I upgraded my GT-P7510 (p4wifi) from 4.1 to 4.2.2 and recently to PAC_Infamous 4.3 ROM. All was working well but I had very little free storage due to the Misc group being 10.09GB and appearing to include a duplicate of my SDcard storage (~8GB) I was advised I should have wiped all my data before flashing the ROM as the storage setup changed between 4.1 and 4.2.2
I'm afraid I should have waited 'till I was fully awake. I made the mistake of formatting the SDcard in my hope to have the cleanest start - and of course I lost my 2 zip files (as well as everything else)
I can still start up CWM (v6.0.1.5) and I have tried the sideload .zip route. I have Minimal ADB and Fastboot installed on Win7Pro and when I do 'adb devices' command I see 'C4F12871..... sideload' result in the list of devices attached.
When I do 'adb sideload filename.zip' I get - failed to write data 'protocol fault (no status)'
Any advice on what to do now? Could I use fastboot to push an image file (but I can't find one for P7510/16!)?
I do have the Samsung interface to SD adapter and I have tried putting the ROMs (PAC + gapps) on an SD card via this adapter. However, CWM can't see the external SD card so I still can't flash the ROMs
Can anyone please help this noob out of his hole?
Try 'adb push xxx.zip /sdcard/your/folder'

Very many thanks for the prompt reply. I did as said with the push just sending the .zip files to /sdcard
The main ROM took 207secs and the gapps took 114sec.
When I went back to CWM to try to flash the ROM there were no files found. I looked at the log but I don't fully understand it.
I have attached a picture of the log output. The top part (above No Files found.) was after restarting CWM and the lower part after trying to file the .zip files.
Can you help again?
Best wishes,
Stuart
Sorry, but I can't help you with that. My suggestion would be to reflash stock ICS again, flash the latest cwm (you're on a older version), then flash the ROM.
About the file system, if your files did not automatically move, then move it from /data/media to /data/media/0.

Once again many thanks. Your are the GREATEST! I updated CWM but the real thing was I used /sdcard as the push destination and not /sdcard/
My Tablet is now rebooting the PAC 4.3 ROM.

For all you Shotputterz heres the factory image we've been waiting for
assuming you have debug mode enabled, ADB and fastboot working properly
EDIT 1: REUP'D CWM mod
EDIT 2: reordered process to make more sense
Method:
1. Download the Beta CWM mod from rootzwikis credit to birdman EDIT:REUP'ED http://d-h.st/Fdp
2. Using fastboot, DO NOT FLASH Clockwork mod just use the syntax
"fastboot boot 'File path of clockwork mod image'
Note* this will boot directly into the recovery without permanently writing to the recovery and boot partition on the eMMC on the Nexus Qs board
3. Download the posted CWM factory backup posted
4. make the directory on the device and adb push the backup folder (unzipped) to /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup while in CWM recovery
*The device should show up in "adb devices" while in the CWM recovery*
5. *TEXT WILL BE REALLY SMALL! Now navigate with the Scroll wheel to backups and restore and tap the mute button to select.
*IF SOMETHING IS SELECTED IN ERROR THERE IS NO BACK BUTTON JUST REBOOT AND REDO FASTBOOT BOOT*
6. Now select restore and select the image folder
7.blah blah CWM Freaking MAGIC
8. Your Q is back to factory state
If someone wants to PM me or show me how to package this in a nicer CWM zip to install with a script let me know

*Note* I am NOT responsible if you brick your already bricked Nexus Q*
You sir get a beer, since my 2nd (dev) Q won't arrive until later this week, and mine was a shot put until this post.

No unfortunately it didn't--I blew away all partitions other than bootloader so I can't, to my knowledge at least, push the zip since I can't adb.
I've got factory recovery, boot, system imgs but the system img won't push out because of fastboot's apparent inability to handle files that large (1GB exactly I believe).
...I guess I have to patiently await my second Q but the point of having two was to *use* one and have one for dev... rather than have one as a heavy reminder of my overzealous endeavors...
Hopefully I can give it more time while on this SF trip...
Boot into the cwm bootloader with fastboot without flashing. Adb will be enabled and you can push files the files while your in adb recovery. Try that and flash it.

The problem I'm having is that ADB is not responding from CWM... at least not on a Windows machine. The drivers are fine as ADB was working in normal mode before my issue sprung up.
EDIT: As suspected Virtual Ubuntu on a Win host didn't see the device, Physical Ubuntu had no issue. NQ reloaded.

Can we do this by say pushing the file to the download folder and then installing from zip?
And i know slightly off topic but once we've installed some apks for example, what's currently the best interface to use to navigate through the apps and use them?
How do I make a directory on Nexus Q

In step 2 you say make a directory for the file that is posted below. How do I create a directory on the Nexus Q? Currently my Q is stuck in a bootloop after trying to launch CWM from a Galaxy Nexus. If you could post command codes that would be awesome!
I figured it out. You can just follow step #4 and in CWM you can push the CWM Factory img to the /sdcard/Download/ folder and use CWM to unzip and launch.

ok this is really bothering me, i've restored with this factory image several times, and I have to do it again right now and I cannot seem to push this file folder to /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup
what am i doing wrong..
it should be:
adb push NexusQFactoryImage /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/ (assuming the file is in same folder as adb which it is)
that's it right.... the extracted folder contents in a folder.. not the zip.. so i dont understand why this is not working. Everytime I go to CWM and try to restore it tells me nothing to restore...
what really bothers me is that i've done this a hundred times, and never had this problem..

