So our device is added in the list of devices that are gonna update to 6.0 .... What do you think when is our moto gonna get the update?
I think that E will get update in February but the rolling out will be very slow like 5.1.
Sorry for my english

The update looks promising
No 6.0 for US phones. Hoping for a Surnia port, since I use the phone as a mp3 player and not as a phone.
I am not even have received the 5.1!!
Bring on the marshmallow update before end of January. ;]

I have shift my rom to cyanogenmod after motorola chose to ditch this phone last few months. Not to mention cyanogen releases monthly security updates for my dear beloved surnia. If the update looks promising I might shift to stock rom again. Anyway for me this is just a bonus. And there is still a doubt on my mind we might get this update because of what happened to our long gone Android 5.1 only the US variant enjoyed this update.
Yeah I got 5.1.1 update now!!!

Hi I am currently using a Samsung A3 2016 (UK version). It's my first Samsung phone ever so I have no idea of Samsung's track record with update rollouts. How long does it usually take for Sumsung to rollout a software release to the European markets? I see that the UAE version has been released 10 days ago and so far there is only one more country version available....
Thanks for your reply...

Hi!
Updates are random and unexpected most of the time with Samsung so it's hard to estimate when you'll get your update. Samsung don't usually do a good job of keeping phones up to date with software, so you might expect a update in a week or 2 (or even more) depending on your carrier and how they roll updates out.
thanks!
i thought rollout will going on, but Samsungs sucks. Bad...

So six weeks after the 6.0.1 firmware was made available in one country it seems that the roll-out has covered only two more countries....

What happened to this rom? Works beautifully.
Never mind. I found it.

No there is no bug and it works better than any ROM up here. It is CM13, hopefully you know what that looks like.

I am sorry to say that the above CM13 ROM does not have VoLTE calling. Of all the ROMs released so far, Official and Unofficial, only Indian 16s ROM works the best and has fixed issues like VoLTE call, SMS IMS registration and fingerprint sensor responsiveness.

For those in India. The US version of 16s also has VoLTE AND WIFI calling for the US users. Apparently this does not work in India though. However if you want CM ROM, this one has worked best for me.

Actually VoLTE calling is there since 15s on all the three US, Indian and Chinese ROMs. But Indian 16s is the first ROM to truly fix the calling issues with seamless LTE band switching. US and Chinese 16s don't do that.
I don't have any issues with switching here in the US.

Hi all, I keep checking almost everyday but my Nexus 6P says there are no new updates, the system is 7.1.1 and January 5th 2017 security patch.
A friend of mine has her 6P on Android 7.1.2 and June security update.
What should I do to get my OTA and update my device?

Well did you unlock your bootloader or anything? Maybe try factory resetting and check the about and software update section. Also, this should probably be in the Q&A section not general but too late now.
Well no, nothing at all, my device is as out of the box. Never rooted, unlocked or something like that even though this is not new to me.
I got it in January, and never got an update since than.
Is there something easier than factory reset? Something that doesn't require a backup and wiping my data?

I honestly don't know. Your best option is likely a factory reset or maybe call Google or Huawei about the problem.
Today, before posting here, I chatted with support.google.com\nexus employee who told me to try a reboot in safe mode, than normal mode again (and nothing changed) and than to wait for my device to find the update itself.
Not very useful.

If you have a SIM from a different carrier handy you can pop that in. It doesn't even have to be activated. Once you see the new carrier in the notification bar, shutdown and put your SIM back in. Now you should get an OTA almost immediately. This has worked for me.

A Sim card from different carrier?
I'll give it a try, otherwise I've found out that I can sideload an OTA update using adb without wiping my data or unlocking the bootloader.
I could sideload the August OTA and it should unlock my phone and get the future updates.
I'll try the easier carrier-thing first.

Try that method and if it didn't work then you can always do an OTA sideload, which does not wipe your data.

I just switched back my sim card from another carrier and nothing happens.
After manually checking for updates it keeps saying my Nexus is up to date.

I've just sideloaded the 7.1.2 August 5th update.
After the adb process my Nexus 6P rebooted and was stuck on the Google logo for something like 5 mins, I litteraly sh****d myself until the homescreen came up.. XD
I don't know if the problem is solved, if the Nexus will get the next update on his own, but for now is up to date.
