Hi everybody.
I have been having issues with Miui rom performance ever since the ICS release.
I see many ppl commenting @ miui forum how the releases are working perfectly
for them and no problems but for me generaly those few ICS releases have been
nothing but slow laggy and unresponsive.
No other rom behaves like this. Everything works (camera, sms, calling).
I have tried all possible roms, both GB and ICS and none is slow and unresponsive like Miui.
Right now i'm running Checkrom RevoHD V6 becuz i found the battery drain
be the best for my phone and N.E.A.K 1.4.2x kernel.
SlimICS wich is the last ICS rom i had was almost same battery drain as Checkrom
just not as smooth yet.
Anyone experience same issues?
No I don't have any of these problems.
The only problems I have with MIUI are the known bugs or rom specific bugs.
How do you flash?
Are you comming from a stock rom ?

Last time i used it i came from SlimICS 3.2
Stock i havent used for quite a while.
I've always done full wipe wiping system, data, emmc, cache, dalvik-cache and battery stats
and after all those manual wipes i run the Ultimate cleaner script 2.4
I did not have this problem the GB based Miui.
I like the gui of the rom and also battery is excellent with it.
But Lag and stutter is not fun

Still same issue with the newest Miui.
Installed a GB rom (Epsilon Project) and it's like night and day.

There is a thread in General for discussing V4 MIUI ICS also many other threads are there which port the ICS ROMs also. Bugs & problems of Beta versions should be reported there not here. otherwise use a Stable version (GB).

After seeing a few other threads in this forum section where people post bug & problems i tought it was the right section to post my question.
I'm sorry if i was not clear enough but it is a general question about the rom and how others
who tested it feel like.
Asking in Miui forum might only be seen by users who currently run miui.
Thus i would be missing toughts from users who tested it and experienced same issue and moved on to another rom.
Admins are free to move the thread if i made a mistake.
You can find lot of discussions on V4 in the thread whcih lnked in my post...
Me too waiting for a stable ICS MIUI version.

I might seem like a new member, but I actually lurk the forum all the time, and have flashed and troubleshooted a lot.
Unfortunatly, I cannot post this in the proper forum, cause of my restrictions, so I'll just give it a go here...
Before 4.1.2 stock Sammy was released, I had been using MIUI V4 for a very long time.
Now with the release of MIUI V5 on 4.1.2, I cant wait to actually start using this, but the soft brick bug which people encounter concerns me.
I wanted to ask this in the ASNET MIUI V5 thread, but as I cannot post it in there, I'll just ask a general question here;
Does the ASNET ROM also contain the Russian Roulette Soft Brick Bug? If so, is there anyone that can recommend me a different MIUI V5 ROM?
Perhaps the unofficial AOSP ROM? Or whatever is out there?
I hope some MIUI V5 users can convince me to finally make the switch.
I'd be able to solve the soft brick bug, but the thrills I get when my phone does not boot anymore, is just horrible.
Sometimes I think I'm too independant as a regular flasher.

I've been browsing en.miui.com, miuiandroid and whatsoever for weeks now, and I still cant detect a reliable MIUI V5 ROM..
Im using MIUI v5 myself and I dont experience any problems at all.

Hey i have the same problem. I install miui v5 and use for about 2 weeks. However after that time my phone closed and i could not boot it again. I really want to use this rom but because of that issue i can't use it . Is there any proper solution for this issue??

I know I'm using an outdated MIUI version, as the lastest is 3.8.23, so is it something that happens in 3.8.9 and the update will fix it? To be honest, I've had a hard time finding anything related to this matter anyway. It seems to be something exclusive to my phone and a few others.

I cannot read my SIM contacts. All contacts/import from SIM screen stays white and empty. Randomly some CM based ROMs are having this problem for my S2. I'm with i9100 international S2. What to do ? I really don't want to go back to 4.1.2 but...i havent found nothing 4.4.4 without a bunch of bugs in the bag.

SpiritROM on Samsung Galaxy S GT I-9000
Hi There,
I am using this ROM for last 2months, not much problems, but when i connect the phone to my PC, it doesnt prompt for selecting USB Mass storage. Due to this I am unable to transfer any data. I tried enable/disable Android Debugging, tried Options MTP/UMS from Settings->Storage->USB Computer Connection .. but still no luck.
Please suggest how I can enable the UMS.

