If the rom doesn't have it in settings... you will have to put the font you want in the correct system folder... I'm not sure which, it's been a while since I changed fonts and set permissions manually... but I'll look and get back to ya. I'm at work though, so might be later tonight..
You can make flashable font zips that can be flashed through recovery.
Have a look around the Themes and Apps of the Galaxy S forum, I think there was a tutorial on it somewhere in there.

No... I can't find a setting for it.... but
If you go to system/fonts..... you will notice two fonts that are different colored ( atleast with my file browser )...but all this means is those two fonts have different permissions..
Now it's late here... but tomorrow I will see if changing the permissions on those two to 0644 ( like the others ) and changing one of my choice to 0777 will change the system font..
I can not stress to you enough that this is just guess work on my part... So if you try it and bootloop... I warned you. I'll try it tomorrow afternoon and let you know.... unless you're feeling Bold...:good:

I don't think its possible to bootloop by playing around with the fonts lol. Worst case scenario? No words?
There's an app for that. Just search the play store for font installer by jrummy.

Ya... because how it pulls the system files out.. it's just like messing with the framework/res apk..
You know it's not just adding a font, but overwriting them and setting permissions itself.
I've never changed them on this device, but on my epic running a tw based rom or really any cm/aosp/aokp based rom... it's easy. Just put the font in system/fonts folder and let them overwrite and set permissions, 0644.
I'm going to try it later, but I'm testing a rom right now for a buddy and it has my phone down... lol.
But changing fonts doesn't need root right? I remember changing the font once on stock ICS.

That's different - stock roms have an app called Flipfont that allows that to happen. Unofficial roms don't have this

Actually Im trying to change it to become like the theme in the link I posted in the OP. That theme wasnt made for my rom (stock) so I'm trying to accomodate myself. Ive used apk manager and ninjamorph too but this one is weird. Everytime I push to system/app it either disappears or the stock green one shows up. I finally got it changed a little but its the older version (idk how it became the older version considering I used the newer version and changed png) and its still mostly green. Is there another apk I must change? Thanks for the help!

the newest Market is 2.3.3 make sure thats the one your working with...
From reading a few other themed ROM sections, lots of people with themed ROMS are seeing their themed market apk revert back you the green market.
One suggestion was deleting the market updater apk, clearing ur updates and cache in the themed market apk, and then re-pushing the themed market apk back to system/app.
This worked for me when I was using gingerRED.
Goodluck.

The version I have is 2.21 & how do I uninstall updates?
Here, this is 2.3.2 CWM flashable, neon blue market. It will not update and change back to green unless you want it to. I already skipped two updates and very happy since it didn't change. You might have to reboot a couple of times before it changes and if it doesn't wipe data for market and reboot.

extract apk
change images as needed
optimize images
zip apk (using system option)
take apk and push to system/framework using various methods
the end
ps. all images exchanged are from roms or themes not supported by the stock rom. I get the images to go after Im done but also get hit by a million force closes.

Here you go guys! The actual Roboto system fonts straight from the Android 4.0 System Dump! Here is how to install them:
Install "Font Changer" from the android market [ROOT REQUIRED!]
Then start it up once, so it can make its .fontchanger folder
Then extract the attached zip file and copy the fonts to the .fontchanger/backup folder on your sd card
Restart your tab!
Open font changer, goto advanced tab, and change DroidSans and DroidSans Bold to the attached ones.
Italic and Bold Italic are attached too.

Well most phones already have the stock Eclair keyboard or GIngerbread keyboard. My rom is Gingerbread 2.3.7. So I know this will work if anyone already has either keyboard in their ROM. Ive swapped around to all three keyboards. All worked. and I know the icons are hdpi. They look a lot better on my phone then mdpi. And they get resized by android anyways. I left the characters bigger so they can be seen better. Only notice two characters that hang over a litte bit. Neither causes any issues though. BUT, I guess I could change the icons to mdpi and resize the characters if anyone wants it done.
Thanks for the feedback

After decompiling it
Go to res/drawable-ldpi
Replace all the
stat_battery_xx with ur nokia battery images
Note that don't change name and resolution of those images(.png)

Hmm guess a better way would be to have the flashable zip replace png's instead of replacing the whole apk. Sorry about causing you a bootloop.
I try the png.. But but bars not clear.. What to do

no problem bro,i love to test some things on my phone, dont say sorry to me:good:
I'm using GingerDX v30, I didn't like the Mms UI so I made some changes to it and now it looks attractive to me, guess yall will like it 2
INSTALLATION For GingerDX::
1) Download the ICS style Mms for GB.Zip file
2) Copy it to SD card
3) Go to CWM recovery and install it
4) Reboot and enjoy!
INSTALLATION For Other Gingerbread Roms::
1) Download the ICS style Mms.Zip file
2) Copy it to SD card
3) Go to CWM recovery and install it
4) Reboot and enjoy
btw it's not only for GDX, it works on all GB ROMs so anyone can try it
How we have to install it? Install like nornal app ..or with root explorer

you cannot install it normally. it is a system app. copy it to system/apps and set proper permissions and then restart

do you tested it before???
No need to set any permissions if u install from CWM
Earlier I posted only Mms.apk, for that u have to push it into system/apps and set required permissions, I thought that was a bit difficult for some people to follow, that's why I made this CWM installable zip which pretty much every one can install
the only thing missing from this application is the "delivery report"
walks out of there in great (;

Check enable delivery report in original MMS.apk then replace with new and delivery report works

thanks mate, i flashed the zip file and it works! and i got some dissapointment because the theme is so ugly!
its not all black like in the screen shot that you posted.how can i change that.
the theme is bit greenish where the text box live in and mix of some ugly colors.
i already changed in mms settings and ticked black background and restarted
nothings happen.
any suggestion?
