First nightly for Firefox for Tablets is out... So far not bad. Obviously a lot of work to go, but there is definitely potential.

Dumb question here... but what does nightly mean?
Is it able to Sync Firefox bookmarks?

Alright well then whats the difference between Nightly development builds and regular development builds?
I ask since I see that CyanogenMod7 works with nightly builds also while other roms dont.

No difference- just different names.
BTW nightly builds are usually done automatically by the script running every night.
Ok here's the scoop. These are not official CM9 nighties. Please consider Sbrissens' builds the official CM9 builds. This is his kernel and THSs device tree only modified to build directly from CM9 and not from THS. I am only building these to take some of his load off. Think of his builds as the stable builds and these for what they are Kanged nighties. Now that that's out of the way. I WILL NOT BE TRYING TO ADD THE FASCINATE TO CM9 SOURCE. That is a call that will be made by THS when they decide it is ready. Also remember that I'm building 4 different ROMs now if a nightly isn't out overnight bare with me.
Thanks to Sbrissen, JT1134, THS, Cyanogenmod, Sixstringsg, TKglitch, Efpophis, and bytemark for the server that is doing all the work for all the ROMs I'm building. Efpophis for his tweaks and fixes that we all love.
Bugsā¦. let me know and I will talk with Sbrissen about adding fixes as he is still the official CM9 maintainer.

This nightly is different from Milestone 4 right? I've been running M4 since it came out and I'm loving it but have been expecting an update with it. I was making sure this was not it. Thanks for all the work you continue to do to make our phone run.

yes, m4 is aokp which has mods and features and things... this will be pretty much the same as sbrissen's current THS 6.5, just a little newer if there have been changes in cm9 itself in the last couple of weeks.

Loaded it up, running stock kernal and all my apps i always do, no bugs yet. runs awesome!
Works great so far!
Switched from Milestone 4 to this.
Milestone kept giving me FC errors more consistently over time so i switched over to this.
Works great so far! Thank you!
Does MMS work? That is my biggest concern, especially over wi-fi.

This is basically THS builds with updated CM9 frameworks nightly. As far as I know THS doesn't have MMS over wifi working yet... just MMS should be good though. I'm running AOKP where MMS over wifi is working great though.
PS New nightly up with Sbrissen compass fixes.
PSS until Glitch Releases his next build the old glitch kernel will break compass.... you have been warned.

I take it that this will be a list of the only picks that are relevant to our device?

Galaxy S relevant and general stuff. So mostly general stuff. It will have whatever I deem useful or whatever people contribute.

What should I do if I'm having trouble getting a GPS lock on this ROM? Is it related to the compass (I'm running the Glitch kernel)?

See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1447599
I never got a good gps lock...even on stock....flashed the Google Specific CWM 3.1 (direct link HERE)
After flashing that...even on ICS...instant gps lock on, even indoors. Give it a try, just flash in recovery.
EDIT: I am not sure as to what is the compass as compared to the GPS...I believe they are separate sensors.
New Nightly up. This is another str8 CM build. I am going to try to get the cherry picks added in starting tonight.
New clean CM9 kang, with a surprise. http://goo-inside.me/devs/glitch/CM9_Kangs/Fascinate
Edit: just remembered, I didn't remember stephen's special ingredients, so it might not have 3G. I'll fix it later.
Edit2: I was wrong, it should work fine.

crackflashing it now man
Hello. So I recently flashed the latest cm10.1 nightly for some fun and I'm actually really impressed by it. But what would make this rom even more superb is if I could use etweaks.. which brings me to my question: is there any compatible kernel to install with this ROM? I tried the latest siyah kernel and it didn't work for crap.
No.

That is not accurate
Siyah-i777 v7.0 works fine on all CM10.1 based ROM's.
It is now posted in the Dev section.

?!??
What about an off one like dream, fluxx or something? any luck with them? Cause Siyah just goes hella choppy slow. like 1/8th of normal speed really.

There's no chance that you've tried Siyah-i777 v7.0 - I just uploaded it like an hour ago. This is the first version that has CM10.1 support.
It is not choppy at all..... performance is actually VERY good.
You really should at least look at the version numbers before saying something is choppy or other bad feedback that is not deserved at all.

Of course after I answer his question you upload this. Lol. Yes folks there is now a kernel that supports 4.2.1! Thanks to all who made this possible!

Can't the CM10 questions be kept to the CM10 thread?
Members lets try to keep the CM 10 threads to the CM thread itself already established, Thank You
I'm new to the whole "nightlies" concept. What's the difference between the nightlies and the main build? Or how do they work exactly? TIA

Nightly builds will normally have bugs that they are trying things out to solve them. Nightly builds are posted "nightly." Stable builds are "stable"

Ah, thank you very much!
Hey guys Carbon Rom nightly is now available for our device! Not sure if this is the right section because I don't have anything to do with making the rom, but I see their is one for Cyanogenmod so I think I am safe.
Again I did not create this nor do I have anything to do with helping build this rom. I'm simply sharing what I found with you guys.
Here it is: http://carbon-rom.com/downloads/?device=ls980
I'm just happy with all the love our variant is getting now
Screenshots from my phone:
Does this still have those slowdowns and camera issues that was plaguing the KitKat ROMs? Bugs?

Cool I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.
Yeah sms/calling over LTE does not work . The good news is it's very fast/smooth. It runs on CM's kernel so its fast at least. It's a first build so I'm sure this will get fixed soon, in fact this is the first official nightly of carbon rom.
Edit: also very strange proximity sensor bug...if you cover the sensor with your hand even just a little bit it will shut the screen off and right when you move it away from the sensor it will turn back on. It's strange I have never seen this before I though maybe it was pocket mode, but I unchecked it and it still does it. Oh well its a first release, lots of bugs is fairly normal. Cant wait to see what this looks like further down the road. Love this rom. Right up their with PA for me.
Stoked to try this. Can we use philz touch recovery to install?

I'm not positive on that. I can confirm it flashes properly with twrp 2.6.3.3 though. You can try but I know some ROMs require twrp to flash properly.
