I flashed to DCD's 2.10 ROM last night and loving it (thank you DCD!) The one issue I have is with Resco's Today Plugin. I've installed the full version of Resco but I don't see anything in the Today>Items.
Any ideas what this is? Any workarounds, or am I just stuck here? Are there any Resco-esqe Today plugins that do essentially the same thing?
Any thoughts on this?
I have had it working on my 6.1 installs. I don't usually use it though.
Just curious, why do you install that on the today screen? I use resco as well for the registry editor, but I never install the today plug in. Is it really convenient or does it add something? I guess I like to keep my today screen clean.

only that it's pretty frustrating...
i've tried as well different skins and themes, but nothing was displayed properly. either the plugin was completely missing from Today or there was no icons displayed. reinstalled couple of times, but no luck.
i think there's something wrong with the plugin itself. waiting for a new release...
ps. using WM6.1 Test2 from Lenny on my x50v.
pss. 1999TL^, to answer your question: apart of giving a good overview of what's the memory and battery status, this plugin is a great quick-launcher from the desktop. very handy.
I want to install a metamorph them on my Droid Eris it load all the apk fine but every time it get to the framework. Res it never loads I let it go for about 20min nothin I have to pull the battery. Any help would be great.

Make sure you have USB debugger enabled. It must be on for MM to take.
Also, are you applying all of the themes at once? I've always found it helps to install them one at a time. There is another setting you might want to tweak as well - the speed of the Metamorph. Slower actually usually works better. I know it seems odd since you are having issues with it hanging, but it slows down the process and goes through it a little more thoroughly, so hopefully that will allow it to complete the process correctly instead of trying to rush it and it not working right and just freezing it. It might also help if you tell us which rom and theme you are trying. It is a possibility they just aren't compatible.
my debugger is just cant figure out why my framework wont take help
dud your the man i've been trying to use mm for about 1 month the very first them i used it worked i dont know how but it did but every them after that no go.Finally it works i did what you said debugging and the speed perf... thanks again
I was having same issue. I turned usb debuggin and my theme installed fine.

Having trouble with the MetaMorph app? Check out ZipThemer, it can install multiple themes in a single reboot and provides a way to quickly revert in case you change your mind about the theme.

As the title states, since rooting my Thunderbolt, I'm completely unable to connect to it through Eclipse. I posted in the Thread for the BAMF ROM as that's what I'm running, but after Nandroiding back to just after rooting, the same issue is there.
From the few posts I've read (there were only two hits on google) it appears to be related to the permanent ADB root that comes with rooting the phone.
Everything else related to ADB works fine, just not DDMS in eclipse. Development pays my mortgage, so this is kind of a big deal. Can anyone chime in on the problem, or is anyone working on a fix?
Probably an eclipse issue though can't say for sure without serious debugging.
If you're trying to just build applications and test them, you could try http://www.jetbrains.com/idea/ instead. It's what I use. The community version is free and supports android.
http://stuffandtech.blogspot.com/2010/11/android-development-eclipse-vs-intellij.html
Turns out that all the tools are (offcourse, stupid me) in the Android SDK and will launch independently from android/tools. It's even a added benefit that the DDMS runs in it's own window where everything actually works and responds to interaction. The only thing missing is really the GUI preview and that's not a killer feature. IntelliJ seems to get better and better.

I wouldn't say it's an eclipse issue. It worked fine pre-root and works fine on my 4 other phones.
I've used that IDE before and wasn't a huge fan. Thanks for the suggestion though.
do you have usb debugging turned on (on the phone) or tried wireless adb? if so, i have no idea what else it could be.

Yeah... I'm set up correctly. Not my first rodeo.
Just wanted to let folks know, in case you're having similar issues, I managed to get this resolved.
Apparently it's an issue on the the other Desire HD phones as well (Desire HD and Inspire 4G). The Windows version of ADB can only handle 64 simultaneous processes. These phones apparently run a lot more than that. I don't know why, but they do.
In any case, if you use a process manager like Astro or something and "kill" all active tasks before loading up Eclipse/DDMS it will connect fine. Eventually, mine did load back up and crash DDMS, but unplugging the USB, killing active tasks again and then hooking it back up got me going again.
Hopefully this helps someone out!

This process does work for some cases, not for all. I originally had Das BAMF 1.6 regular when I encountered the same problem and was told to flash by another user. I ignored this because I had flashed even a different version to try to fix the problem already (Remix 1.7). So I tried Liquid Thundersense and THE QUOTED METHOD worked as a remedy.
The difference is the readout that Eclipse is giving you. If it reads Target: Unknown, Debug: Blank, State: Offline. You will most likely need to flash. The problem is I can't tell you for certain whether flashing over to liquid was what fixed it. I've gone back and flashed BAMF Remix 1.7 back on and it works fine now. I can't duplicate it. Either way, just try flashing and using Advanced Task Killer till it works. It could take SEVERAL flashes to fix the problem.
It's also an issue ruining linux mint. Everything else works just fine.

What do you mean exactly?
I am still having these problems today, even after killing tasks. I can get it to work maybe 1/20 times, and it is really annoying. Using a friends EVO does not have this problem.
Does anyone know if they are working on a new version of ADB? This seems like a terrible oversight on their part. Why limit it to 64 processes?
Possible solutions

I have no clue about ADB getting an update but Flashing whatever rom you are currently running can fix some of the issues along with just simply rebooting your phone. I had to reflash more than once to get my Tbolt to work.
Another reason why yours may not be working is the security level of your task killing process.
If you are using Advanced task killer go to Menu -> Settings -> Security Level (at the bottom) -> Set to LOW
Then simply kill EVERYTHING, spare nothing while trying to get ADB to work.
Hope this helps

Hi Guys,
Not sure if this happened to anyone yet. I looked through the threads but couldn't find anything.
Issue: Apps sometimes do not launch and require a restart.
Has this issue happened to anyone? Let me know if you have a fix. I thought it might be a problem with a patch or kernel. But my coworker is running stock and has the same problem.
Thanks...

I've had the same problem. It happened on a stock touchpad, just after installing the case, and placing on the touchstone. The app that would not open was the AccuWeather for touchpad.
I solved this by deleting the app, and re-downloading it. So far no problems.
fyi, just received the touchpad on 9/27.
thanks.....
I had the same issue and had a feeling that Accuweather was the issue considering it was not updating properly when on the touchstone.

I can tell you a little about my experience with the theme editor. Unfortunately the experience is very bad.
Off 25 tries I got it ONE time beyond "create new theme" and actually saw a theme screen. after that it crashed again.
This is the worst piece of software I have seen so far. I wonder how people make themes...
agree
