You can download the latest stock firmware for your Galaxy Note 3 from Sammobile firmware from here. Make sure to select which country and carrier you use from the list (Click where it says "TOP 10 LATEST", and select from the dropdown menu) when choosing. You then use Odin to flash the stock firmware to your device. Let me know if you still have any questions I'll be happy to help you out.

[Q] GT-I9100P (orange UK) firmware/rom/kernel ?

Hi all,
I have the following device:
Baseband version I9100PBVKI2
Kernel Version 2.6.35.7-I9100PBVKI3-CL608158 [email protected] #2
Build number GINGERBREAD.BVKI3
It looks like there aren't that many discussions on the P variant, and i haven't been able to track down the official stock rom/kernel for this model, can anyone point me in the right direction please? I have checked the official rom page but there isn't anything for PBVKI2
I have used Odin to put on clockworkmod 4.0.1.5 as i was doing some experimenting, i'd like to put the device back to the way it was if possible.
Many thanks!
Try CHECK FUS post .
jje
Sorry, forgive me, i dont understand, what does that mean?
Thanks
Search XDA for the post entitled CHECK FUS and read it .
Or check Samfirmware.com
If you want to find firmware that is not in the stock or provider roms posts .
jje
Hi jje, i follow now, sorry about that!
I've checked Fus (windows) and fus (market) both are identifying my device but aren't able to find the I9100P UK Orange firmware to download, only I9100P France . I've mailed the developer but i'm guessing its not there as noone has it yet? Or something? i'm a bit lost
sammobile oinly has the french one too
Update:
Developer has kindly added the UK Orange I9100P firmware to Check Fus

Thanks! I didn't know you could "dump out" your own kernel, is that difficult to do?
So your original kernel that you have extracted and now shared, is that in french or specific in someway or something or are these kernels generic for all GT-I9100P?
I'm about to root mine and as such I need to put a insecure kernel in first but then I would like to put a stock kernel in again, can I use your or should I try and extract my own. My GT-I9100P is on Orange but here in UK.
Thanks for your help!
You can use that one you have now..
also u can use HC-KTOOL from market to dump ur own kernel

Hi,
You're welcome
i've use HC-KTOOL (as Nyssa1104 say), but it doesn't work on ours GT-I9100P.
You need to edit your ro.product.model=GT-I9100P to ro.product.model=GT-I9100 , so without "P", reboot, and now HC-KTOOL work
Also, you can use my dump to flash yours , as you have the same original kernel.
Hey guys,
I have the Orange UK 9100P also. Can you list the steps you've taken/will take to root it? What custom ROM are you planning on putting on it or are you just after ROOT on stock atm? I've spent the past 18 month playing with HTC's and this just seems foreign to me atm...
Model Number: GT-I9100P
Android version: 2.3.4
Baseband Version: I9100PBVKI2
Kernel Version: [email protected] #2
Build number: GINGERBREAD.BVKI3
Thanks and sorry to be such a pain!

I'm being such a paranoid moron today - sorry guys
Just starting to get my head around the 101 different kernels. The Desire was sooo much simpler to root and S-Off
So in short - if I download the 9100PBVKI3_insecure kernel and follow Odin's rooting guide I will get my stock ROM, rooted, with busy box/SU and a yellow triangle on start-up... correct?
I can then take the Kernel listed above and replace the insecure one and the triangle goes away but the root persists?
Can I then use ClockworkMod to install ROM via recovery as I did on my Desire?
So many stupid questions I apologise... I will give the knowledge back to the community I swear
Also, which ROm on FUS is the UK one... there are several French ones and several that say (Made by user)... I presume the made by user would be the one requested earlier in this thread? I could then use this stock ROM to return the unit to "normal" for say warranty returns etc?

Looking for exactly the same information , and also coming from a Desire , which was simples ! and sharing a small amout of paranoia ! lol
Hi guys. I am new on forum and I own a new GT-I9100P Orange France. I have it for a couple of days and I think of a root method. This is my first Smartphone, so I am a beginner. I found this thread from google, I managed to learn something about rooting, but I still have problems. Let me explain what I understood and correct me if iI mistake.
So, GT-I9100P's kernel can't be rooted. I found on a thread here a page that talks about kernels and I managed to find an insecure kernel and a quick root .cmd file, thanks to Nyssa1104. If I falsh with Odin that kernel and then I run the rooting proccess, it should end successfully. But, besides the stability problems, a red triangle appears on boot. So, I understood that, after I root the device on a insecure kernel, than I must change back to the original (you named this "stock" I think) and it will be alright.
I have some questions too: can I find exactly the stock kernel??? If I change it, will the phone remain rooted??? Before I launch the root.cmd, the phone must be in downloading mode??? And this change will affect it's performance and stability???
Thanks a lot for attention and sorry for my bag english!
Please help me! Anyone here..?

