[Q] 27112013 CM 10.2 - Echo through headset - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
I am currently using the i9300 and I am having echo problems through my headset. The person calling me can hear there voice when I have the wired headset within inline mic on I have tried disabling noise suppression but it hasn't worked. I am running:
i9300 (International)
Cyanogenmod 10.2 - 27112013 Nightly
Skully Candy Smokin' Buds earbuds.
The echo only occurs with the headset. Bluetooth, speaker and normal earpiece are fine.
I'm noob, so any help would be great.

Try to disable DSP effects. If the problem persists, then the problem would be a faulty headset.

Hi I tried what you said it didn't work. But thank you for suggesting it.
I have flashed stock i9300 4.3 from Sammobile and the echo problem has stopped. It appears to be a problem with the latest Cyanogenmod. I have no idea how to provide feedback to them so they can take a look at it.
I am currently using the BTU (UK) version of Android 4.3 and there are no echo issues.

You can still use CM Jira to report issues with CM. However, Jira accepts bug reports only for M/RC/Stable builds only, not Nightlies.

A its not the latest JB .
B possible faulty flash .
C Try a later firmware .
What do you use to measure the bass output .
D Try all the numerous sound modifications posted on XDA .
E JB is of course not released by Samsung you are using a test rom .

[Q] Bluetooth Audio distorted on Custom Roms

I have a problem with Custom ROM's Bluetooth.
I have tried CM10, AOKP and SuperNexus.
With all ROM's there is a problem with Bluetooth (Audio distorted) with my Car System (BMW).
With all Samsung based ROMS (Stock and Omega) all works fine.
Now i tried it with a dual boot environment (SiyahKernel S3 v1.7rc1) -> but same error
has anyone an idea?

[Q][CM 10.1][Galaxy S3 i9300] Problem with outgoing calls

Hello everybody,
I flashed my phone (i9300) with CM 10.1 RC and everything was good, except one thing: it's dropping outgoing calls every time you try to make one, without any message. Other thing are working perfectly: SMS, incoming calls, internet connection but not outgoing calls. So I've decided to experiment with rom's versions and flashed it with nightly release (same problem), M snapshot (same problem) and when I flashed with stable 9.1 version the ability to make outgoing calls came back, but I've got a lot of other problems (like anoying message "Android keyboard stopped working", and home button not responding). So I've desided to come back to CM 10.1 RC with outgoing calls problem.
Someone have any idea how to fix it? Please help.
Thank you!
what f/w was your phone on before flashing cm 10.1?
It was on stock official firmware.

[Q] Problems with car connection and my i9300 on 4.4.4

Hello I'm a bit of a noob on the ROMS. I've managed to update my Galaxy SIII (I9300) with some custom roms after a friend of mine rooted my phone. I've tried several different ROMS like CarbonRom 20140713, ArchiDroid 2.5.1, Dirty Unicorns(4.4.4_20140707) LiquedSmooth(20140708) and SaberMod (20140728) and all seems to have problems with making a phone call. As the sound of my in car radio of my toyota auris full hybrid is distorted to the level that a phone call isn't posible. As all of them seem to be 4.4.4 based I think that it's inside the master software of wich all of those custom roms seem to be based (can someone confirm this?). The only rom that works is Android Revolutions (SGS3_52.0) but that seems 4.3 based. Does anyone else has this problem? Is this the right forum to post this question? And what to do as 4.4.4 has some nice features with the wifi connection that I like. Also before rooting the samsung original software worked fine with my inside car system.
Also a strange thing I've removed the bluetooth pairing each time and with the Android revolution I have to fill in a pin code. With all the 4.4.4 versions the connection doesn't ask for a pin code (wich for my car is btw 0000).
I hope someone can help me with a solutions.
Greetings Michael

[Q] Bluetooth issues based on Kernel or on application level?

Hi ,
yesterday I tried to use my I9300 (Blisspop 4.0.1 + Boeffla-Kernel) with my cars hands-free unit.
The prblem was, that if I called someone, the connection was very bad. Just noise and no chance to understand what the other was saying.
On the other hand, when I received a call, everything was ok.
My question now is, where do I have to search for the solution?
Is such a bluetooth issue based on the kernel I use (so I can try a different one) or is it based in an application module (so Blisspop is the root cause)?
And if I have to update the Kernel, how do I do this?
Just flashing the new Kernel or do I have to perform a full flash including the application SW?
Regards,
Dodger
