gigs of RAM while our phone (GT-I9300) is quad-core 1.4 GHz Exynos 4412 Quad with 1 gigs of RAM and the firmware isn't compatible one with the other. You can see the diference here: http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=4804&idPhone2=4238

Damn mate, everything looks okay. Also, looks like your battery is decreasing normal now. You had 30% and now you have 17%. Did you had something opened before? Any background process was running before and now is stopped? If you restart the phone, the battery is still showing you 17% now?

Agreed. Here is my latest cycle with over 6hours screen time. Didn't screen shot at 1 percent but I was at almost 1 day and 14 hours. 38 hours on with 6 hours screen time is almost TOO much for me haha hard to cycle the battery.

I've been on MJ7 for about a week now and I've noticed battery life is worse. My biggest user is the screen followed by Android OS. Android OS was never this high on the list before. Any ideas why this is happening?
i have not had any issues with battery life on MJ7 so far. at first i thought it was worse, but now it appears to have smoothed out. i let my phone go completely dead on the battery and then keep on the charger til its fully charged. that seemed to help out my battery life. i think i actually get better battery life after the upgrade. you could try a factory reset. or maybe seeing if any other apps are draining your battery, obviously if you do a lot of gaming or have your screen on for long periods of time your battery drains quicker. you may also want to turn your "auto brightness" off and manually control the screen brightness as its a battery killer

When this was happening on the first aosp 4.3 roms, deleting data for the play store and I believe the Google services framework and reboot went a long way to resolving. Also the wifi network settings under location services us a hog disable it unless you really need it.
