[Q] AOSP bricks on this phone? - AT&T HTC One (M7)

Hi XDA,
So I used to have a Sprint HTC One, and never flashed an aosp rom because of so many people getting bricks on their phones. Is this a Sprint only problem? Or is this a problem on all carriers?
Here is a link to some of the sprint threads:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2449199

Thanks,
GalaxyUser50
EDIT: Also, if this is a problem is it on all roms? Only roms I really want to install are slim bean and cyanogenmod.

This is not the Sprint forums.

International HTC One (M7) roms on our AT&T One?

Just wondering if anyone knows whether we can use the International HTC One roms for our AT&T HTC One....I've noticed they have a lot more active development on their forums compared to ours and a much wider selection of roms too.
I assume it would be the same considering they both have the same internals, including the processor, etc. but I just wanted to make sure if anyone knows / has tried it before I take the chance and brick my phone.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help, greatly appreciate it!
I haven't had any problems yet.

Can I recommend trick droid? Its amazing I have been running it since day 1.
Yeah, I'm using trickdroid myself. Now I don't use the gs4 at all.

I was debating between that and ARHD. Any preference as to why you chose trickdroid?
I only flashed cleanrom and trickdroid on this phone so far.

I normally use cleanrom. How does it trickdroid compare to cleanrom? Which one do you prefer?
I actually prefer trickrom with the mods zip. It is much more customizable.

So it seems all international ROMs have some issues in regards to the AT&T setup. With Trickdroid, Android revolution, Renovate etc. you can select AT&T during Aroma, but you are left with issues. My main main issues is not able to use the native hotspot function. How do you guys work around this? Do you use other alternatives for the hotspot or do you just install the international setup?
I'm running this on my AT&T One, no issues, hotspot works.

I'm curious as to what happened in my situation. I live in a thriving LTE location where anywhere I go I get full LTE strength. When I first got the device, as stated, I had full LTE signal everywhere I went. After a few days I flashed TrickDroid (and have flashed every update henceforth) and just completely lost my LTE connectivity. I absolutely love TrickDroid, but the best signal I get now is HDSPA+ and I've been searching far and wide to figure out why I have this problem. Other AT&T users that have flashed TrickDroid report no effect on LTE capabilities.

that's awesome. Even the S4 are the same but I don't know if the roms are compatible with the US variants of the S4.

The S4s are not the same. The US variants use Snapdragon 600 the international ones use Exynos

Hopefully someone will make a way to do it now... I would really like it to just be stock HTC no at&t stuff and to be able to update with the HTC software and not have to worry about at&t approving it

I am debating similar question too, trying to decide which of the following I should flash/wait to flash
1. Developer Edition (support by HTC directly, but so far stuck on 4.12)
2. International Stock Rom (support by HTC directly, has 4.22, not sure if OTA will work even with SuperCID or correct CID since we are in US?)
3. Nexus Edition (support by Google, which means updates will be fast and furious, but no Sense 5)
I know SuperCID will let you whatever rom you want, but will OTA work with superCID? or we need to set CID to match the rom for OTA to work?
S-Off'd and successfully RUU'd the Developer Edition on my AT&T One!

Has anyone noticed any issued with the dev edition rom running on at&t or is it all in my head? I feel like my reception is weaker (at least it shows weaker) Do they run a different algorithm for service than at&t?
Go to settings and look at signal strength. Bars lie..

ROM Request - T-Mobile base

Apologies in advance. I've never done this before.
I was just wondering if it would be possible to get a GSM Sense 5 ROM based off of the T-Mobile HTC One. We have them for the Sprint version.
The reason I ask is because of WiFi calling.
If not, no big dea.
inb4 do it yourself.

So I read up on this because this sounded like something i would really like to achieve as the international has already recieved 4.2.2.
Ive researched a bit and I was just curious if what I've read is actually true. My theory is that since both devices , international and at&t , both have roms for the 4.1.2 firmware then i may flash my phone to run the actual international versions firmware 4.1.2 thus then letting me upgrade to 4.2.2. This is actually be possible on my at&t HTC one 32 GB ? I believe this is true but are there actual proof of xda devs running this? Thanks for the help guys i don't know what the heck I would do without this awesome community of Devs and modders.

You don't need to flash the international 4.1.2 you can flash 4.2.2

Not for nothin, but 4.2.2 hasn't been released. The custom ROMS based on it are using a leaked base

Bad Boyz in the house ;)

looks like the ATT M9 forums are as dead as the other carriers one of our team members @chas123 just switched to ATT, so we had to build a ROM based on official ATT ROM instead of INTL, Marshmallow to follow!
do most users use INTL ROMs?
yeah i using viper one rom. i converted my AT&T m9 to developer edition and flashed that rom. i noticed there is no development for AT&T switching from sprint.
i will say one thing. this M9 sure is a dud for development.
The m9 in general has been dead the whole time for the most part, I think most m8 owners didn't see it worth upgrading. If I knew then what I know now I would have gone with the S6. ATT blows

our ROM being ATT stock based most likely has volte working, maybe @chas123 can confirm...
Hi OMJ! Long time no talk. I also switched over to AT&T awhile ago. Hope things are well.
