The simplest way to "open" things on your device is to write (using Odin) a custom recovery - I suggest Philz Touch. Once you have that recovery installed options should "open up".

Suggest you boot to recovery format system cache data and sdcard .
Boot to download mode then flash stock ron via Odin .
Then read the faqs and guides before flashing anything .

odin will not recognice any rom package i have downloaded at all
If you flashed a rom from the i9300 forum then you may have already bricked your phone. Go to sammobile and download the latest uk rom for the i9305, then ask in the right forum.

As you are posting in the I9300 not I9305 Q&A then its possible that you also downloaded and installed I9300 firmware and bricked your device .
Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Galaxy S III I9305 (4G LTE + 2GB RAM) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Not hard is it .

This isn't a 'fix my phone because I couldn't be bothered to read' forum. So many people ask the same questions, expecting someone to write it all out each and every time.
I told you how you might be able to resolve your issue, if you can't be bothered then best go buy an iPhone.

Don't be scared
No difference between flashing CWM on 4.3 or 4.1.2
It's the same with no problems
I upgraded my I9300 to 4.3 and that's when I got the issue where in my WiFi does not work. I tried the ARIZA patch and it resolves the WiFi but my IMEI shows Unknown which causes my S3 not to recognize my SIM card and now a yellow text overlay comes up on my homescreen about my phone details, another thing is that I don't have a Power menu, S3 goes straight off when I press the power button. So I decided to downgrade to 4.1.2 but then again same problem existed which now includes back the WiFi which is not working. Please help.. :crying:
