I found out that when I play YouTube video with bluetooth headset, the audio is ahead of the video by about a second. I have tested my bluetooth on another android tablet and there's no such a problem. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Moderator would you help me move this to the troubleshooting forum if you think it fits better there. Thanks.

Playing audio through bluetooth is doing one more step of encoding. As a result, a delay of audio happens.

Thanks but I have used the same bluetooth headphone on multiple phones and tablets now, none of them have delays but this one.

I thought it was just my I527(AT&T) but now I see I'm not alone, I also tried the same bluetooth on other phones even my old Tilt and there was not out of sync there. So what gives Samsung?

I've read a few threads where People are playing their music and sounds thru Bluetooth. I've tired changing the output in the stock music app, but it doesn't stick, the sound still comes out of the phone speakers. I don't see anything Under settings. Am i missing something?

Are you already paired with the BT device?
What ROM are you running, there is a known bug in the currant ICS releases.
Matt
I'm paired, calls work fine. I'm running GB, clean rom 1.6.5 sp1. I haven't tried an ICS ROM yet.

I remember having selected output at some point when I was getting it going. Now it selects it on its own. So when I connect in the car and it's paired it automatically plays the music through the car stereo, when it's not paire it plays through the phone speakers. Of course, I do have to select BT for my music input in the car. Could it be as simple as having overlooked that option on the paired device?
Pairing for phone and pairing for audio are two separate things. Make sure you are paired for audio.

Yeah... that's it. I had to also connect the phone as a portable music player for the car in addition to pairing it.
I'm using btmono by bedoig from the marketplace. I use the free version and it works great on infellibis 1.1.

What are you trying to push music too? Whatever it is, it must support A2DP.
I have a Sony BT head in my truck and stream Pandora from my phone to it. I also have a set of BT stereo over the ear headphones. Both devices boost the Rez's music stream...fantastic audio quality.
Check out "btmono" on the market....it might work for you.

Have you guys ran into this? watching netfix on bluetooth headset causes the audio to not sync with video?.
Yep...

Only on wifi... Since Bluetooth and wifi uses the same chip, you might get some lag.

WOW, that really sucks. I haven't tried yet but i hope there will be a fix for this like updated driver. i picked up a sennheiser bluetooth headphones, and a bluetooth stereo speaker.
It has issue with both using the wifi or data. older version of Netflix didn't have any issues, but wouldn't play some.movies at all.

Add crackle app to the list, must be blutooth driver issue on the note.

So after reading some posts I see that there is supposed to be a red B in the task bar when playing music to signify beats audio is working... Well I have never seen this no matter what song I play or what music player I use. Any suggestions on why it's not working???

Only when the Audio Jack is in play. (I.e. earbuds, car, Bluetooth headphones)

It only shows when you have an audio output device connected, like headphones or Bluetooth devices.

I have a different device but I figure it may apply to beats in general. Mine just plain doesn't work. It's installed, I tried a redownload and reflash and it doesn't work at all. There's no icon, and when I change settings the sound doesn't do so.
Just curious if anyone else is having trouble with playing audio on 4.4 Roms. The music plays fine but I keep getting audio glitches throughout the songs at random intervals. I am running kitkang with viper4android. I don't think it's the audio mod because before I installed the driver on the latest nightly it was still glitching. Thanks for any input guys!

This happens with plugged jacks too? All aosp ROMs from 4.2 have had Bluetooth audio issues exactly like you describe, but none through the headphone jack...

Yes this happens while running through the headphone jack, I never use BT

Ugh I think this issue is a double edged sword, after more troubleshooting I found that switching lpa.decode to true stops the glitches but also makes viper4android stop working. I guess I'll just have to wait for things to get worked out!
Edit: Come to find out after even more screwing around I finally found the culprit.........my kernel settings were not allowing to clock speeds to jump up fast enough to compensate for the audio processing, wow do I feel silly. Mod's you can delete this if you want!

hi. I've got an L9 recently, compared to many negative reviews I'm satisfied with it, but when I listen to music via earphones, music sometimes skips for less than a second, usually once or twice per song, then it goes on from where it stopped. I have tried it on stock and cm11 too. funny thing is I have no problem via speaker, not even when I play big games like GTASA. As I said it's not something I can't live with, I'm just curious if anyone else has this bug. I'm using Panasonic inear earphones btw, with no DSP manager etc enabled. I have also tried several players. thanks for any replies.

still nothing? I will try player pro tomorrow, it has cpu priority and very high buffer size settings, hopefully those will fix it. also when I greenified every app in its hibernation list the problem mostly disappeared.. maybe also should try performance governor when listening to music.
It's just so damn annoying that a mid-range phone with 1gb ram has this bug, I also read many people with Galaxy Nexus have problems like this, which has a very similar CPU.