Yes to root turn fone off once off press volume down(-) home & power buttons all together. look for your stock kernal and reflash and you be ok and yes root will remain.
original http://www.filesonic.com/file/4305715615/GT-I9100P_BVKI2_original.zip just make sure double check ok main link here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1101671
So, to run the automatic root procedure (root.cmd), the phone must be turned off and in download mode, thanks for answer. After it finishes, it will restart, won't it....
And after root I need to return to the original kernel. Just 2 questions:
1) How long does it takes to reflash wih Odin and I must wait some time before reflashing it?
2) This change will generate stability problems? What are the risks?
Hi again guys! I read about the CF-Root Kernel, which comes with root preinstalled. I think that I will flash this kernel because it's easy for me, a beginner, to root the phone. But on another forum I heard that GT-I9100P can't accept much kernels because it will lose it's NFC capabilities. Can you recommend me a kernel which is safe for my phone? Please, help me!!!
---------- Post added at 02:34 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:18 PM ----------
Something else: my phone kernel is BVki3, not BVKI2. So this means that the phone will not work with this kernel?

Unable to upgrade Android 2.3.4 to ICS

Hi,
I purchased Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100 from US. Now I am in India and my friends have updated their S2 to ICS but whenever I am conecting my phone via Kies it says that latest software is installed on my phone.
Details are:
PDA: I9100UHKI2
Phone: I9100UHKI1
CSC: I9100UUBKI2
Android Version - 2.3.4
Build Number - GINGERBREAD.UHKI2
Please senior member help me.
I don't want to root my phone.
Thanks in advance.
I dont think either you will send your phone back to US for any Waranty purpose or you will get an USA phone waranty in India, then what you are waiting for??
root your phone with Custom Kernel+CWM and install a ICS rom from CWM,
or flash the ICS rom from ODIN manually.
Root + CWM : http://download.chainfire.eu/40/CF-Root/SGS2/CF-Root-SGS2_CE_XEN_KI2-v4.2-CWM4.zip
official thread and Guides for flashing : CF-root link in my signature
Dude, if you really want ICS on your phone- Root It ! Because if Kies says that there are no updates available, you cannot help with it. Go ahead read one of the guides, and flash an ICS firmware via Odin- it does the trick. Even i was afraid of rooting my phone and flashing it- i thought it was dangerous. But dude, trust me- i was wrong. It has absolutely nil chances of something going wrong with your phone if you follow the instructions. If you root your phone , you can even get better things like Custom ROMs and other stuff which is absolutely brilliant and which you can show-off to your friends! Trust me , i've been through this. I was facing the same problem when all my friends on Galaxy Note got ICS, and i didn't. All i did was rooted my phone and put an awesome custom MIUI ROM on it. Now i shut their mouths hahah
So, go ahead- start HERE Just read everything carefully, make up your mind, and i'm sure you wont have any troubles rooting your phone. BEST OF LUCK!
Please press the thanks button at the end of this post if you found it useful !
Cheers!

UHKI2
Firmware info
PDA:UHKI2
PHONE: UHKI1
Date: 05/09/2011
Android 2.3.4
VNO (Venezeula)
TPA (Panama)
TTT (Trinidad and Tobago)
As ZACQ8 says you wont have a warranty with it but rooting is up to you.
Go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
Download Odin, then download the latest 403 version from post 3 for your phone and flash it, then boot the phone do a factory reset and your good to go with stock ICS.
The latest India version is XWLPF just download teh CSC under that heading to flash.

Could you please let me know from where I can download below file which was mentioned in your link (flash via ODIN)
Just download the firmware version you want from the second or third posts and extract the .tar or .tar.md5 file in the archive and save it somewhere
Also do I need to take any backup before performing these steps?
The FAQ tells you everything.
Backup your SMS and Call Logs using Ritesh Sahu's amazing apps SMS backup and restore / Call Log backup and Restore. - Remember to email the XML to yourself as well!!
Sync your memo's and contacts with Google.
Since you're not rooted, you cant backup specific apps or anything as such - so you will need to download them again from the Play Store (My Apps -> All Apps)
Backup all your SD card contents just in case as well.
Good luck!

