I'm using Android Revolution HD 40.0 on Samsung Galaxy S3 international
Gamekiller 2.6 & 2.61 is not working on my device!
The error shows is that "root privilege is needed", but the thing is I already rooted my phone! (using SuperSU by Chainfire)
May someone please answer me the problem is from?
1. Gamekiller 2.6 & 2.61 itself not compatible on 4,3 -> ( gamekiller 1.9 or older is working on 4.3 )
2. Jellybean 4.3 not support gamekiller? -> ( it's working when I'm on 4.1.2 )
Thanks Have a great day!
(sorry I know my English is quite bad)

Suggest you ask in the apps own forum .
But many of these hack apps don't work from time to time .
Super su is not root are you sure you actually have rooted and by what method .

Hi
I got hold of a S2 and would like to know if there is a CF-Root option for this phone ... details of the updated phone:

No. If you flash I9100 firmware (rom or kernel) on your I9100G you will brick it. Try this thread.

You mention your links ... but all I see there is:
GT-I9100G_DZKI1_insecure
GT-I9100G_ZCKHI4_insecure
How is this relevant to my version?
How would I know exactly what kernels are in that thread ? Have you read past the first page or searched the thread ? Thought not Have you bothered to search for yourself ? Again, I doubt it.

It's nice to blast when you have the answers ... the forum is for questions ... even in the last few pages in your thread (as this is one of the latest builds) ... people are asking the same question on the version with no answers from you ... so that is why I asked the question.
If you were looking for a version and didnt know where to find it ... Im sure you would love getting a response like this? ... And I have flashed and rooted my tablet and sgs1 ... for this specific build on the s2 I didnt see it ... so perhaps if its not the biggest amount of brain-drain for you ... please could you provide a link maybe? ... It would others find it fast too ... you do have an extensive number of posts ... and a 1st page find for a new version just helps people looking for it .... what you think?
Me provide a link after that little tanty ? Um, how about no ? Not going to happen.

I actually have been searching on the build number and have not found any answer on it. I wouldn't have asked the question if I found the answer. Previously I have found all the answers for my tablet and sgs1 here with no need to ask as I could fine relevant version to flash them and root them. If I don't need to talk to anyone about it I wouldnt ... just with so many versions of phones even the sgs1, it is a risk to get hold of the wrong versions.
Anyway .. too much tıme and effort wasted already just writing the comments on this question. Thanks for showing interest

I have the same exact setup as you. Were you able to find out how to root your phone? I search all through that CF-Root thread but can't find a matching kernel... maybe we should try to do a request in that thread for XXKL4?

Hi .. yes I got it sorted (but not wıth the help or direction from the guys above) ... I now have the g version rooted and flashed (althought I have the yellow triangle on boot - Im not worrıed about that, root more ımportant). If you have pre v 2.3.6 then you can root it without using odin. Odin causes the triangle. If you have not udpated to yet and are on 2.3.5 or earlier let me know as there is ways to root and get the Clockworkmod Recovery loaded without using Odin, thus not increasing the binary counter.
I also have the international version which was pre 2.3.6 so I got that rooted etc all fine this way and then flashed it (from the internal SD to ICS 4.0.3 without increasing the counter).

Thanks for your answer. Unfortunately my phone is brand new (1 day old) and I installed the latest Samsung OTA update already (stupid, I know) so I am on 2.3.6 with kernel 2.6.35.7 [email protected] #2 and build XXLB1.
I want to get an ICS ROM running ASAP but I'm only familiar with HTC phones and not Samsung root methods. I'm not sure if I can use SuperOneClick or if I have to use Odin (and which kernel to use?) ... there's a lot of info out there but it's really hard to find someone with my exact model/rev and I don't want to brick my new baby!
It sounds like I should use Odin, but could you explain what kernel you used when you rooted? Thanks very much!!
EDIT: Not sure this matters as far as which kernels I can flash, but my baseband is I9100GXXKL4.

