Hello,
When using the default email client that comes with Android to connect to corporate email, the client forces me to use PIN based security which is a hassle. So I used DroidMail and that way I was able to access corporate email without the security hassles. However, the same doesn't work for calendar. I was wondering as to what I should do to sync my outlook calendar to the my default calendar app on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 or maybe I could go for a completely different calendar app?

Hi.
I use Lotus Traveler to show my work mail and calendar. For my personal activities I use Google Calendar.
The problem is that I cant seem to be able to show them both in the same app. I know it is possible to sync the Lotus Calendar with my Google Calendar, but this has to many drawbacks so no thanks.
Does anybody know any app that allows me to import Lotus Calendar, multiple Google Calendars and show them both in a monthly view?

I don't think this is exactly what you're looking for, but this is what I use:
http://lngooglecalsync.sourceforge.net/
Thanks. The problem with that is that calendar entries added to lotus notes on my phone wont display untill I turn on the computer and sync them. Plus the security issues with giving google access to my work calendar...
Just want an overview so that I can see all entries at once without sync..
Did anyone found a way to get all calendar entries from Lotus traveler(sync) inside android calendar without using any pc software?
so i screwed up and got a windows 8 machine (sony tap20) anyhow its past end of life for google sync but i need to sync outlook calendar with my google calendar, prefer ota like it used to be
help!
Set up a new Mail account using the Windows 8 mail client and select Other, not Gmail. Use m.google.com for the server. After it connects and syncs, go into (charm bar) Settings for that account. You should see the options checked to sync mail, contacts, and calendar. One restriction is it will only sync you main calendar, it will not sync multiple calendars.
I configured a new account to sync my work email and calendar. This results in me being able to use the stock email app, as email syncs fine, but only some calendar entries are synced. I've tried clearing the cache/data, deleting and setting up the account again, to no avail.
If I use a mail client like Touchdown or Nine, that apparently have their own EAS sync engines, then the calendar does sync fully.
What I'm looking for is an app that just provides the EAS service, that would allow me to use the stock email and calendar apps, but I can only find those mentioned above that also have email clients (and calendar for Touchdown) integrated with them.
I'm on a rooted Nexus 4.4.2

I've had a look but couldn't find the answer ?
How do I get the default calendar app (or another simple app) to sync with Outlook.com calendars?
I want to be able to add events that will add to Outlook by default.
I've added my Outlook.com address as an IMAP account. Should I have chosen the Exchange account?
On a slightly separate note, will adding it as Exchange account allow me to have push notifications?
Thanks
Not sure about push notification, but adding an Exchange account on your phone would make your default calendar app sync with Outlook.com. You can even sync your desktop Outlook calendar with your phone's calendar app if your email provider has Exchange feature. If not, try something like Akruto.
Or you can also try to add Outlook.com account and see what will happen.
I've added my outlook.com at out as an exchange account but still nothing populated in the default calendar ?
Have you tried adding your Outlook.com address as Outlook.com account in your phone's settings?
You can also use AkrutoSync to sync Outlook with Android devices.
Hi all, new here and since Microsoft Outlook mail claims it's a Samsung issue and Samsung never answers, I hope anyone here knows what to do.
I use Outlook mail, and I had it always installed on my Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 mail app. It automatically synced my contacts and calendar also on the Samsung stock apps. Very convenient.
Now, however, it stopped working. I tried reinstalling it, but it constantly gives the message that it cannot connect to the server. I CAN set it up as IMAP, but that's obviously not what I want as it won't sync contacts and calendar.
After Microsoft claimed it was a Samsung problem I tried to set up the Outlook account via active exchange sync in the (terrible) Gmail app. Same result: cannot connect to the server.
I have used various configuration settings, incl. manual set up (eas.outlook.com, m.hotmail.com, etc.) and obviously the password is correct.
The Outlook app I now had to install does not sync calendars and contacts, by Outlooks own admission (seriously....?) so that's no option.
I want to simply connect my Samsung stick apps again to active exchange sync as it has always done. And Microsoft says its not them...
Anyone has any suggestion?
thanks!
