That was the root kit I used on my 321 tab z. Don't forget to backup DRM key before unlock bootloader.

DooMLoRD's tool is for earlier firmware releases and will not work with Android 4.2.2. Use the Vroot tool instead. Search this forum for information about the Vroot tool.

Thanks Xperia Tablet Rooted:good:
firewall of china
I purchased an xperia tablet z and I've had a lot of fun with it. It has its issues. But what's bothering me most is that because I bought it in China, it does not have access to any of the google services. So, no PLAYSTORE. And I am not a techie either. I looked into what rooting is and what flashing is. I was wondering if I could somehow root the device and install a new firmware from some other country... (or maybe its a new kernel.. I don't know what the difference is!) would I be able to run Google services ??
I have seen some devices here in china that have access to google services. So I know that it is possible. Just don't know how. HELP! And ya, I tried downloading Vroot and it took me to a Chinese website! Root"dashi".... in Chinese. And I don't think rooting is sth I can figure out in Chinese language. Can I get a link for the English version of it?
Details on device:
Sony Xperia Tablet Z SGP111
Build number: 10.3.1.C.0.136
Android version: 4.2.2
Kernel version: 3.4.0-g7eaf37a-01078-g2ebac89.

You should be able to flash a firmware from a different region.. Also make sure the firmware you flash, matches your tablet specs for example if your tablet is wifi only, then pick a European wifi only firmware.. if it's a 4g model then pick 4g European firmware.. Good Luck...
Rooted and enjoying google services!
Thank you for replying to my post. I was able to root my SGP311 android 4.2.2 with Kingo Android root software. vRoot works too.
But after that it was quite complicated. hard time installing CWM recovery. Trial and error until i was finally able to flash the japanese firmware. it took me back to and 4.1 which was great because now i finally had the tablet UI and could access small apps like it was meant to.
Thankyou all developers at xda for making it possible.

Requirements:
1. Java SDK installed in PC/Laptop
2. Android-sdk-windows installed in PC/Laptop
3.Root_with restore_by Bin4ry_v28 (this version I used, you can see the latest in forum)
I managed to root generic tablet with above. For step by step procedures, I think you could see in forum. But do with your own risk!I used the method without any official stock ROM, but it works anyway. No soft 'brick'.
Help !!

Try going to this website tablet express .com (New member so i cant post links). and download the PC Tools oh also you can download the original image file there. The PC tool.rar comes with ther RK Batch Tool(you can use that to flash firmware) and the Aprropiate Usb Drivers. Dont know if your model is there but im guessing you can still use the RK Batch Tool

Hi
I have just bought a Sony Xperia Tablet Z SGP311 10.3.1.C.0.036 in China, only to discover that it only has the Chinese version of Android, meaning I can not acces google play or anything, i need to find out how to root this and install the real version of Andriod. I am quite new to this and have tried to follow some of the threads on here without any luck, could someone explain to me in laymans terms what is the easiest way to do this. I have tried to use DooMLoRD, but it says device not supported. I have also installed a Chinese version of Superuser, and it appears that it is now rooted, but when i try and do anything it says i dont have access. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

I have recently gotten the lenovo A10-70 cellular, and have an problem with rooting the device. I have tried "frama root","kingo" and some chinese ones, but non of them did work... Some people have successfully root this device on the Android version 4.2.2, but have 4.4.2 - so i am wondering if i can downgrade.
I hope that some of you guys would be willing to help me at little with the downgrading :smileyhappy:

Solution
Mine came with 4.2.2, rooted it, shown me there is an update available, I updated, lost root and after - damn - hours I managed to root it (on 4.4.2) with iRoot (have no idea where i got it from, google it). After that I removed iRoot or whatever it put on my tablet and now Superuser works fine.

root solution 4.4.2
Hi ERRORFOUND and any others,
I don't know what status this post is if you already found a solution??
Anyway, I found a solution but can't post links here cause I'm not that active here, but wanted to share my experience with that lenovo a7600-h.
Here my solution: (copy of my blog: blog[dot]wohlfilmen[dot]de - check here for download link of iRoot Software)
Dear Tablet Users!
Nowadays there are several programs for windows etc. to root your smartphones and tablet devices. None of them worked for the Lenovo A7600-H with latest update from July 2015.
Update Information:
Lenovo-A7600-H_Screenshot_2015-07-04-00-53-24
Modellname: Lenovo A7600-H
Android-Version: 4.4.2
Baseband-Version: A7600-H.V34, 2015/03/24 10:29
Kernel-Version: 3.4.67
Build-Number: A7600H_A442_000_029_150324_ROW
Solution: After searching the half web I found a new version of "iRoot" (v1.8.5) with Model library Date: 150618.
iRoot is a Chinese root software and it will install a chinese version of Google Play Store. Then it ask's which chinese application you want to install. Just exit the app. After you got root acces you have fully control over every application with SD Maid or similiar apps. Deinstall it.
ATTENTION: I do not guarantee for any kind of bricked devices or that it will work with your device.
Links:
Download link of "iRoot Software: (Sorry, cant Post link - check my blog) (Sa, 4th July 2015 00:50). Attention: The name of the *.exe file is still: "iRoot_1.7.9" but after installing it says: v1.8.5.
Be careful with other iRoot download sources, I catched a few virus by searching for the right one!
ATTENTION: I do not guarantee for bricked devices of any kind.
Proof:
SD Maid by "Darken"

Hi, where I can get the USB drivers for this tablet?
Thanks
Hello,
I've been using these forums for years to root all my devices so thanks to all for the hard work.
I just want to know how I can root my Xperia Tablet Z SGP321. It's currently on Lollipop 5.0.2 (10.6.a.0.454).
I've looked everywhere and I can't find anything to simply root it, all I can find is for previous firmware and for other models.
Can someone please send me a link? My bootloader is is currently locked but an unlock is allowed so I can do that if required (did it with my Z2 and my Z3 so I know how).
Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you

Strange that you found nothing.
This firmware can be rooted with rootkitXperia | KingRoot or Vroot apps. I recommend the first one, as two other are chinese.

Thank you so much, I'll give this a go tomorrow.
I've never rooted a tablet before, only phones so I just wanted to make 100% sure about the build and stuff.
Just one more thing, the page says it's for 5.0, will it be ok on 5.0.2 or does the 0.2 not matter?
Edit: Ok, so I ran the rootkit and everything succeeded but now it still says there is no root access when I use Root Check and I can't run SuperSU as there is apparently no binary installed for it.
Any idea what the problem might be?
Edit 2: Ok nevermind, I finally managed to get it sorted. I followed the guide located here http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...ide-how-to-root-xperia-tablet-z-lp-5-t3253178 and all is well.
Thanks for the help
Hello all,
I need help rooting an old tablet z that i have. Im trying to root before unlocking the bootloader so i can backup my TA.
Mostly my problem is that all the tutorials/guides i either have broken links or they have something that doesnt work.
I have the wifi only version POLLUX_WINDY. And its running android 5.1.1, with build number 10.7.A.0.228
Is it possible for someone to help me with rooting so i can backup my TA for now?
Thank you very much.
Well after some lucky search and thanks to google translate is was able to find older versions of sony stock firmwares. I leave the link in here in case it can help someone: https://4pda-to.translate.goog/foru...uto&_x_tr_tl=pt&_x_tr_hl=pt-PT&_x_tr_pto=wapp
After going back in OS version i backed TA, and followed a guide to unlock and root the tablet.
