I think it should work with any rom that uses samsung base, that give you quite a lot of options. AFAIK it's just the aosp and aokp roms that don't support tv out.

[Q] Why are there no vanilla Android 5.1 ROMs?

This is something I've always wanted for my G3, a vanilla ROM that's always up to date with the latest Android version, but without any "extras" and "features" seen in typical ROMs. I don't like having to deal with frequent ROM updates that add new features/create new problems. I just want a clean ROM that works like a Nexus device.
Why does this not exist?
(If it already exists I have not come across it yet)

When you say vanilla I'm assuming you mean AOSP, in that case we do have cm12.1, but I don't know if that's what you mean when it comes to "frequent ROM updates"
But if you're asking as to why we don't have a stock 5.1 ROM, that would be because LG hasn't released a base for it yet

CM is not aosp based, it's cm based.
Yes, the argument could be made that everything starts with aosp, but AFAIK there is little true aosp left in cm, and mostly custom cm code.
As for the op,
You get what devs decide to build. Your question is borderline offensive.

Well, you could always start a stock rom, root it, and use Titanium Backup to remove any feature you don't want and arrive to a "vanilla ROM". The ROM development is a hobby for the dev, so of course there are "frequent ROM updates". By the way, LG has not released the 5.1 yet, they are still on 5.0.1 (23c).

Been using validus for days. Works great. No freezes. Don't use the features if you don't want em.

[question] Which ROM supports ANT+ ?

Hi. I am happy that my old Smultron is not dead yet.
Due to its small size, I would like to reactivate it as a bicycle computer / fitness tracker. The apps that I usually use require Lollipop as a minimum.
I seem to remember that I half-heartedly tried the same already about a year ago, but did not succeed with installing the ANT+ services from the Playstore.
Currently, I am at CM13.
Now I found that in the AOKP FAQ, it is stated:
Q: Why is ANT+ not working?
A: ANT+ developers do not support our wifi chip (wl1271) beyond JB 4.1. ANT+ will never work except if we write the needed source code changes from scratch.
That leads me to the qestion: Is this true for all ROMs, or just AOKP? Or more in general: Which ROMs supports ANT+?
Umm... noone knows this?

atvXperience vs Poison Rom

What is the difference between both ROM's? Which one is more future proof?
I'm asking because Ricky Divjakovski is working on both projects.

Yes i am working on both projects, multiple others aswell the team, im restricted from disclosing alot but i think everyone knows where the team is headed.
ATVXperience - We aim at giving users the closest and most stable experience of official Android TV firmware.
Poison Rom - A bloatless, optimized, bug fixed and UI friendly version based on the latest most efficient firmware.
ATVEperience - A more practical ROM to convert the device to a media player, and pretty much that only(ofcoarse you can do other tasks still)
Poison Rom - More of a test firmware aimed at optimizing and testing methods and tweaks to make the device as fast and as snappy as possible while also modding the UI to make it much easier to the eye
Both ROMs aim to be as universal as possible.
Both ROMs use the PoisonCompiler optimizations and tweaks.
Both ROMs implement pretty much the same bug fixes.
The difference? it all comes down to the user and their personal preference.

Some links are dead and we are in the process of making generic firmware that supports all devices
As of May 2020, what are the latest Poison Roms available for S912 devices?

LineageOS : how to ?

Hi everybody.
I was given a professionnal Galaxy S21 phone.
On the LineageOS wiki i can't find this device.
I also looked at /e/ but for no better results.
Is there still a way to have a free OS on this phone ?
How do you mean free OS? do you just mean a custom rom that's free? Then I could help.

And if you mean that you can just install GSI roms on your phone because your phone supports project treble
Here's a android 12 beta GSI ROM:
Download Android 12 Beta 3.1 GSI (Generic System Image)
Finally, the Android 12 Beta 3.1 goes live for the eligible Pixel devices after the release of beta 3 on the Google I/O 2021 Developer Conference event in
www.getdroidtips.com
1 thing YOU DON'T INSTALL IT LIKE A CUSTOM ROM! OTHERWISE IT ISN'T GOING TO WORK OR YOU WILL BRICK YOUR DEVICE
YOU NEED TO KNOW HOW TO INSTALL A GSI ROM BECAUSE IT'S A GSI ROM
And then it's perfectly okay

I don't know if your kernel is in here
Here's also a nice custom rom where you can customize almost everything
The different maps are for the different kernels so click on your kernel

You install this just like a normal custom rom

You could find many more custom roms but these were just the biggest custom roms that are supported for your device
if you want to find other ones you could maybe look around on this website
15 Best Custom ROMs for Android You Can Install
Looking for the best Android custom ROMs based on Android 10, 11, 12, or 13? Here are 15 best custom ROMs for Android you can use in 2023.
beebom.com
But you could also just search "Best custom roms" or "Best GSI roms" on google
and check if they are supported with your device (Gsi ROMS are always supported because you have project treble)
I hope this helped you!
Thanks.
I'm not sure that I understand everything though...
Free as in Free Software, so I was mostly thinking of LineageOS (since I guess Replicant isn't an option on this model), but I'm open to other propositions (as long as there's no proprietary code in them of course).

Question Sony AOSP

Hi guys, I recently found that Sony officially supports AOSP build on some devices.
https://developer.sony.com/develop/open-devices/#overview-content
However, I have some questions. Does AOSP mean "stock android"? I.e. what the Google Pixel devices are using?
As sony's own ROM does not differ much from the stock android, I really want to try it.
Has anyone succeeded the AOSP Android 13 on XQ-BC52?

AOSP means AOSP, Android in it's purest form, without google apps by default
Pixel Android is a form of stock android but stock just means official fw.
AOSP is even less feature packed, it's the bare bones android experience mainly for developers/OEM, but it's then derived into custom ROMS with other features on top of that AOSP