I was using VK 7.4 jb4.1.2 samsung based rom for a year and every thing was fine. but since I started using this rom my wifi is not working after some days. the only solution is reinstalling the rom with wipe. I also tryed other roms like Slim Saber 4.4.4 and 5.0.1 and nameless 5.1 but all have the same problem!

I totally understand but sadly I cannot help you as I also have the same problem across the board with pacman, cyanogen, neatrom... all based on KK but it sounds like it is some thing to do with the base compilation. I never tried any Lollipop roms and wont bother I have spent a huge amount of time on this already.
Is your phone a GT I9100T? Mine is this model number
It was a wifi driver? based issue. which has nothing to do with the modem.
Other than this the spirit Rom was amazing. I wish I had 10 posts under my belt so I did not get sidelined to another thread. I would like to be part of solving this issue. Which im sure is possible. Maybe as simple as using the correct wifi software?
If anyone out there wants to be part of the solution please dont hesitate.

Thanks for the rom Nico, i remember the days where you made mods for RootBox. This is a very good rom (i'm still using it), full of customizazion possibilities, sadly it died soon.
SPIRIT Rom and bugs.... Well...
It is very stable and little bit spooky but still fency and stable rom . It is fast , just modify settings by Ur own pref. And i do suggest DorimanX kernel, v10XXX and time to time clean cache and anjoy this beauty rom

Well mate, do a total reset.... Use Odin and instal latest official JB, do repertion, my sugg is 3Gb data at least and offcourse 1Gb sistem... Maybe Ull needed for Lollipop and anyway it is fine to have it, ull never know... Do a little search for modem which is best represenative of ur radio and version of Jelly Bean(JB) for UR local .... for me, best one is I9100XXMS4 . Before modem, after instal JB, root Ur phone and downloaded ZIP of ROM, Gapps And Modem put on Sd or Internal(if in internal-dont format internal memory).... In Odin put PIT file and check RE-PARTITION field, TAR file of official ROM and chek PDA field, ellse live it like it is... Goa ahed and START it. Do NOT chek NAND field!
So conc: U need: PIt Repartition file, Samsung official Rom, PhilliZ kernel((for safe begining and Root)), Odin 3.07, Modem file I9100XXMS4(for modifying or latter purposes) and FAITh in Urselfe and knowledge Ask 4 more

My device is Karbonn A 30 , ICS 4.0.4
I flashed new 4.2.2 rom for my device and now my camera isn't working ..
When i turn it on the screen goes green after some time ..
I installed the rom correctly and i am familiar to flashing,rooting,etc.
I flashed stock rom again but still camera is not working.
Please Try to help me by developing some patch or something.??

For the fix to work, it's very important to boot into rom, open the camera once (obviously it will fail) then only you flash the fix.
Do not flash the fix right after flashing the rom
I tried installing your patch but its says " this patch is for GT- devices , your device is MTK" in my CWM recovery.

i am using Samsung Galaxy S3 Interational. with root.
bt my camera is not working.
1st i Flashed my S3 with Flashing Droid. i got thw S5 camera which was slow and that ROM wasnt Stable too. that was too annoying.
then i Flashed a NOTE.4 BASED ROM for my S3 n that ROM needed a Boeffla-Kernal-7.2 ...
This ROM was working nicely and it is stable bt when i opened my camera then its showing me the "WARNING- CAMERA FAILED" . I tried almost every single possible way to repair my camera.
i cleared camera data with force stop according to another forums, clearing cache n dalvik cache re installed this ROM with Kernal bt still having this problem and i tried all CAMERA PATCHES and FIXING ZIPS but nothing happend.... m still getting that Problem...
i am totally messed up now.
SO PLEASE HELPPPPP.

Sorry to post this question fellow members, I've been looking for several days without any luck. I was gonna post this quetion in the ROM thread, but thought it was the wrong place.
Currently running LiquidSmooth 4.4.4 on a Verizon LG-VS895 and just NOW noticed the stock camera was gone. I was wondering how to port the stock files back into this rom. I really miss the gimmicky stuff (like magic focus) and was wondering how to eliminate the camera that comes with this rom and revert to the stock camera.
I downloaded a stock rooted rom and tried seeing if i could move files over from it to my phone, but I'm unsure of where to start. Sorry in advance if this has been posted or if I'm a stupid newb, but this is driving me bananas.
I tried flashing camera mod hoping that would restore it, but that didn't work either. So, this question is based off of a fresh install of this rom.
