How to root Toshiba AT300-SE - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello! I am new to the forums and the whole android bussiness, so I apologize in advance for anything I've done wrong I am looking to root my Toshiba AT300-SE, which runs on Android 4.1.1. I would prefer a "safe" root process, as I want it to be rooted only to play some apps and not actually changing the software of the device. Thanks in advance!

noob questions

hi all, i am new to this part of XDA. i am enquiring about the archos 70 250gb tablet i have just bought.
i am used to flashing android ROMS on various android phones and of course the 1st thing i wanted to do after buying my new toy was to root is asap!!
can anyone tell me what is the best root method for the 2.4.1.9 firmware, can i use urukdroid 1.6?
also, is there a way to change the icons on the device? eg i use shorter cut on my android phones to change the icons but cant use shorter cut on the archos as it doesnt work, any ideas?
thanks in advance
Welcome! My first suggestion for root would be check the development page. It is all laid out there. If you don't find it with in a few min use the search. I personally suggest installing the SDE from the archos site. Good luck and happy hacking!

How to ROOT a Vodafone/Lenovo SmartTab II 10?

Hello, XDA!
As the title says, I'm looking for a way to root this device and possibly upgrade it to 4.4 (or 4.2 at least) since it is stuck on 4.0.3 and that is limiting my app support.
So far, I've been trying a few "click to root" apps, but to no avail. Searching more on XDA, I found a thread about a similar device, but the tutorial doesn't seem to be clear/finished, and I'm worried about breaking my device since not many have tested that.
Is there any hope for this tablet?
Thank you very much!

Help with rooting Blu advance 5.0 HD

Hello, I would like to root my blu advance 5.0 Hd, but I have no idea where to start. This is my first time rooting, so I dont fully understand all of the softwares/terms involved, so I don't know what to do. I would like to root my device so that I can delete the pre-installed google apps, and possibly make my phone faster (I dont want to install a custom rom). How would I do this with this device, since I've tried manay tutorials online to no avail.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
