There's a particular battery icon style (in the status bar, I mean) that I like, but only see in certain ROMs. It's the standard ICS/ JB style battery, but it has the battery percentage written inside it. I've seen this on AOKP and a handful of other ROMs, but there are some other ROMs I'd like to try out that don't appear to have this icon style built in. Is there any way to have this icon style regardless of the ROM, or is it going to be entirely dependent on what ROM I'm using?

Xposed Framework has a ton of battery mods available for it.

Hey I've noticed on lots of peoples phones they have this mod in their upper status bar which shows the numbered percentage left on the battery instead of the green bar the only thing I could find showing percent is a separate widget. Could somebody instruct me on how I could do this on my phone myself without using a pre-made rom?
If you are rooted go to UOT kitchen and you can make your own mod.
Or have a look through the first few pages of http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1059 taking note of ones which start with [MOD] and contain the word battery.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a CM10.1 or AOKP theme where the only thing that changes from stock is that the status bar icons, specifically signal, battery and wifi are white instead of Holo blue? Either that or a theme that replaces the status bar with MIUI bar icons but maintains the rest of the UI would be great as well. I tried one called HoloWhite, as well as a couple other minimalistic ones, but with those some of the icon styles changed.

Looking for exactly the same thing... Did you guys find anything
I would also like this. Still haven't found anything.......
@rosswhite @oae08 @krackerjac @bcparker
This works: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2318311
Also flash the Paranoid android icon zip (page4) if you have trouble with default icons of your rom.
Try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1918500
also wondering if anyone has found this. dont want to deal with Xposed or anything like that either....and would prefer to have it in a theme chooser app as I switch ROM's from time to time. If anyone has a stock theme .apk i could modify it, but i just can't find one. the CM10.2 template is completely different from stock.
sorry to bring this back from the dead.
I'm looking for that white icon them too...
Is there anyway to get a transparent status bar on the stock rom? i am rooted so thats not a problem
Xposed framework (? Google that) will allow you to have a transparent status bar.
transparent statusbar
Install cleanrom and then use this;

Download and install Xposed Framework: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
Then you need to download this module, which will show up inside of Xposed Framework: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1629653
There is an option for status bar colors, you can do whatever colors you want to or do transparency.
And after all that your status bar will look like crap when opening anything with a white background like the one you'll type on to reply to this .. lol

Hes right about this, it will look like ****. Its a transparent background, whatever background your app has your status bar will too.
I would do 50% transparency, that one looks fine.
EDIT: Another option. You can flash my theme say, "yes" to, "are you using clean rom?" Then select 100% or 50% transparency. You can skip the whole theme and just apply those mods, those mods will work just fine because its based on clean rom and he doesnt do heavy modifications. YOU MUST select a battery style though because I made it so all the mods contain 100% increment batteries. If you dont select a battery then your battery will disappear.

Just wondering if there's even any who had already managed to mod the battery icons in stock KitKat ROMs?
The battery icon images are not there anymore in SystemUI and the stat_sys_battery/battery_charge xmls aren't there either. Could be hard-coded already or something, I got no clue LoL
Missing those fancy icons already

In KitKat 4.4, battery icons are drawn by program in SystemUI.apk, rather than image icons. You can still find battery icons and two xml files in framework-res.apk. However, they are not working for status bar.
Until now, I have not seen any report showing changing color of battery icons. This is also my interest.
The status bar at the top is so small the app notification icons are way to small. Is there a way to make it bigger or go back to AOSP without changing ROMs?
No, there's an xposed mod called 'immersed status bar' for MIUI but I believe that only changes things like the signal strength indicators and the like.
I would like to know that, too. There must be a solution. I've seen a video but it was very complicated
