I am quite a newbie to this forum and i would like to seek help from the more knowledgeable one's out there.
I need to flash stock rom using odin to get warranty. However after flashing it my phone's imei changed
TO A GENERIC IMEI (0049XX) correct my if i am wrong.
I hav tried following rootSU post but still cannot restore imei.
ANY HELP GUYS?

Basics of your problem Restore your backed up EFS folder .
Fail to read the faqs and no EFS backup then you need a service centre repair .

Hello Everybody,
After rooting and flashing my galaxy S3 GT-I9300 I got some problems. I can't connect to the network and my IMEI has changed. I tried changing the IMEI following the instructions in this guide.
That didn't work. I figured that my phone might be t'mobile branded but i'm still not sure. So i installed a t-mobile ROM. This gave me more problems. The phone didn't start at all. Even charging was not possible.
At the store they flashed the stock rom for me. It does start but still weird IMEI and doesn't connect to the network. I also have these signs on screen (See print screen).
Can anybody help me please? Thank you!:good:

Hi Friends
I am having a serious problem on my s3. It is showing a Sign of Network (Network Bars) at the top side of the screen but still showing Emergency Call Only. I have tried flashing Different Custom Roms and Modem but it is still having the same problem. Pls help me with suggestions to fix the problem. My Country's Firmware Is 19300XXEMF6 19300JVEMF1 ECT but terafile has deleted the file as hosted by Sammobile. . I will be so Glad if my phone can come back to life.

My suggestion is don't post duplicate threads, search and read before you ask a question asked many hundreds of times already.
There is a specific thread in the sticky posts, over in general forum - efs 'know this stuff'.

hello, I installed CM 10.2 on my i9300 and I'd like to uninstall it and revert to stock rom bc I don't like it.
I don't know what firmware to download, my base firmware is I9300XXELKC and I downloaded it from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2030384 but I'm not sure.

The phone was received from service where it got repaired for lost imei. It had android 4.1.1 but I wanted to update to newer 4.3. With my recent experience I knew I had to make a backup of /efs before doing anything so i made a backup of /efs with the working 4.1.1. Then I updated to 4.3 and the imei got fked. It was an official rom. I rooted the phone to restore the efs backups i had (which i made with 2 programs: the one thats just a command prompt and efs pro). The command prompt program couldnt restore the imei and made it 0049. EFS pro could restore it and then I had a working 4.3 with valid imei still no network. I read that 4.3 has this efs v2 things so I decided to go back to 4.1.2. Going through the same stuff with the rooting and restoring the efs I still had a valid imei and sn but it said only emergency calls (e.g no network). Now im running android i9300XXDLID 4.1.1 and im at the same stage can someone please tell me what to do? I have not installed ariza patch and whenever I try to install some modem the imei gets messed and I have to restore it with efs pro. The phone is the samsung galaxy S3 i9300. It's out of warranty so I dont care about binary counts just need to make it work like a phone again as it cant call receive calls or send messages at it's current state.

I have understood everything and checked out all the other threads but the other threads have not been directly answered. I was confused and thats why I decided to ask for myself becouse after trying everything I cant get it to work.

Hi everyone!
I need your help.
When I flash archidroid (4.4.2) then I lose my IMEI number. Then I restore efs with efs manager or Kctool and I get the IMEI back with proper serial number.
However, I cannot properly connect to phone network. It connects for a second or two but then the connection drops. After a minute it connects again and drops again. I played with 2g/3g options but it did not help.
I can flash stock 4,3 rom back and everything works fine. I just would like to upgrade to archidroid or other Kitkat rom.
What should I do?