BUMP.. stuck in CWM unable to get a restorable file.. no idea why...
Download OneClickRestore (it's the factory image straight from Google with the needed fastboot files included)
Extract zip to OneClickRestore
Unplug Nexus Q
Plug in Nexus Q and place hand on it til the leds turn red then remove hand
Launch "flash-all.bat" from the OneClickRestore folder
You may need to do a full reset, it's hit or miss
Another option is push & flash (Nexus Q)uantum Singularity Project RTS ROM from CWM and again may need to hard reset.

The problem with putting Quantum singularity project on is that I can't turn on ADB debug, because i use a bluetooth mouse and keyboard, don't have an OTG mouse/keyboard, so somehow I need to be able to connect with adb to setup a bluetooth connected mouse/keyboard
I was thinking to install stock image, and then without wiping install Quantum SIngularity Project over top to preserve the settings for usb debug, on.
what's confusing to me is that i've restored the stock image many times before, and never had a problem.. that's why im wondering what the problem is.. if im typing something wrong.
I used the OneClickRestore as you said, and im just booting it up now
EDIT: didn't get past boot logo, i'll try again
So just to confirm this OneClickRestore is loading the stock nexus Q img right? I've never used it before I usually manually do it
EDIT: still stuck at the nexus q logo before home screen
do you see any error in my commands of trying to push the stock img folder (original post) to "/sdcard/clockworkmod/backup" ? I've done it many times before never had a problem

I think the reason your post has not been answered is because we don't know exactly what you're asking. Also most answers are already posted. You just have to search and read them.
I'm not sure what you're doing myself, but I think you need to use Odin to flash CWM recovery and then use that recovery to flash ROMs, kernels, etc...
Since I really don't know what you're trying to do, you need to make sure what I said is REALLY what you need to do. By searching and reading you will find your answer.

One of the partitions on your tablet is mounted as /mnt/sdcard (or /sdcard). You normally push files there using USB from your computer, either using "adb push" or mounting the sdcard as a media device on the computer.
Stock recovery does not let you choose a file from the /sdcard directory. I think the errors you're seeing is that the stock recovery isn't finding the files it's looking for.
You'll need to install Clockwork Mod recovery if you want to flash custom ROMs.
Galaxy Tab doesn't have an SD Card slot, so anything with external storage/mounting USB/ etc won't work in recovery. Flashing a ROM is possible because the data partition is read and treated as SD Card. If you need to add something to your tab via USB while it's in recovery, you'll need to use the Android Debug Bridge and type adb push, then the file, then the destination.
Example:
Code:
adb push rom.zip /sdcard/
What is this?
These are pre-rooted Stock ROM Base's for Developer to use to create modified stock ROMs or for the average Joe to restore their device's to working order if they are stuck in a bootloop. You must have an unlocked bootloader and a working Custom Recovery to use this.
Downloads:
T-Mobile / Retail US - 139.11.6 - Odex ***Tested, will not go past the boot logo.
Instructions:
Put the .zip on your internal storage.
Boot up to your Custom Recovery of choice (example: Clockworkmod Recovery).
Make a complete backup of your device using the Custom Recovery, and store that backup on a computer or alternative storage.
Wipe data using the Custom Recovery.
Mount system using the Custom Recovery.
Format system using the Custom Recovery.
Install the .zip from your internal storage using the Custom Recovery.
Reboot and enjoy! (If it asks to disable recovery install, tell it not to.)

I suppose that's where the problem lies? [sidenote: I always follow the instructions in OP for flashing your ROM i.e wipe data, mount system, format system, just thought I'd mention I'm not taking any shortcuts]
I dunno when I flash the ROM it does it a little too fast (under 5s?)... faster than it took my N4 to flash a 96MB Rom lol. I wonder if it's writing to system at all.
It did that for me on the first rom, I don't know if Matt put something in the build prop to differentiate it from the stock rom

Once an OTA update comes out for any Moto X variant we'll have a much better idea of the META-INF folder as a whole. In the meantime everyone feel free to keep playing with it to try to get it to work right. Making small updater-script changes to re-upload the entire ROM.zip is a huge pain. Soon enough we'll have the Dev Edition and more Developers will be joining us to get everything squared away.
Thanks testers!

Just to be sure you have no way to reflash any firmware?
Else try to connect your tab to your computer and use adb even if your system bootloop. Try to install adb and push your missing files.
I doubt that there are no firmwares to download.
If they havr used the same boot like archos. The mount of the sdcard depend of the initramfs (ramdisk) not the OS.

It's not in a boot loop it just hangs at "bootanimation" (If you'd call it that I know I wouldn't) and wham stays like this forever.
Oh and another problem.
Code:
adb shell

Can't push files from recovery because I need to mount /system. I can't do that because adb shell isn't working.

Make sure the MD5 checksum of the ROM .zip you downloaded matches the file on your SD card.
Also, wasn't there an issue with a certain version of TWRP not flashing from an external SD card and the fix was just flashing an updated version? So also make sure you have the right version of TWRP on the device.

Do you have md5 checked? Uncheck it if you do.

Copy a working rom to where your adb and fastboot are located connect phone via twrp run this command
adb push nameofrom.zip /sdcard/. exactly as shown here change nameofrom.zip to the name of the rom your trying to flash...this will put a rom on your internal storage and it then can be flashed via twrp
