dude which kernel are you using? try to flash a custom kernel like thunder kernel or rafueals kernels and check the network again... i recommend you to use thunderkernel as it gives you more performance than that of baugis one

Yes you can do this using dsixda's kitchen. Get the ROM you want and add the CSC and modem and then build the ROM. I have done this to use here.

You can flash the modem in recovery but the CSC is part of the ROM.

After reading some forums I think I screwed up. Baseband is XXEMG4. IMEI is the same as appear in the back of my phone (I searched for it dialing *#06#). I don't know what to do to fix it. Sometimes I get signal but when I try to call it says that im not registered in the network. My phone is rooted but before upgrading I didnt backup the EFS. I factory reset it and nothing. Is the anything I can do?
I have signal but can't register to the network! But then the signal is lost and then comes back. Also can't call.
Please help me, I would appreciate a lot!!

if you have imei correct , efs folder is not corrupct
i have here one gs3 with the same problem - i think upload OTA with firmware mg4 itv and baseband mg4
i flashed firmware again with odin -
now is with my wife for test
OTA update sometime get error
if not work is possible try to change modem(baseband)

you can try to flash with odin , again
for change modem
1- open any firmware with winrar and extract "modem.bin" in your desktop
2- you can flash modem.bin in PHONE with odin
edit- firmware mg4 change efs partition - is not possible flash old modem but only mgX series
only with backup efs folder is possible downgrade

i'm from india and i flashed XXEMG4 the day it was released and after some days i was unable to make calls and was also unable to text people randomly! then i just flashed the indian f/w XXEMG5 and then the problem is no more! flash XXEMG5 via odin and check the result. if you face the problem again, flash the f/w-s that are released after MG4.

my s3 after reflash firmware mg4 with odin all working fine.
if you have a backup efs folder you can flash rom custom and use old modem
if you don't have a backup efs , if you flash another rom custom ,you need to flash mg4 modem

Is your device carrier unlocked originally? Or unlocked later? (i bet for the second version)
Anyway, try to restore efs and modem, and flash an AOSP/CM based rom (which has no modem.bin or modem.img inside the zip, its important! check it before flash).
If the signal come back, and you can make phone calls, then post your baseband version.

the point is don't let the rom installer change the modem:
check in the updater-script file for modem change line, and delete it,
or delete the modem.bin from the zip
or change your patched modem in the zip
and after the rom, flash the boeffla kernel that fits to this rom's android version from here : http://www.boeffla-kernel.de/

as i wrote before: modifying the updater script in the META-INF\com\google\android\ folder is the easiest way, or replace your patched modem file in the zip

Try the GNA8 modem if you have v2 efs (http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/general/ref-galaxy-s3-modem-radio-collection-t1740061) It should be working (make an efs backup first!) BTW. use edit for tidy thread

Yes it's really improtant! There is stored your IMEI and if it get corrupt you won't be able to connect to network! Good for you. I only manage to flash the CSC one which clean flash my phone. Home CSC get stuck on something .img.

The theory is just flash Home_CSC instead of the CSC one. You'll get 4 files from sammobile, but need only 3. Choose the home_CSC will not delete data. But as I mentioned above, my S9+ got stuck with Home_CSC so I have to flash the CSC ones. But @alimokhtarabadi successfully flash with Home_CSC, good luck to you.
