Cases for big Headphone Jacks? - Galaxy Note 3 Accessories

I've already been through three cases that I chose to return because my headphone jack wouldnt fit far enough into the case to plug into the phone. I was just wondering if anybody else has ran into this problem, and has found a case that your headphones fit into? I'm using Audio Technica ATH-M50's.

new 3.5mm hermes audio adapters

Have a look at these new ones:
http://www.tracyandmatt.co.uk/blogs/index.php/2007/01/15/2_new_htc_headphone_adapters
HERE is the first adapter, ~16€ in Italy !! (..no comment)
9.95 on expansys.com HERE
I think the Brando adapters are better than the expansys ones, they look a bit more flexible.

Please let us know what you think of it!
Guys I have just recieved mine from brando this morning. And I have to say that I am not impressed at all! Within minutes of using it the shell of the mic fell off! I was on the train and didn't even realise untill I looked down in my hands and saw the bare connection exposed. No force at all was used it simply came off. On closer inspection it looks like it wasn't stuck together properly! Not a big problem as such. But I am still not happy with the build quality!!

Hmm interesting.
1.How long is the lead from the usb connector to the mic?
2.Have you had any feed back as to the voice quality of the mic?
3.Finally what 3.5mm headphones are using with it? (though any headphones I suspect would be an improvement over the supplied ones!! )
Sorry mate don't have a ruler at work to measure it at the moment. But at a guess i'd say probably about 45 - 50cm. But again I could be wrong as that was just an estimate! I'll check when I get home.
Haven't tested the mic on a call yet! Again will post back when I do.
I am using the Creative Labs EP-630 in ear earphones. Got to say the sound is excellent. Much better than the original ones you get with the phone. I hate using the originals they don't fit properly and they sound crap as well!
The only thing that was good about the original earphones was that the wire from the USB adaptor to the mic is quite thick. The wire on the Brando is thin, that was the first thing I noticed when I opened up the pack. It looks more delicate. And I found it impossible to attach the clip that they supply to the wire, the gap is too small and even the slightest attempt to clip it in causes marks on the wire and it feels like it will damage it.
Triple adapter
Does anyone have the first adapter with the 3 different sockets? I was just wondering if you use the 3.5mm headphone jack does the mic on the handset still work? If it does it'll be great for using in my car.
Thanks

It does NOT. The microphone is dead when the 3.5 jack is plugged in...
that just simply SUCKS!

I concur. I have the Brando product. I don't know why they even included the clip; it's impossible to attach to the wire. I tried, and the wire now has two glaring gashes in it that I've had to cover with electrical tape.
That being said, i use a set of Sony earbud earphones with it, and the sound quality is infinitely better than the original headset.
just received mine a few day ago. its just a 'not bad' thing. i'm using it with sony ericsson headset. the sounds is good enough to make me deaf.

Wired 3.5mm Headset w/ boom mic

It was surprisingly difficult for me to locate this. Outside of PC headsets, which typically have separate mic and headphone jacks, wired boom mic headsets are almost all 2.5mm. I didn't feel like messing with an adapter (one more thing to lose), and I was considering just splicing a 3.5mm jack onto a 2.5mm headset, when I found this:
It's a Cellet EP35BX. It has an answer button on the ear piece that purports wide compatibility with phones including the CDMA Touch Pro2 (I have the Verizon version). It has the boom mic, it has a detachable ear loop (for those of us who don't trust in ear earpieces to stay steady) albeit an uncomfortable looking one, claims to have some sort of wind noise reduction tech and the boom is flexible. The only two things it's missing that I would have liked is a mute button and a volume dial. If I like it enough, I may try and splice those in someday.
I realize the market for wired headsets is small, and apparently the market for wired with boom mics is even smaller, but just in case anyone else has the same hankering I did, there it is. The image is linked to the cheapest buyer I could find. He has an Amazon store too, I used his standalone store so I could pay with paypal. It's normally $15+, but at the above it's $4.80 + around 3$ shipping.

Headphones won't plug into Spigen Slim Armor Case

So I use a pair of Audio Technica ATH-M50 headphones, I have the Spigen Slim Armor Case and it's headphone port is far too small for the headphone's to be connected.
I'm looking to buy this because retailers like Raidoshack don't have anything similar.
I was wondering if anyone had the same issue and what their solution was.

You have three choices, as far as I can see.
1 Different wired headphones
2 Bluetooth wireless headphones
3 Use the Micro USB output instead.
I have used method 3 successfully. I bought a Micro USB OTG cable, a USB DAC and a headphone amplifier.
The USB DAC was the UD110 http://stoneracoustics.blogspot.co.uk/, now in a version 2 and the amplifier was a Fiio E5 http://www.amazon.co.uk/FiiO-E5-BK-E05-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B0026RJQJ6, now superseded, but there is plenty of choice on those depending on budget. The OTG was a £2 Hong Kong ebay special.
There are combo DAC and amplifier devices, such as Fiio's E07K http://www.fiio.com.cn/products/index.aspx?ID=100000012071912&MenuID=105026002 that look like they'd do the trick and be a more elegant solution than mine.
Err... make that four options;
4) drill out headphone jack hole in case to fit the jack!
Get a adapter off ebay or in best buy an extension.

[Q] Headphone port extender suggestions

Hello everyone I was wondering if anyone had any recommendation for headphone port extender?
I have a UAG and Spigen Neo-Hybrid and it's such a hassle to have to take off the the case in order to use headphones or car's aux port.
I found some on Amazon and was wondering if anyone had any good experience with this.
Here is what I found:

I had the same problem with the same case (and other cases). The jack I was using was too thick, and wouldn't fit in the case hole. I used an adapter for a while with no issues, so I think any of the ones you linked to will work. I ended up just getting a new AUX cable that has a small end, and now just use that, but thanks for the links. I may pick one or two up for safe keeping.
I had the same problem and I solved it by trimming the plastic / rubber around the base of the 3.5mm audio plug. You may not want to do that to an expensive set of headphones but audio patch cables are like $2 so I don't care if they fall apart after a while.

Stock headphones

Does anyone know where I can buy the "rubber covers" to go over the headphones which came with the phone (kind of like the Samsung one)? I find the headphones too small and loose and always fall out of my ear when I use them. I've tried using the Samsung rubber covers but they're a slightly different shape and don't fit well.
I've got Bluetooth headphones as well which I've been using, but would rather not use those when I'm on a plane etc.
Thanks!
This style of headphones doesn't work for for me either. Try the ones with the Galaxy s9, so much better