[Q] Several questions on how to flash a Galaxy S3

Hey guys,
I want to install a custom ROM my GS3 but before I just want to ask some questions on how to proceed.
My phone is currently running on the SFR (French provider) firmware BUALF1 and I want to get rid of the software overlay (13 app which I can't uninstall).
So if I understand I have to flash my phone with the stock firmware XXALE9.
Then I have to root my phone (I'll follow this tutorial : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1701770).
Finally I can install the custom ROM of my choice.
Is that correct or did I miss something ?
Thanks !
ps: Sorry for my English.
If you like to install stock firmware then there is no need for root.
Download the stock firmware and flash it directly via odin. I'd suggest you to read Intratech thread to know all about flashing..
《tapatalked from galaxy s3》
Ok thanks,
I already read Intratech thread but I just wanted to be sure everything was good since it's my first android mobile phone.
If you just want to remove the bloatware you don't need to root you can just flash the regions firmware.
But most custom ROMS do this anyway so if you are going to root and install a custom ROM their is no point in doing this. (You can anyway it will just be a waste of time) Happy Rooting
Wow ok indeed I was going to waste my time so I'm just going to install a custom ROM.
Thanks !

if you wan't to upgrade you don't need to unroot, just flash firmware trough odin (addicted to your country)
also to unroot just flash with oding (stock firmware) and wipe data/factory reset and done,
threads are everywhere in general just look around

Since this topic is started might aswell use it instead of making a new one...so my question is:
From what I've read, in order to install CM7.2 on a Galaxy S2, you also need to install a custom kernel...so if I did all that, and want revert back to my original ROM and kernel, I just flash a stock ROM from Sammobile? Or the Kernel will remain the custom one (if so, how do I change it back to the stock one)?

Nope your kernel won't be left until you flash a Rom which has no kernel, but all Samsung roms out there have kernels inside the flashable tar or zip, you ain't smart if you don't provide a kernel which is made specially for the Rom

[Q] Get rid off 3 (three) brand to get jellybean

Hello XDA
I've been doing some research on my problem on dozens og forums, but I still haven't got what I'm looking for.
The problem:
I have a danish 3 (three) branded GT-I9100, which doesn't allow me to get the new android 4.1 update, as they haven't infected the update with their 3 junk yet.
I'm not using any of their applications or shortcuts, and would very much like to get rid of everything that has something to do with 3.
I need to backup the stock firmware in order to keep my warranty if something goes wrong, but I haven't been able to find out how to do it, because my phone has a very strange kernel: 3.0.15-1114882 [email protected] #3
I hope someone can help me. I'm not completely noob, i've been rooting my previously android phones without any problems, but I just can't figure out how to do it with this kernel.
Best regards

4.so get the nordic jb rom from sammobile, flash it with odin, root with philz kernel.read about efs backup and nand backup and spockys thread about simlock...lol

First you need to find out if your phone is network locked. Theres an app for that. (search xda/play store) the same app will be able to unlock it for you too but you will need to root your phone.. see my signature for your best option as its root with stock recovery. Your next step go to sammobile.com and find and download your current firmware from there. Then find a jelly bean rom I'm using nordic but search and see what sounds best to you... There are also custom roms you may wish to choose (wannam, jellybam, there are many) find one for you with the search box or browse the forum for them. there are custom kernels as well (jeboo, philz, there are many) find one for you as above or use what your rom choice is packed with.
I cant recommend enough using mobile odin (Play store) will cost you a couple of your currency but its worth every penny.
LASTLY AND VERY MUCH MOST IMPORTANTLY DO NOT FLASH ANYTHING UNLESS YOU ARE 10000000% HAPPY TO DO IT ONE SINGLE MISTAKE AND YOU'LL BE BACK HERE ASKING FOR HELP TO UNBRICK IT.

You havent seen it because it doesnt exist.I dont know how much of a noob you are, but you go to sammobile and get the stock firmware you are on now, and flash that if you are sending your phone back for warranty.
Eg.Im using spanish jb rooted because UK jb rom not out yet.My original software was I9100XWLPT (which is UK unbranded 4.0.4).
So if Im sending my phone back, I just flash the LPT rom from Sammobile; and check no traces of root are on my phone.
So, what you think a backup is/means, is the same result as just flashing the stock rom your on now.
You can check or wait to see if someone can confirm what level of, or if kies can make a backup of your stock rom, as I dont use kies or havent seen anyone using it.They just use odin.
