In CM 10.2 the long click behaviour of the Mobile Data QuickSetting Tile is changed - compared to CM 10. Instead of opening "Mobile Network Settings", it opened the "Data Usage".
I found this quite annoying as I often use this for enabling/disabling the Data Roaming setting.
So I have created a modified SystemUI.apk, for CM 10.2, that opens "Mobile Network Settings" on long click Mobile Data QuickSetting Tile. You are very welcome to use it
Simply download and copy into /system/app using root explorer or insert into a flashable zip and flash using CWM.

is there a working widget that toggles the mobile data on the atrix?
Give 3g watchdog a go
Pretty good for watching your data usage as well
IIRC you should be able to disable 3g from the wireless and networks page inside the android settings menu
Swyped from my captivate
The quickest way I found is if you add a Launcherpro shortcut -> Activities -> Data Manger -> the first choice under this selection (DataManagerAppPreferenceActivity). This links to Data Delivery preferences and you can enable or disable mobile data

oh! i have found the answer:
1. go to settings > interface > notification drawer
2. enable the power widget option first
3. select the widget buttons > toggle 2G/3G > go further down until "Button Modes" > Network Modes > choose 2G/3G Only/3G+2G
4. done
when u slide down the notification drawer tap multiple times and u can see that it will change to 2G/3G , 2G or 3G
Is it possible to create a shortcut for network preferences in home screen

Try "notification toggle " from play store. It puts whatever toggle ya want on status bar. Or u can try apps like "switch pro". They make widgets.
Having a small but annoying issue here.
I find that if I turn on wifi with widgets or quickpanel in SystemUI, the wifi will take very long, or sometimes never auto connect. However, opening up settings and pressing scan results in instant connection.
Thanks in advance.
I don't have your issue and I use a notification panel created by the Power Toggles. (this was not an advertising message)
Try to create a shortcut to the WI-FI settings by:
- long press on 'desktop'
- select 'Shortcuts'
- scroll to the 'Settings shortcut', click on it;
- scroll to the 'Wi-Fi'
I know this is not so fancy like a widget or another setting app, but should be more quickly to access and I think is a workaround for your issue.
This very annoying removal of the quick toggle I am trying to find a workaround, everytime there is a new android version I have to fight with feature removals.
I thought this would be simple using tasker but in tasker the 2g/3g mobile data toggle function is red, marked as unavailable on my device.
It can still be toggled but only manually navigating deep inside the settings menu. It seems tho a quick toggle API function is removed.
Any app/tasker guide to work around this? as I suspect this can still be done via tasker but instead having to make it call the menu function instead.