Hi ... I had the same concerns ... 1 day old and how not to brick it ... In the end I just decided to go at it and get it sorted. I downloaded the following ROM to flash with ODIN (I9100GXWKJ2_I9100GODDKJ2_INU.zip) ... you can get it from hotfile.com (http://hotfile.com/dl/147046000/0697ece/I9100GXWKJ2_I9100GODDKJ2_INU.zip.html) ... I loaded it in Odin (phone in download mode) using the PDA option (if the zip has a password, just use the following as the password: samfirmware.com) ... completed and phone is back ... go back to download mode and get the following kernel (MyGKernelV1.1.1_CWM5 i9100G) from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1327509
Enjoy
just sharing on how we can remove the yellow triangle on boot of G s2..
>Assuming you have already rooted with any rooted kernel (ex: myGkernel/superatmos kernel)
>Run “HC-ktool”. Tap "Dump current kernel", then Tap "Reboot to Download Mode"
>When in Download Mode, start Odin, connect the phone and flash any stock Samsung kernel. Phone will reboot itself after that.
>Run “ktool” again Tap "Flash kernel from /sdcard/zImage" (zimage should be the zimage file of ur rooted kernel...copy this zImage in sdcard), then Tap "Reboot"...done
thanks for the info everyone, unfortunately i had issues with my gs2g (mp3 player skipping, gps not locking location well) and so i returned it. it's a beautiful phone but i thought it was too expensive for me to deal with any issues. now i'm hoping for the HTC one x soon! b
best wishes !
I have a problem with my phone .
My Phone is Motorola Fire XT311.
I rooted it by this way http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19133663
It was working okay and all applications which need root access was working good . but suddenly I noticed some problems with my phone and some root applications wasn't working good . so I decided to format the phone from the recovery mode. but it seems that my root is not working anymore , because all root applications say that they can't get access root from SU , I check the allow list in SU i found it ok and the application is allowed but it can't work . I tried to Unroot my phone but superone click says that ( Automatic version check failed. Is your OS Version 2.0 or higher ? ) I click yes but the unroot process can't complete.
that is not the first time to reset factory and always the phone working ok after the factory reset, also that is not the first time to unroot my phone then re toot it .
Could you Please help me or give me Instructions ?!
I tried to search for the original rom but I don't know how to find it and also don't know how to install it.
my current version of android is 2.3.5
Baseband Version : PR2
Kernerl Version : Apps_2.6.32.9
Build number : 4_480_4017
Thank You !! []

I used the method described n the first video in the following link and rot was smooth. I'd suggest running the mentioned script and ref lash CMW in Odin.

Questions go in the Q&A section - not the Dev section
Gonna have to be this guy: This thread belongs in the Q and A section of this forum not the development section. This section is for posting ROMs Kernels and other dev related material. There is a thread furthur down the page describing the root process for the ICS OTA update. Please use search before posting.

Finally, after 7 hours finding the right thread. This one work well.
Good day, everybody!
I've seen that there are here many great experts in this domain, so that I would like, with your permission, to ask why SG S3 has to be factory unlocked before rooting? All the guides provided on pages I've found on internet specify that (as a newbie, I only can assume that factory locked means that the device is working only on a specific mobile carrier, which is applicable in my case).
I also want to get a newer stock version of Android, and I dont't know if the latest is 4.1.2 or 4.2; maybe you can tell me.
From what I've read, in order to do so, I firstly have to root my phone, using a method for the specific kernel I have (XXDLJ4), and then install the software, using clockworkmod and the stock Android kitt. If I've understood it completly wrong, please let me know.
I can figure that you have been hearing this kind of questions over and over in your life, and I understand you perfectly, but I wouldn't be coming here I didn't you're the best.
The AP of my device is 9300XXDLJ4 with CP I9300BVDLI1.
Many thanks for your patience and time,
Cristi

I forgot to mention that my build number is JRO03C.I9300XXDLJ4.

Device locked is for the networks to decide normally a network has the paid for option to unlock .
You should start by reading the FAQS and Guides .
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1927113
As said this is Samsung phone that uses Samsung firmware .You can of course install a custom Android build rom .
Root or custom roms or rom counter above zero or system modified status all void warranty .

You should ask in the Q&A section, but as you are at it, you will find this interesting , as it has all the infos you are searching for :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1674286
Now just read learn and learn again, if you have a device you want to root, just learn how it works, don't wait for anyone to teach you, learn from your mistakes, and confugure your device the way you wanna use it .
