Is this a new problem? Does your EVO show up on the list of available devices when looking from the other device? And does your EVO see the different devices?
I just returned a refurbished phone to Sprint because of this.

[Q] Why doesn't 4G work on the unlocked bootloader?

I know the current unlocked bootloader causes you to lose 4g.
I'm curious as to why. I've tried searching these forums and googling this, but all I can find is posts and articles that say it simply doesn't work, but never mentioning why. From my Evo 4G days, when they unlocked the bootloder, 4G was never lost and the same is true with the Evo 3D. Revolutionary was able to unlock without affecting 4G. I'm wondering why the photon is different. Does Motorola's bootloader do things differently? Or is something else at play here?
Basically, I am hoping someone can tell me why 4G is lost in the current bootloader.
(P.S. This isn't a complaint or anything. I know there are good devs working on this. I am genuinely curious about why 4G doesn't work with the unlocked bootloader)

When the Evo 4G was originally unlocked, it did kill 4G. Pretty much for the same reason ours does - the bootloader passes off some keys to the 4G radio so that you can connect to the network - ours is missing that part of the hand shake. Jugs has a fix in mind, but is having a hard time coming up with the hardware to build a new bootloader - at least that was the case about 2 weeks ago.
same thing happened with the evo shift. When it was unlocked it took a while to get it figured out how to keep 4g.

That's old news - he always had compatible hardware (but didn't realize it) and then someone gave him a 64-bit OS. Other issues have arisen since then - I just don't think that path will produce anything.

[Q] Evo LTE flashed with One SV/Force for LTE on Boost

I have the HTC Evo LTE flashed to Boost with a 3G doner phone (TP2). Been working great.
I now want to flash a One SV or a Boost Force (made by ZTE) to have 4G as part of my service as well.
Would this be possible? With regard to flashing LTE from phones, is that plausible in this case? I have CDMA paid and other tools. I want information before I attempt to tackle this project.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Honestly, your treading open water there, (I'm betting) your not gonna find anyone to offer any input simply because very little to few have even attempted yet...I would have already myself, as I work exclusively with flashing to Boost, but unfortunately, Columbus doesn't have LTE yet. I can tell you though, that the second we get it up and running out here I will dive into it and definitely report back here if no one else hasn't yet.
Would love to hear how it went for you if you try it, a nice tutorial would even be nicer . Good luck with it, either way. BTW, I have heard it is definitely plausible.

[Q] Evo 3D Sprint activation

Hello Everyone, I'm trying to activate my fathers Evo 3d on the Sprint network. The phone is currently running CM 10.1 "Wild for the night." I've gone through the process of activating the phone on Sprints end but every time I try to activate the phone I get a message that says that I'm "not authorized to call this number."
This feels like a stupid question but does this phone have to be running stock Sprint software/firmware to activate? If so, how do I know what version of the software I need?

Any stock sprint ROM will work for activation. Since your running WTFN, your hboot is incompatible with most Sprint ICS ROMS, so you could either flash an old Sprint gingerbread based ROM, or change your hboot to 1.58 and flash a sprint ICS based ROM

[Q] Quick question - bluetooth

Okay, I have an HTC EVO 4G LTE.. I have hardware version 0003, although I am waiting on the (late) update to 4.3 from HTC, My Bluetooth is NOT working.. I have tried the bluetooth fix (Needed root), did NOT work. It is NOT a known issue to HTC, however to Sprint it is. Any Ideas Community?:crying:
Yes, it is a known issue to Sprint, as several customers have returned their phones for that sane issue. I have had that issue as well, and nothing fixed it. Your device probably needs to be returned.

Take your phone to sprint and tell them your Bluetooth doesn't seem to work.
That is, assuming you have service with Sprint - if you don't it will just be awkward.
